is anyone here who tested both, classic and wizard? which one is more stable and effective? which one do you prefer and why? thanks for replies

I've got a couple of issues with this tactic

1) Teams seem to score Alot of goals from long range against us (might be a problem with the game though)

2) Seem to have 15-20 shots a game and have trouble converting them

Now, i've tried increasing the tempo, going more direct, shouts etc, but doesnt seem to be working, anyone got any idea's?
 
Can't realy say I like this type of tactics, but one thing is for certain.. It's awesome.

Started a new game with Newcastle using this tactic (modified a bit tho) and didn't take long before my team had dominated, well.. everyone.

Won the league again with the 442 tweak. This year we also managed to win the Champions league, Next season, I wont post any more results as the team will probably be strong enough to win with a default 442 ( big budget and we are considered a big club now)

2 Question: a) is it necessary to play with Opposition Instructions? ... i have the feeling my defence is much better with the deepest defense line. :S

The post I made was to encourage users - and show that its possible - to tweak the tactic ( The wizard version Final unbeaten by Mr H & JP) into one that suits their team( rather than using my tweak). Therefor, no tactic wil be uploaded

But basically, the positional tweaks have been made.

Move the outer FCs into MR/L
Move the Central FC into FCleft
Move the left MC into Fcright
Move the DMC into the left MC spot

..and the following player settings have been tweaked.

Raise the mentality of the DCs by 2 notches
- This to make up for not having a DMC to cover the hole between the M and D strata

Mirror the roles of the 2 DCs
- this so that the more aggressive DC plays being the more attacking MC to close up the gap better ( instead of him playing behind the other MC(defensive), making them go for the same man.

Make the "new" FC, the previous MC a Target Man.
- this is done by changing his role to Target Man. The only thing this will actually change in his settings is to give him Hold up ball. After this, you can change his other settings to suit the player at hand


...and these team settings have been changed

Target man supply = to feet
Focus play = mixed, only changing it to suit extreme conditions and oppositions

Forgive my ignorance but DC = Center back?

And when mirroring the 2 roles.. what do you mirror it to?

Oh and 1 last question... do you tick the target man box...?

I don't have a folder called 'Filters', should I just make one or..?
 
I only conceded like 17 goals this season with wreden bremen,but ALL of them with header,and my CB are Very tall And have great air abillity

Excellent tactic. Took over Cardiff in 2024 and started using this tactic, got them from League One and administration into the Champions League and no debts in 4 seasons

Has anyone else tried using it in down in tier 9 or 10. Doesn't really seem to work for me there
 
Tweaked it as the better half explained into a flat 4-4-2 so far so good, will post screenies later.

yes, DC = Center back

Swap them for each other or mirror them manually so that they get each other settings.

As I am using the Wizard version, the target man gets selected per default and you would have to "tick " the box and selcted no player if not wanting to use it but if one uses the classic mode, then you would have to tick the box and drag him into the drop meny

Great tactic but found it slightly inconsistent with Ghana in the World Cup. I only managed to scrape wins against Bahrain and Switzerland, lost to Slovenia but beat Italy 6-1 in the Semi-Final. Not complaining though, it has always brought be success especially taking a level 11 team to League 1! Thanks :)

It works perfectly now. Ghana new world champions :D

Ive just turned the wizard tactic Dave and myself worked on into a wingers version. Early testing has been quite positive,going to give it a proper test now. If it goes well ill send Dave it so he can have a look and maybe release it.
