Wingers Version can be really good :D
but dont you think we shud make 2 MCs,cause youl need very good MC to hold most of middle area,that will hurt this great possesion of this tactic.

Thanks for the advice but i think i know what im doing. ;)

The DM will be helping hold the middle area and the deep lying forward also drops back into midfield too.
 
Hi everyone,

I post here very rarely, but am very active on Mr. Hough's thread at SI forums.

Looking at the pic of the modified Wingers version that JP Woody posted. That formation is actually pretty good. I've had a lot of experience using the exact same shape in a Charlton Athletic career. Having one center MC is not a problem as some might be concerned with. He does have a partner in the DMC. Plus as long as both are solid players (no necessarily world class), then there wont be any problems. At least no more than using any other arrangement of MCs.

Good luck in testing it JP Woody. I look forward to trying it out if and when it get's released.
 
Just finished my 2nd season with this tactic, slightly tweaked myself but not claiming any glory for that.
won Premier League, League Cup and FA Cup and only went out on away goals with my Blackpool side in the Champions League Semi-Final. Lukaku hit 41 goals and was out for a month or so injured.
Now starting with new game as Borussia Dortmund, so will see how it works in another league / another country.

what kind of mids do you use as ive had loads of top players including gerrard lamps to name a few but they dont score

crazy tactic
I started a game with italy and after manu came in for me
With italy i won 2 world cups and european cup lost 2 games both friendlys to brazil
with manu in 3 years i am unbeeten in 68 games
!st season only thing i lost was champs cup in final to realmadrid
2nd sesson won every thing
3rd just started but so far won every thing
Have to say love this tactic as my wingbacks play so well
Even the youngones :)
 
This tactic is definatly totally insane.

I've started with a new Manchester United game and scored 25 goals in 5 games that's ridiculous.

I will end up scoring 150+ goals if I keep playing like this tactic.
 
fantastic tactic.

First game with Bleid (Div3 Belgium) in my second season. 27 shots, 11 on target and 5 CCC's

to bad my attackers suck, only won 0-1. But goal is fight against regelation, so it's going good

Any chance you could PM with the team you used? as in did you buy any extra players or just used the squad you get at the start? what positions you put your players and if you changed anything at all.

Because i am currently running a new Man U game and i did win the friendly games quite comfortably but as soon as the league games started i found my team struggling to score any goals.

I am using the Wizard tactic and it is actually amazingly good for defense and possession with most games me ending with 55-70% possession but i am averaging 0.5 goals per game currently.

I did a bit of tweaking myself and so far after 5 matchs that has been upped to 2.5 goals per game but since i still quite new to the tactics part of FM that could just be a few lucky games.

Its a great tactic and maybe me being new and not fussing with the team talks etc is giving me worse results than it should but i currently cant go more than about 4-5 games in a row before i start loosing badly.

In regards to the tactic listed in the original post, what patch was it created on?
