Any chance you could PM with the team you used? as in did you buy any extra players or just used the squad you get at the start? what positions you put your players and if you changed anything at all.

Because i am currently running a new Man U game and i did win the friendly games quite comfortably but as soon as the league games started i found my team struggling to score any goals.

I am using the Wizard tactic and it is actually amazingly good for defense and possession with most games me ending with 55-70% possession but i am averaging 0.5 goals per game currently.

I did a bit of tweaking myself and so far after 5 matchs that has been upped to 2.5 goals per game but since i still quite new to the tactics part of FM that could just be a few lucky games.

Its a great tactic and maybe me being new and not fussing with the team talks etc is giving me worse results than it should but i currently cant go more than about 4-5 games in a row before i start loosing badly.

Well I used this tactic so far at my "United No Glazers" save game where Rony and Carlito still play for Manchester United.

The front 3 CR - Rooney - Tevez is just insane after 10 games in the league Rooney has scored 11 goals, CR 9 and Tevez 8.

Sure this attacking line-up is light years better then the current United attacking line-up so you need to get some good strikers.

I suggest you keep an eye out for very fast strikers.

Agüero would be a really great choice I'd say since he is fast and has a good work rate but he is very expensive but worth the money.

Another striker I would suggest that could help you is Neymar he is less expensive then Agüero but develops into a world class striker within two years.

A set-up of Agüero - Rooney - Neymar should do wonders for your goal rate but will unfortunately cost you around 85mil €.

To sum it all up get really fast strikers into your team and you should see the goals flowing in like crazy.

I also used the classic version and not the wizard version.

I don't know why but this tactic don"t work for me (10.3)
no loose in 10game but difficults draws against all team and poor player's rating.
Is there a playmaker or target man ?
i'm disapointed because i have great result with 10.3 Mr.H_Zico10_gsc beta wizard tac with 3 differents clubs ( marseille, leeds and gela (serie c italian club.)
I really love ur tact Mr Hough and particulary the 3 striker so i post in order to understand what i 'm doing wrong with this one.May be it's the wizard , i didn't try the classic .

note: possession and passes completed are great no problem .

try training valencia and nani into strikers so they can play in the position you need, stick valencia on right of front 3 and nani on left - should work well when you counter attack

That's a good idea if you don't want to spend any money on expensive players. Wingers usually have all the attributes be great L and R strikers in that formation.

My current forward setup is Agüero - Rooney - Owen

Midfielders are Carlos Eduardo - Nani

And anchorman is Annan

As i said maybe i doing something else wrong because to me that team should be atleast dominating some of the weaker sides in the league and yet so far i drew against wigan and hull 0-0 both times.

The other team never seems to be able to score but i can never make any decent opportunities to score myself so no clue whats wrong.

Nani isnt a good Midfielder,try moving rooney to right,i havnt got a good exprince with him at depp lying.
Put scholes in the midfield instead of nani

So far it seems to be working better with closing down of the players level with the defensive line of the team.

I used it on Atletico madrid, and i won the spanish titel/ Uefa cup/ SUper Cup, and i could use my strikers better then any tactic, anyway my def isnt very good so i lost 4 times, i mean it is the spanish league lol real M and barca arnt always losing , and sometimes i had to make my own change's in it cuz my team needs change's sometimes overal this tactic is good for teams who play 3 strikers like ajax.... barca.....arsenal..... etc

This 1 i think? Unbeaten- Arsenal it's called, but i made some change's for it tho , because my def was very weak when its too much on the attack for me.

Best first seaon i ever had lmao , im now world class trainer and im in the top 5 of all dutch trainers, and brazil was looking for a new manager so i apply's i got the job in 1,2 days Ingame, and im 1 of the important figures of Atletico Madrid now

Just finished my 2nd season with this tactic, slightly tweaked myself but not claiming any glory for that.
won Premier League, League Cup and FA Cup and only went out on away goals with my Blackpool side in the Champions League Semi-Final. Lukaku hit 41 goals and was out for a month or so injured.
Now starting with new game as Borussia Dortmund, so will see how it works in another league / another country.

Finished the Borussia Dortmund season, but disappointing 7th finish. I'm hoping for a decent transfer budget to bring in some better players, but tactic not so effective here.

Dont matter where u put him , aslong as he can play upfront center, u could mix up 1 half left side of the 3 CF and second half right of CF , to mix the oppisition marking .

then u get a strong legged right foot player, vs weaker left DF when u mix it each half.

I am currently having great success using a 41212 tweak using the "wizard-settings" more (meaning that a wider range of shouts are available) .I use Rigid - Control, The D-line and Closing Down settings provided by Woody( middle+2 notches), a DMC playmaker and a TM.

Season: 2009/10
Teams: Sheff wed ( top of the league) Wolfsburg( top of the league) and Bolton( sitting 4Th), all in January and all in the same save. No signings

In all teams I manage, the ***-man picks the team. I have also tried this with a top notch team - My Barnsley side and we have not conceded in 12 matches( 10W-1D-0L, 29F-0A)


So basically, this tactic, the amount of t-balls, fwruns, the manmarking and overall mentality can be used as a great platform to use the wizard to its full. In most matches, I use between 6-15 shouts, sometimes just taking a breather or retaining possession but also by changing strategy to Counter or Overload

EDIT: No tactic will be uploaded or provided in a pm. This is once again just a way of showing that you can tweak this tactic into alsmot anything, this time using the Rigid framework to make this a full wizard tactic
