mmmm not too good in competitive matches. Conceding all the time, trounced by Arsenal 5-0, Stoke 5-1, lost to Newcastle 2-1 at home and they had 10 men??? Beat Liverpool in the Capital Cup which is probably why I still have a job. Switched to the 442lord and 5 wins from 5 so far (during poor morale) though still conceding. Any advice please as I do like this formation?
Bought Anderson from Man Utd - all other players as normal squad.

Try changing the strategy from attacking to defensive/counter may make a difference. You can even try pushing the defence line back by one and see what it does.

If you enjoy the 442lord tactic /formation but want to improve its defence I'll suggest to use the same corner and free kick instructions as on the 4411 tactic as this will help concede fewer goals.
 
best tactic ive used for fm 13 so far. using liverpool beat barcelona 7-2 over two legs in the champions cup, won the premier league, beat united to win the fa cup and beat real madrid in the champions cup final. season ended on a 13 match win streak.

HUGE FAN OF THIS TACTIC.

1st season as macclesfield NOT using this tactic i finished 10th. Switched to this tactic halfway thorugh second season and got promoted through the playoffs.

Not in league 2 and tipped to finish 24th i am currently sitting 2nd after 21 games.

Sorry guys, but I definitely dont know how to use this tactic. After a big fail with QPR, i've been starting a new save with Newcastle. And exactly same result... I lose every games... I even didn't score a goal in 5 games... Hopeless

Here are a few tips that I hope will work:
-Ensure the game has been updated to 13.2.2 (tactic was created around this patch)
-Use your best defensive midfielder in the BWM position (does make a huge difference)
-Striker and AML should ideally have good finishing stats (helps with goals) - If you have a tall striker this will help score more from corners. (Its the way I set-up the corner instructions)
-Ensure morale within the team is satisfactory (at the least) otherwise no tactic would work with a low morale team
-If you signed many players at the start of the season I will suggest to change the training focus to team cohesion so the new players can gel in better with the squad. (I usually avoid signing too many players as I believe this will not allow you to make full use of the tactic; will take longer to make tactic fluid)

-Also check previous posts where users have left some tips and advice. Sometimes even the smallest change will make the difference

Championship: A very easy win, place 1
Cup: losing in the 2nd round
Champions League: Real Madrid lose in 1 \ 4
 
Hey guys it's my first post on this forum ever, just wanted to say hello at start(H)

So it's 2018 in my game, and I'm manager of At.Madrid for a little more than 2,5 season. With my own tatic I have been twice 3rd. It was good in the attack, but conceded to much goals. From this season I was thinkin that I will give a try to this tatic and look what I have accomplished with it:)
At the end of this season I had a little crisis because I had 5 points advantage over the second Real Madrid 4 games before end. But it was enough to win(H) Also I have won Spanish Cup beating Real Madrid 4:0:D In the Europa Champions League I have lost to Tottenham in 1/8.
Maby my team didn't score so much goals as Barcelona or Real but this tatic is just fantastic in defense! Just look at it! Lost only 25:) At second screen are games at home only.


Just wanted to say that for the first time I'm not afraid of my defense in the FM13!

Fantastic achievement here....im glad that mine and mr langvatn's defensive approach to this tactic has paid off....thanks for your feedback
 
This is a fantastic tactic that I tried mid-way through my AC Milan first season, that took me from a 12 point distance to just losing the league to a single point. In season 2, it's still early december, and I'm already 12 points above second place, enjoying a 20 match unbeaten run.

I am now trying the tactic with my favourite kind of competition - Lower League Management. I will try this out with Vauxhall Motors in Blue Square North and report back after a season or two :-)

First season in league 2 after promotion. Media Prediction 24th - bottom

I finished 5th!!!!!!!!! and the best part i won the playoffs so BACK TO BACK promotions.... I love this tactic..
 
lordofavp can you send me the Mr Langvatn Feat Lordofavp Testing V2 with a right inside foward instead of a left inside foward.
I could make it myself but Im afraid to do something wrong.... please
