They are very good in this game also, it's just more randomness in the game because of fewer options. I test in a custom database to remove much of the randomness, exactly because I want to test which TACTICS perform the best in the long run. Testing in a custom database with the right parameters can be just as accurate as five seasons in a normal game.
 
my long standing opinion is that this type of game must be released every two year.

also I must say that Miles and his crew are far behind in tactical knowledge compared to me and other experienced tacticans on forum.

they will never acept or ask opinion from experienced players and that is also one of big problems.
 
Thinking of starting a new game with the new 343 and 442. Probably 343 at home and the 442 for away/tough games. Great work as usual Mr L.
I think I saw mention you were working on v2's of these two new tactics. Is it worth waiting for them before I start a new game?

They are more than fine as it is :) I have tried improving the 3-4-3 without luck. The 4-4-2 Heavy Metal you can find some pages back, but I haven't found any more imprements for that either. I'm now testing/tweaking a 4-3-3.
 
New start it is. I usual spend a few weeks messing about usual with big teams to learn the ropes but with these tactics I'm confident to start asap.

January update using 442 Heavy Metal.
I believe the image speaks for itself...
I started using it after Belenenses 4-1 game.

I've got some troubles on Champions League, i ended up in 3rd, the first defeat against Galatasaray ruined my chances. The 1-0 lost against Chelsea was with a classic FM goal, when my defender does an awful pass to my keeper, and the Chelsea striker scores.
But besides that, it's my best season ever, 15 games, 15 wins at Portuguese League.

I basically registered for this site just so I could post about the 3-4-3. I stared at the thing for about 10 minutes just thinking and theorizing about it. So narrow and so many numbers in midfield. Just dominate the middle third. Well done sir. I started watching with extended highlights and then just had to watch it without interruption. Probably need a good 5 defensive midfielders with high work rate and stamina to rotate throughout the season in order to avoid injuries. Those guys are the lifeblood of the tactic though. But the role simplicity is what makes it doable. 4 roles. That's it.

Gorgeous football man. Very very pretty.

In the final version of the tactic, which I 'm running through the test now, I have made a small change from the one I posted earlier. Set the Fullbacks to attack duty :) It actually is an improvement defensively too! (Even away against big teams). There are a couple other changes too, will upload the final version soon.

I just wanted to say thanks. Im using the 41221fix3d tactic, and having alot of fun.

No ingame editor allowed/used, no reloading - just taking the game 1 by 1 and adjusting/paying attention. Seems to work so far!
 
In the 4411 the LM and RM play as an inside forward or a winger ? And so they should be left footed or right footed ?

RM is a winger, LM is a Wide Midfielder who is cutting inside. So, inverted LM, not inverted RM then.
