Mr Langvatn FM16 Tactic Center

Sorry if this has been asked before but do you use the new OI's for the 442 heavy metal too or just the 343? Really like the 442, tempted to use home and away.

I am not able to re-test all tactics with the OI's, so you will just have to try them :) I do believe that the OI's I have set are universal though. Should be good for all my tactics.

Good luck mate - just move F9 to AMC and use Advanced Playmaker role. Then individual player instructions as:

- Pass it shorter
- Move in to channels
- Get further forward
- Mark tighter
- Roam from positions

Everything else exactly the same :) I'm also switching to counter if I'm in the lead at 75+ mins to play it safe, but usually end up scoring another anyway!

Do you think this would work if all three F9's were changed to Advanced Playmakers? It would help in the really low leagues where F9's are difficult to sign.

Hi mate - no as Mr L said the tactic is designed around the F9. It depends on what style of football you want to play whether you want to change a role or not, but I wouldn't change more than one F9 personally.

For me I changed the centre F9 striker to a Advanced Playmaker AMC position (with attack duty) and added them individual player instructions above. Felt it just made for more enjoyable build up play and chances but the original version is great too.

It's also worth noting too that I had Lodeiro who I couldn't fit in as a F9 or anywhere else on the tactic - so creating this role meant I had a better XI - it depends on who you have available but as you said it would be easier to find a good Advanced Playmaker than a F9 in lower leagues. Good luck

There were no changes between the end-beta and the full release, so all the tactics in the "earlier versions" folder are designed for the current patch/ME.

i read threw the post would any one say the 4-4-2 heavy metal is best to away as i am using 4-4-1-1 i do not wanna disrupt my team that much as i am half way threw a season thanks in advance

between 4411 spin the wheel and 4411 heavy metal which one is stronger?

About the same I would say... Spin the wheel is perhaps a tad stronger at home, while Heavy Metal is perhaps a tad better away. The test results were too much alike that it's impossible to say for sure which is stronger.

Hi Mr L, I was wondering what was the core of the 4231 when you originally made it? What makes the tactic have that much possession? Is it the fact that it's set to Control?

The TI's, the PI's and the Control mentality. I found out early this patch that possession-based tactics get better results than other types, no matter how strong your team is. So, that's why all of my tactics this patch are possession-based. The neat thing about the Heavy Metal tactics though is that they also have the possession, but there are some players on the field who are allowed to pass more direct. This results in more goals for some of the formations. Maybe next patch something else will be better :)

Hmm, that suggests I can play around with the roles and it shouldn't affect it too negatively :D

Correct :) It's a good base to play around with :) You shouldn't play around with the Team Instructions too much though (perhaps none at all).

Thank you my initial thought is to have two Inside Forwards, one on Attack, one on Support :D and the classic Cover/Stopper CB pairing.

On an unrelated note, has anyone else experienced an increase in the game crashing/freezing?

sorry to ask again is the 4-4-2 heavy metal best to use for away games if you are using the 4-4-1-1 at home???

Is it just me or does the v2 and v3 of 3-4-3 heavy metal give you less possession? Im not sure myself as Im trying them out with Barcelona but so far they havent given me as high possession ratings as the first version did when I used it with Spurs.

Maybe its just a matter of the team getting to know the tactic (its accomplished right now) but then again, Barcelona is a lot better than Spurs so the possession should really be higher than around 50% even when its only "accomplished".

I'm curious, what kind of players are people having succes for the WM position with in the 3-4-3 v3? I can see that the players are set to cut inside but from the screenshots of the Test Team matches the its pretty standard midfielders playing on that position?
