My tactics are unlikely to get good results as they rely on every player except centre backs and keeper to have specific attributes but the testing process uses generic players in all positions.

We don't use generic players by the way :)

I agree with Franky. Most tactics require specific types of players to work. Good tactic creators clearly state in their tactic threads what sort of players should you look for when building a team. Hand-picking the starting 11, while taking these requirements into account, should be a requirement for this test to have any value at all.

Generic as in players with general attributes and not necessarily what the tactic requires. As mentioned before, a couple of my tactics are highly dependant on having a creative DLF and fast CF, as that's what makes them click. You've already stated that you don't put specific types of players in specific positions so the results are not going to be truly accurate. Also, I can't see how OIs are part of any tactic. It seems your test process is not for the tactic but for the tactic plus specific OIs. Again, this will lead to fluctuating test results. In my opinion, a tactic should not be dependant on specific OIs so the test process should be done without any OIs.... only that way can you compare the ACTUAL tactics. For me, your whole test procedure is extremely flawed and I certainly can't take it seriously for the reasons mentioned. I would suggest you take this on board as constructive feedback and perhaps look to refine your whole test process. You're doing a good job in investing much time into this thing..... only makes sense to do it properly by leaving aside the influence of OIs as they are optional and not part of any tactic, as well as perhaps looking at the player requirements in the relevant tactic threads and giving the players the suggested attributes, whilst keeping the overall PA the same....... only then will we get any sense of accuracy on how good a tactic really is.

To test in the way that some people want is impossible due to time limitations :) If you want a test that has much more micromanaging, then I think you have to make one yourself, because we don't have that kind of time to spend on something we don't make any money on :)

But regarding OI's, they are not optional imo. If a tactic has been created with a specific set of OI's, then those are the OI's that should be set. I guess we just have to agree to disagree on this matter :)

So...mrl u are testing so long all tactics...in fm16 u have created the best tactic...why now dont u create anymore tactis???i hope to create soon ...

Creating a "top" tactic now requires several hundred hours of work, which I simply don't have at the moment :)

Disagree on this. OIs are definitely part of a tactic. I run my own league specific test where I use real players with optimum key attributes in every position and the test results are not far from Mr L's.

I'm going to try this date 442. OI's? Corner's? Any other advices?

Altough I truly respect your hard work and time invested in this project, I'm starting to doubt the reliability of your testing. Even if you get consistent results if repeating the test with the same tactic over and over again, I think the question is that when playing it doesn't work out the same way, can't really understand why. It's true I got great results with some of the top tactics, mainly with Watford 343 v2, but started playing around with other tactics, and discovered date 442! date 442! 2017_5FCAB3E9-6214-4702-A659-F272B21B4847.fmf‎ (that I simply ignored until now), suggested in this thread 2 top tactics...., and is (for me) THE BEST tactic I've tried this year, no matter if you are the underdog or the top club. It works all around, with the benefit of the gameplay looking much more realistic than most weird shaped tactics. Honestly it's simply impossible that this tactic position in your table reflects it's real value.

well I guess there isn't any game engine changes...
