Mr Langvatn's Tactic Thread (Updated for 13.3.3)

I am really pleased with the rock classic with my ajax team. I made one tweak, I pushed the wingers from the midfield to the wingerlocation. I see that the defensive stability still is there but I score more goals.

I have tried your tactics and I think rock classics is still better. You can try useful formation for example Mr Hough first patch tactic's formation(3-2-3-1-1) or Milan's 4-4-2 diamond formation or Bayern's 4-2-3-1 deep and 4-2-2-1-1. You can do it because you are the best tactician for this year.

It works good with strong teams. I don't advise that with mid/lesser sides though. Everything has been tested a lot :) And The Rock works in many different formations, but some require stronger teams :)

12 goals from corners in 22 games.

Best header = near post flick on (can get as many as 8 shots in a game)
2nd best = challenge keeper
3rd best = attack far post

As its a 3-6-1 these are usually the 3 centre backs. Corner taker right side/right foot, left side/left foot and best to have him as one of the lurk outsiders.

I took the original 361, converted to a TC tactic so I could set up the corners, then converted it back so MrLangvatn double check individual settings incase I missed something.

If using the corner settings that come with the Rock Classic on which positions should be the best headers placed? I am assuming the best one as Attack near post, but what about 2nd / 3rd best headers etc? And what about free kicks and throw-ins? I don't seem to be scoring too many goals from those.

I've been using the 2-5-3 in the TC style, downloaded the 433 TC on the OP, and moved the Full Backs to Wing Backs (keeps their instructions) and started a new save with Newcastle with a transfer update from LFC Marshall.

Here's how my first season ended:

As you can see, won the league with 2 games to spare.

May I add that I sold Cisse in January as he wasn't great at dribbling which I feel the strikers need.

My starting 11 is normally like this:

I've also got the F.A Cup Final next against Villa.

No OP, No Shouts - *** Man doing teamtalks apart from if he decides to ignore the players.

Essential to use the training and tactic deployment in Pre-Season as outline in the Original Post of this thread.

Got to be the best tactic I've used in this patch, hope my 2nd season goes well....

Nice one mate :) This would then add 10 ish more goals to the team in the test I guess, making it strong both offensively and defensively :)

Nice :) Not bad winning EPL first season playing Newcastle :)

Just won the F.A Cup 1-0 against Villa - the double in the first season with Newcastle, I mean come on - what an achievement!

@mike: I see that the DLP role got changed when you moved the fullbacks. It's a bug which happens sometimes. In the tactic, they are all DLP-support, but yours have changed to Defend on one of them. But it seems to be working well for u, so not sure if I would change it :)

It's a great tac. Using it myself too atm for all my saves :)

Thanks for this

Will try it later in a save

Mr L is this the one from the OP

Enjoying a pretty good season with Ourense, after being promoted to the Spanish Second Division. Weak team (media prediction 20th of 22th) but still have a couple of talented youngsters. I´ve found that with the Rock i´m not attacking very much at home and got some draws (away from home still working wonders) so i´ve changed it to 4-3-3 DDM and won easy the last two matches of the league scoring 4 goals in each. Now i face the LIGA BBVA, with Real Madrid, Barça and so. Would it be very risky to stick to 4-3-3 DDM as i´m a weak just promoted team and should i go back to the Rock?
