Mr Langvatn's Tactic Thread (Updated for 13.3.3)

hey mr l, ive just been promoted with monaco first season, im about to start pre season with them, it will be my first year in the top league, but im sure with a few signings (hopefully they give me alot of money :P) my squad is good enough for a top 3 finish (champions leauge spot). my first season i just used rock classic, and went unbeaten in the league, but bear in mind my team is easily the strongest in that league. its an awesome tactic, but i wouldn't mind a few more goals scored, would u advise using the 2-5-3 for games im stronger and rock classic for games im even or underdog?

Maybe you can use the 2-5-3 from page 288 with the cornerfix :)

Hello,

Just a little question about the 2-5-3 (sorry for my poor english) and the attributes of the midfildiers...one is the anchor man and the two others are classic midfielders?

And for the strikers>>2 inside forward and one complete forward?

Thank you

three DLP's, and two advanced forward+one complete forward

Fun start to the match :)

how's the 4-2-3-1 coming along??? I've got a Chelsea save going and I've been using rock classic and now your 2-5-3 although it is good I can't complain about that, I'm not getting the best out Oscar and Ericksson playing them as DM so really looking forward to you hopefully sorting a 4-2-3-1 masterclass :-)

If anyone asking for match preparation...

Arrange about 10 frendlies:

My trick is to start with easy matches to increase morale. Make sure, that you arrange friendlies with interval 2-3 days between each match until last 2-3 matches. Then i rest my team for 4-7 days, before i start matches against bigger opposition...familiar levels increase very fast, when i rest my team for more days.

Tactic is fluid at the start of the season, which everyone want to ;)

VERY IMPORTANT: DONT MAKE INDIVIDUAL TRAINING IN PRESEASON, JUST FOCUS ON TACTIC, GEL YOUR TEAM AS FAST AS POSSIBLE AND DONT BUYING TOO MUCH!

Mr Langvatn, with the new corner setup, should I put a left footed taker on right side corners and right footed on left sided corners (to curl it in, towards the goal) or vice-versa to curl it out?

I am still using good old the rock, but have not scored any goals from corners this season with the rock default set pieces, so I am going to try it with the new corners. Thanks!

This new corner setup would work with the rock? If so, could you upload a rock version with that setup?
Also, do you think that a 4-4-2 diamond ( DM -MR - ML -AM) would work on the current patch? Thanks in advance MR L.

It works with the Rock too, yeah. Will add the settings to all my tactics as soon as I have time :) Most formations work for top teams. 4-4-2 diamond is decent, but not good enough for lesser sides I think.

Not really sure, haven't set any corner takers in my test.

Ok.

So I assume the best header (striker in my case, Vidic in your ManU) should be as near post flick on? 2nd best is the Challenge Keeper. What about the rest? I can see that Nani is put on Attack Far Post despite not being a good heading player, so is it important to have a small finisher on far post or something?
