Mr Langvatn's Tactic Thread (Updated for 13.3.3)

4-2-3-1 not worth it as a smaller team then?

Struggling to find a tactic to suit Southampton's starting squad!

4-1-4-1 rock for hard games:

rodriguez
ramirez - cork - davis - lallana
schneiderlin
shaw - yoshida - fonte - clyne
boruc

2-5-3 for similar and easier games:

rodriguez - ramirez - lallana
shaw - cork - schneiderlin - davis - clyne
yoshida - fonte
boruc

you could get top 4 easily with that

I'll give it a go mate, will probs get the update so I can add Wanyama and Lovren to that.

I think its Time to fire up my bro's laptop and try the 4-2-3-1

What team are you guys using with the 4-2-3-1

how u go in Europe???

Away against the biggest dogs, use another tactic like rock classic or smth, doesn't really matter. All the counterattacking tactics over 50 points in my test works for that purpose. All games you are favoured to win, use the 4-2-3-1.

Hello everyone and thank you for your sublime tactics!
jeviens to test your new version 4-2-3-1 Stonewall Attack are my results:

I put 4 goal from a corner in the friendly match, I change Kompagny and Aguero will have a corner so it will more purpose.
I will post my results tomorrow night I'll make good progress by then

Quick question about classic rock, what should i do when i need to hold a result? change time wasting, change team mentality? and what about when i need to score a goal, what i did was change the wingers to AMR/AML? is that valid? thank you for your time

Before I start my 20th career. Would you suggest Arsenal as a good team for the 4231, the Rock classic, and the 3-6-1?

WOW!!! AMAZING!!! I tested the new tactic today "4-2-3-1 Stonewall Attack". Let me tell you, it reminds me the old good days of Arrigo Sacchhi tactic. See below the results so far:

In this match, i was losing at home by 4x1. In the half-time, i tried to motivate the players and see the final result:

I have a question about all of these tactics.Do any of them work with a base so you can change the formation but still keep the team playing the same way.Looking for a 4-1-2-1-2 formation or a 4-1-3-2 (narrow formation) but not sure which tactic is best to experiment with.

Thanks for 4-2-3-1 tactic. I will try definately. You gave up DMC. :) Maybe you can convert 4-2-3-1 to 4-2-3-1 deep two dmc's version.

Mr L

Just a suggestion maybe add a pic of the tactic formation to the op

Then I will have to keep bugging you to post a pic of formation

Most of my new tactics are in some way based on the Rock. So, that's where u should start I guess, if you wanna make something new out of it.

I never change anything in the tactic.

Maybe not the 4-2-3-1, that one requires a top notch team, but maybe the rock classic, the 3-6-1 and the 2-5-3?
