The thing I like about the tactic is that when you are favoured to win, you dominate the other team wildly in every match stat. The thing I don't like about it (because of the formation), is that you really have no chance to win over stronger opposition if playing away :P

Sacchi's 4-4-2 is probably a better overall tactic than this, because it works with more teams (because the formation is a much more stable one). But on the other hand, I have better ones for that. So maybe the best thing is to follow my recommendations on the front page. Start small, end big. The 4-2-3-1 really demands your team to be favourites, or it won't work.

That was my single goal with the 4-2-3-1. Score as much as possible :P (Hence the name of the tactic, one of the best offensive openings in Chess) Had a couple games like that myself. When you are favoured to win it scores A LOT. Thanks mate :)

The 4-2-3-1 Stonewall Attack tactic is AMAZING! Beat Tottenham 3-1 in the 2nd season with my QPR team. Thank you for all the work that you put! Used different tactics but none was as good as this one.
 
Absolutely loved the rock classic, brilliant if your a fan of your midfielders getting most of the goals! Have just switched the 2-5-3 Angels with my Rangers team in Division 1, well on my way to returning to the Prem and completing the Scottish Hero accomplishment! The Strikers definitely get more of the goals with this tactic which i prefer, another superb tactic!!
 
My next piece of business will be to change the corner settings in all the tactics, and re-upload them :P
 
I think you have now made a set of tactics that everyone can use in any situation, regardless of what team they are.

this was my first full season at Real as I country hop from year to year...using your 253:

I was just about to say this, it's a nice little tactical set and all tactics are effective in their own way and thoroughly tested in every situation.

For that screenshot above did you use the 253 the whole season? as i saw your earlier screenshot where you said you tested the 4231? Also what match prep and training were you using for both tactics.

(typical that i would reply to you first btw ahah, i always follow your advice on tactics lol :)

I have now changed the corner setup in all the top tactics and re-uploaded them. Enjoy :)
 
what a topic! really... so much tactics, so much fun.. Will start a PSV or Bilbao save. Using your 4231 for home games and the rock classic for away games :) Nice job m8
 
Having real mixed results with the 4-1-4-1 Rock currently. Playing as Fiorentina, seems to be more effectively away from home, so might try the stonewall attack at home unless Mr Langvatn you can suggest a better combination. Will also add the new corner versions to see if this helps. What kind of striker should I be looking for, as Jovetic is not effective at all.
 
also, with the 3 striker formations, i notice the wide strikers have the instruction to "hug touchline"

should you put left foot on left right foot on right, or invert them

and would the central striker need to be a pacey poacher or a more complete forward
 
you could do exactly the same 4-2-3-1 but normal version not classic?
And for that I am french for individual training to the French because I do not understand English I used a translator ^ ^
 
MR L do you think the filters for the rock will be useful for the Sicilian defence?

Just wanted to ask a few questions with regards to the Sicilian defense. I've been using it and been winning loads. Serie B with Bassano and the Italian Cup! (I switched to the rock and the 2-5-3 for some games though).

I found the Sicilian defense really vulnerable to long balls over the top though with a pacy striker. Perhaps my defenders are not fast enough.

From the team instructions, I see that it plays a high line with own half pressing, I would think that a high line should be follow with a high press?
