is gambit tactic suitable for non-top teams or should i stick to the rock classic? are in gambit both strikers complete forwards? thanks in advance!
After having success with swansea I started a new save with Hyde in conference league. Tipped for the drop however made the playoffs and got promoted. 2nd season League 2 tipped for the drop survived on goal difference 3rd season won League 2 when again being tipped for the drop. May I say that you need a good striker that will guarantee u the goals as its solid from the back and goals win you games! Brilliant tactic have to say, the best ive used in fm13.
anyone know of any premiership teams (preferably not the top 1s) that fit the new tactic?
Southampton have one of my favourite midfield's in the prem. Jack Cork, Schniederlin + O'Hara

Hi Mr L
Trying out the Gambit (new one) but having problems in defence - is there a way to perhaps combine the awesome defensive of Rock Classic with the beautioful football the Gambit plays??
The 3 CMs and 2 Full backs running UP seems like overkill for a balanced tactic, perhaps but I have no clue - you are the guru!!
Hi,
thx for You hard work , but i have one thing.
Why i do not see positions?I do not know what kind of players i should use on possition becouse i do not know what kind of possition they are playing.
so how goes the testing with the new tac mr l

Does the new Queens Gambit tactic give a little bit more possession than the Rock. I know that you say possession tactic don't give the best results, but winning games with possession of 45% or less all the time is a bit annoying.
I understand, it's just annoying watching highlights with the opposition having the ball most the time! Hopefully FM14 will allow for more tactics that work with decent possession.Nope, it's a counter-attacking one as well. Just look at other stats like shots, clear cut chances etc. Possession is a huge minus this patch. When my opposition has the ball, my team press them into losing it in dangerous positions, thus scoring more goals.
This is a thread about the tactic. Match prep and training have absolutely no effect on how good a tactic is. Match prep is used depending on what opponent you are facing and weather you want an extra edge in a certain area of your team to counter a specific strength or weakness in a team you are about to face, team and individual training again does not effect the tactic you are using, training improves players attributes and so if you have a player that is going to play as an attacking player but has poor attributes then train his attacking attributes, likewise if a player is poor defensively but you want him to play a defensive position then train his defensive attributes.
Seriously, there is nearly 4000 posts on this thread and half of them are about stuff that is either in the very first post or has nothing to do with the tactic.
Anyone wanting to know about match prep, training etc should go here, it is very interesting and full of the information you need. You should not be basing your training on a tactic, it is a different part of the game.

I would suggest MR L puts this link in the opening post so people don't have to keep asking and MR L doesn't have to repeat the same answer over and over.
What Training for the new formation?
