Seeing more goals with striker ticked as targetman and supply to feet (rock version)

Mr Langvatn, which one would you recommend for an underdog ? When I mean that, say somewhere in League 1 or championship(with low league expectations). Obviously I'm not going to win everything. But one that is good defensively and drills out results ? I'm hoping to start a long term save and take them all the way to the top.

Is the Rock the best in game tactic then? Like I said, I have a squad of 4 players and can start from scratch. I just want to know what tactic I should be signing players for. I am in Blue Square South. So right at the bottom of English Football. I have heard that Arrigo Sacchi's 4-4-2 is the best. I have heard others are the best. What is the best tactic?

4-1-4-1= take off one CM
4-4-2= take off the striker with the lowest mentality (I'm not in game so I don't remember which is which, just check yourself)

Hi,

what do you mean with the lowest mentality?? which criteria to check??

The best one for underdogs is without a doubt the 4-1-4-1 rock.

The mentality bar in the player settings. You know where you can set passing style, closing down, run with ball, forwards runs, marking, etc etc

The 4-1-4-1 rock is way better than Arrigo Sacchi in my experience. Don't get me wrong, Arrigo Sacchi's 4-4-2 is a decent tactic, but it's far from being among the top ones in this years FM. I've tested them all, and there are many other tactics from other tacticians that's better than Arrigo Sacchi's 4-4-2. If you are gonna start in blue square south, defo go with the 4-1-4-1 rock, as you will be an underdog all the way up to premier league.

wat do you raccomand for 4141 rock against better team i m going splashed

If I'm in Blue Square South and I'm going into a game and have the better team do I still use rock or do I use another tactic?

It's good enough anyway imo, but u can go more offensive with either the 4-1-3-2 rock or the 4-4-2 gung ho classic edition

4-1-3-2 rock is more dominating at home than the 4-1-4-1 imo. But it's too risky defensively to run it in away matches.

I have been using the 4-1-3-2 rock at home and the 4-1-4-1 rock away. Works very nice.

If you were still playing your Liverpool save how would you play your tactics? Like home, away, rivals?

No idea, have to try a new game first season then. Or u meant after several seasons with a top team?
