Hi Mr. Langvatn. I have tried your 4-1-4-1 rock, been struggling abit with Newcastle, but it isn't fully fluid yet, but I'm starting to Loose a bit of faith in this game, with the epic failures from defenders and GK, I mean not even non-League players makes those mistakes my defenders do. Refusing to head from crosses, no marking on set pieces, gk refusing to punch the ball despite being able to follow the ball the Whole way in from the cross (one step out and a fist, would have avoided a goal). It's a giant error that has been following me since FM 13 was installed... Are u encountering these fatal errors to?
 
@ tuffboy, are you a Benfica fan too? A save with Benfica is desirable in this terrible moment and all of us want to do better than Jorge Jesus.

Anyway, can you post your transfers mate? Just for curiosity :)
 
If winning 1-0 or equivalent coming into the last 20 mins of game would you change philosophy from 'overload' to 'defensive' with the rock?

No, and it wouldn't make a difference. All players mentality are set manually anyway.

Some times they do mistakes of course. Maybe your players has low concentration and decisions? I haven't had any big problems like you, but I focus on getting players with these stats. They do fewer mistakes then. And I think FM 13 is the best one so far in terms of stability.

You could try running my 4-4-2 Gung Ho Classic Edition at home maybe. Either that or the 4-1-2-2-1 IF Rock.
 
too bad you can only have 3 tactics trained, want all these tactics :P
 
Did you try Rosenborg with any of these tactics?
I am playing an online game with a friend, and he keeps beating me in the league. I have swapped tactic every season, but the games against him always make me lose the 1st place. I still have Strandberg, Berntsen, Selnæs, Svensson, Diskerud. I also have Finne. I am somewhat assuming that you know about these players ;)

Hehe yeah, I have a Rosenborg game where I've played like 15 seasons. But that was a long time ago, one of the early versions of FM13. Won CL 5 times in a row, beating barcelona 7-0 etc :) Haven't tried Rosenborg in this patch. Which tactic are you using?
 
I've tried Fanta 4-1-4-1, Modern Warfare and 3-1-5-1 Amen. They work well but I am having problems beating my friend's 4-3-2-1 with wingers.

I'm thinking about trying your 4-1-4-1 Rock next, since the players I have now mostly fit a more flat formation.

One thing I've tried to focus on more in FM13 is player stats, I always sign players with Stamina, Determination, Teamwork, Work Rate and build from there.

I'm sure it's made a difference
 
has anyone ever managed to get there tactics fluid during pre season in the first season?

It's hard the first season due to a short pre-season. Second season you can set up a lot more friendly matches.
 
Yeah bacause i managed to squeeze 12 friendlys in and still only like 50/70% fluid. Bought in an extra tactics coach too.
 
Hi Mr Langvatn, sorry for my bad english, in my carreer with the Hoffenheim i would use one of yout tactic, which is for you the best tactic for this squad? I used the 4-1-4-1 with 5 win 2 draw and 2 lost...
