It was thought Aston Villa man David Beckhma wa stheir first choice but realised that he wasnt going to leave at this moment in time, but they certainly have aquired a talented manager in Guardiola!

Aston Villa 5-2 Juventus (agg)

David Beckham's men showed their class over both legs as they dumped Juventus out of the Europa League for the second time in two seasons. Having taken a 2-1 lead into their 2nd home leg Villa were expected to take the win and progress, they truely delivered as they won 3-1 on the night with goals from Ashley Young, Gareth Barry and Fabian Delph. Juve did manage to pull one back on the 77th minutes but in truth they were no match for this impressive Aston Villa side. Villa now face French side Lyon who gave a great wealth of experience Europe, find out how Villa get on....reports coming soon!

Arsenal 2-1 Aston Villa

In a hard fought battle Villa now find themselves out of the FA Cup after being so close to reching the final, since David Beckham hastaken charge at Villa their record against Arsenal id poor only winning 2 in 10 games. With bith sides making chances it could of really gone either way, but Arshavin and Chamakh goals but Villa'd FA Cup dream to bed but fans favourite Gabby Agbonlahor pulled on back in inury time but it was just too late. One decision left Vills boss David Beckham furious as Ashley Young put the ball in the back of the net only for it to be flagged offside, replays show that the linesman mad a rash a wrong decision!

Aston Villa make history as they are crowned Premier League Champions

View attachment 99684

View attachment 99685

What a day for the fans, players and all associated with Aston Villa Football Club as they were crowned the new holders of the Premier League Title. Villa who were touted to finish aound 8th in the league this season defied all belief as David Beckham's men have performed above all expectations. In his 3rd season Beckham has masterminded a fabulous feat by winning the league, introducing an all British transfer policy seems to of paid off as Villa drop to David Beckham's feet. Even though Villa didnt play on the day they were crowned champions fans were flocking teh streets in Birmingham. Villa saw off a poor Stoke side in their Sunday lunchtime game coming out 6-0 winners knowing that if Liverpool failed to win in their Monday night match against Sunderland they would be the new champions. Villa will be presented with the trophy in their last game of the season when they play at home against Wigan. But the season is not over for Villa yet as they are still in contention to win the Europa League and face Lyon at the Semi Final stage, whatever the outcome it looks like a very bright future for David Beckham and Aston Villa!

Aston Villa 3-0 Lyon (agg)

What a season for Aston Villa this is turning out to be, not only have they picked up the Premier League title but they are now through to the Final of the Europa League after beating French side Lyon 3-0 on agg. The result never looked in doubt after Villa controled the match from start to finish. The only thing standing in the way of David Beckham's side from lifting the Europa League trophy is Chelsea who for the past 2 season have been in the Champions League Final, who will come out on top today only one place to find out!

This was certainly going to be one of the most important months for Aston Villa and their boss David Beckham. With games in 3 competitions what was the outcome going to be....but I think we know the answer to this already!

Aston Villa 1-0 Lyon. GOALS - Gabby Agbonlahor.

Aston Villa 6-0 Stoke. GOALS - Gabby Agbonlahor, Nathan Delfouneso, Ashley Young(3), Jack Rodwell.

Lyon 0-2 Aston Villa. GOALS - Miles Addison, Carlton Cole.

West Ham 1-4 Aston Villa. GOALS - Andreas Ivanschitz, Nathan Clyne, Carlton Cole(2), Gabby Agbonlahor.

Another great month for the club as they were crowned Premier League Champions for the first time in the clubs history, fans were overjoyed and could not express enough praise to th eman who brought them this major silverware David Beckham. Not only this but Villa have also progressed into the Europa League Final by beating Juventus and Lyon both very strong opponents and now face Chelsea over in Romania. The only sour taste for Aston Villa fans was the semi final FA Cup loss to Arsenal which on another day could of easily swung to a Villa win. WIth one fixture left in the League and that all important Final match Villa's season is still not quite over!

This was the day fans have been waiting for ever since Villa booked their place in the final when beating Lyon in the semi's. Villa are making history today as they make their first apperance in the final of this competition, but lets remember that this day is not just about Aston Villa as they face Chelsea in what we all expect to be an epic battle. Who will come out on top, will Villa make history today or will Chelsea's wealth of European experience bring them out on top!

With so much at stake both teams were looking for a positive start, oh and what a start it was as there was a goal scored on the 6th minute and yes you guessed it Villa's captain fantastic Miles Addison rose from an inswinging corner from Young to bury it in the back of the net, 1-0 to Villa. Chelsea were stunned and completly lost control of the game as the Villans midfield took over, then in 16th minute we had another goal and yes its man of the moment Carlton Cole who smashes it past Petr Cech to make it 2-0 as Villa looked as if they were going to cruise to victory. Half time came and went and Chelsea have coming out looking like a different team, Ancelotti bringing on two new faces in Ivanovic and young striker Nikon el Maestro. Oh no just 5 minutes into the second half and super sub Nikon el Maestro bangs it in for Chelsea to make it 2-1, is this the start of a Chelsea fight back. Time was ticking and Villa looked to play the game out leaving gabby on his own up front, last throw of the dice for Chelsea as Lampard bears down on goal his smashes it towards goal and WHAT a save from Villa's man between the sticks Joe Hart and that is it its over VILLA are the UEFA Europa League Champions! What a match what a day, are we seeing the start of a great generation for Aston Villa football club!

With the season all but rapped up Villa had just one game left in the league against Wigan where they will also be presented with the League Title, so the Villa players will want to go out with a bang. As you have already seen Villa also had the Europa League Final to contest with Chelsea and we all know what happened ther as we saw Villa win on the day 2-1!

View attachment 100086View attachment 100087

Aston Villa 4-1 Wigan. GOALS - Carlton Cole(3), Gabby Agbonlahor, Ben Watson.

Aston Villa 2-1 Chelsea. GOALS - Miles Addison, Carlton Cole, Nikon el Maestro.

What a great way to end the season at Villa Park with a 55,000 crowd waiting to watch their team and Villa truley delivered with a 4-1 win and seeing their main men in Cole and Agbonlahor pick up the goals a true Champions performance. Then to top it off tehy go on and win the Europa League in style against a very strng Chelsea side, what more could Villa and David Beckham of asked from their men.

Well thats another season over and as we have seen Beckham's Aston Villa have taken the Premiership by storm by snapping up the title and scoring over 100 goals in the process, then picked up the Europa League trophy in an epic final against Chelsea. But who else won silverware around Europe, see below for details!

Yet again we see Real Madrid pick up the Champions League Title, and create history by being the first team to win it in back to back seasons. Liverpool put last years FA Cup Final misery final behind them as they beat Arsenal on penalties to pick up this years cup, and this year we also see some new League winners with Marseille, FC Bayern, Roma picking up their first titles in 2 years. Over in Spain no one seems to be able to stop Real Madrid as they pick up yet another league title.
