Curtis Davies wants to leave Aston Villa in January transfer window

View attachment 98581

In a shock announcement this morning Aston Villa's central defender has expressed his desire to leave the club as he feels he has done all he can at the club. Davies has been a regualr for the past 2 seasons but this season with the arrival of Smalling and Addison now establishing himself Davies now finds himself warming up the bench. It is thought that Villa boss David Beckham has no desire to let Davies go but with strong interest from FC Bayern reports say if the price is right then we could of seen the last of Davies in an Aston Villa shirt.

Another busy transfer window is over and we have seen a fair amount of money being spent in this window. The two biggest transfer fees were seen in England and over in Italy where we saw Slovakia captain sign for Man United from Napoli for a reported 24M and Italian central midfielder Claudio Marchisio sign for Roma from Juventus for 16M. However the proposed move for Aston Villa centre back Curtis Davies to FC Bayern for 9M fell through as he failed to agree personal terms and is now reportedly happy to fight for his place at high flying Aston Villa.

Premier League holders Tottenham knocked out of FA Cup in 3rd round by Championship side Wolves

What a shock in today's round of FA Cup matches with Premier League Champions Tottenham Hotspur loose out to Wolves in their 3rd round replay. In the first match Spurs looked assured of victory until the 94th minute where we saw Bassong score past his own keeper, and in the replay Wolves were driven to victory by their home support with Stephen Hunt hitting the winner on 60 minutes. Harry Redknapp after the game refused to do an interview, obviously very unhappy with the result along with their poor form in the league as they are 15 points adrift from league leader ston Villa! So who will go all the way to Wembley and lift the FA Cup...only one place to find out stay tuned!

With a busy month ahead Villa had a lot to play for and are eager to carry on with their fine form and take it into the new year. With key Premier League games this month including games against Arsenal, Man CIty, Chelsea and Liverpool what points can Villa pick up how will Beckham men perform!

This was always going to be an important month for the club as it had some many important fixtures that would determine how Villa's season woulf form for the rest of the season. Well well well Villa certainly delivered as they gounbeaten for another month as the only point dropped were away at Blackburn meaning that Villa beat Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea and Liverpool. Now all the so called big clubs are taking Villa as a serious threat as they controlled all these games througout and never looked like loosing, as they now sit pretty at the top of the table with a 7 point lead of secod placed Liverpool. We also saw Villa come back from behind in their FA Cup 4th round tie away against Leeds to win 4-1, with Villa on fine form can anyone actually stop them?!

Aston Villa 9-2 Hapoel Tel-Aviv (agg)

Aston Villa have put their Champions League blues behind them as they thumped their Isralie opponents 9-2 on agg, as they booked their place in the 2nd round of the competition. Villa were on fire in both legs and from the moment the whislte blew they never looked like loosing, player of the tie had to be Gabby Agbonlahor who netted a hat trick in the first leg. Villa will now face Portugese side FC Porto, this will certailnt pose a different threat and will be a tough game for Villa, find out here how they get on!

With Villa still looking fresh and hungry for some success hopes were high from the fans and clubs alike. With 8 games this month covering 3 different competitions there was certainly a lot to go out and play for, but could Beckham's men keep this fine form up.

H. Tel-Aviv 2-6 Aston Villa. GOALS - Juan Carlos La Rosa, Beni Cohen, Gabby Agbonlahor(3), Fabian Delph, Ashley Young, Nathan Delfouneso.

Aston Villa 3-0 H. Tel-Aviv. GOALS - Junior Stanislas(2), Nathan Delfouneso.

Aston Villa 4-0 Fulham. GOALS - Fabian Delph, Ashley Young, Gabby Agbonlahor(2).

Fabulous absolutly fabulous, Aston Villa's form just keeps going on and on and on with some great performance and a huge amount of goals for Villa hands to view things could'nt of gone much better, apart from the stalemate against London side Chelsea which on the day Villa could of easily taken all 3 points. Villa still see themselves flying high in the league, which many pundits still cannot believe and they are into the next round of the FA Cup and Europa League. Villa fans are still on a high and the atmosphere surrinding the club is unbelievable and this is solely down the the main man at Aston Villa, David Beckham! Come on Villa keep it up......

Aston Villa 2-1 FC Porto (agg)

Aston Villa's european journey this season is not over yet as they progressed into the Quarter Final stage after a hard tie against FC Porto saw them march on. Villa took a 1-0 lead back to Villa Park but only to let an early goal in which Joe Hart had no chance in saving. From that point onwards it could of gine either way, but oh no Villa's fans favourite Carlton Cole snached it in Extra Time for Villa with some of the fans running onto the pitch to celebrate. Villa now through to the Quarters will face Italian side Juventus who they knocked out of this competition last season, can Villa go one step furthure and get to the semi's!

Man United sack Aguirre but who will be the next man in charge at Old Trafford

View attachment 99456

View attachment 99457

Only 9 months into his job and Javier Aguirre has been sacked by the Man United board, they fond themselves out of the League and FA Cup, way off in the title race as they currently lie in 7th place so they are now clinging onto Champions League hopes as they are in the Quarter Final's with a tie against local rivals Man City. But who will be the next man in charge at United reports coming out of Old Trafford are saying the Board want Villa boss David Beckham but believe he has no desire to leave Villa so their attentions may turn to Barcelona man Josep Guardiola!

The games are certainlt coming thick and fast for Beckhma's men as they have another 7 fixtures to contend with this month. A crucial FA Cup tie against Man City away from home, plus tough away fixtures in the league against Sunderland and Bolton so can Villa keep top spot and push on in the cup!

Man City 0-1 Aston Villa. GOALS - Carlton Cole.

FC Porto 0-1 Aston Villa. GOALS - Nathan Delfouneso.

Sunderland 1-1 Aston Villa. GOALS - Hassan Yebda, Gabby Agbonlahor.

Aston Villa 1-1 FC Porto (aet). GOALS - Carlton Cole, Luis Alberto.

Aston Villa 1-0 Tottenham. GOALS - Ashley Young.

Bolton 1-1 Aston Villa. GOALS - Sean Scannell, Carlton Cole.

Juventus 1-2 Aston Villa. GOALS - Diego, Nathan Delfouneso, Fabian Delph.

Well there it is another month has been and gone and Villa fans still have a lot to cheer about. Through to the Semi Finals of the FA Cup after an impressive display at City, we also saw Villa rise to see off FC Porto in extra time which was a tense affair. Not only that but we also saw Villa take advantage in the Europa League first leg of the Quarter Final tie against Juventus as they put a fine performce in to win 2-1 on the night. Still sitting pretty at the top of the table Villa fans are getting closer to an unbelieveable League title win, even after 2 draws away from home Villa still have a big chance of proving the pundits wrong and picking up the league title. Only one place to find out what happens.....stay tuned!
