I've just read that and that was unexpected. The way clubs are failing at the moment right now, I'd rather that Everton were taken over in the future, by people with the clubs best interests and fans interests at heart. When I look what happened to Pompey, it makes me nervous. Tottenham maybe. Newcastle - well the fans would probably welcome them with open arms because Ashley has been a complete disaster for the club. But if they did take over, how much do they really know about football? Remains to be seen if it happensstupid choice by mike ashley, why appoint him when he was sacked by southampton. Could be another relegation on the cards
EDIT - newcastle fans are probably praying this is true although it is a goal.com exclusive story.

In the real world, this would never have happened, Pardew shouldn't have been sacked by So'ton, and Hughton shouldn't have been sacked by Newcastle. I mean seriously, Pardew is an awful manager, wonder why say no to Martin Jol?
Im not one to judge a book by its cover but....
Im sorry pardew, i would have a hard time, as many fans would, accepting you as our manager. Its not that pardew is not a nice bloke, im sure he is a nice bloke but many of us supporters were happy with hughton, and when he got sacked, expected a big name signing, even the players expected that, i mean why cause so much upheavel if its not worth it?! Why not just stick to what we had with CH?!
I wanted O'Neil or Jol not you mr pardew, so do not expect many hands wanting to shake your hand, but, its not personal to you![]()
Why???
Summed it up nicely there, I don't see how Pardew is an improvment on Hughton.
