A good few months meant we stay top of the table. Here is what happened...
Premier Division
Birmingham 1-5 Newcastle (Gago, Delfouneso, Djalo x2, Taylor)
A fantastic win over Birmingham who are struggling in the league. Gago scored an incredible strike to give us the lead and Delfouneso gave us the lead soon after. Djalo scored a placed shot and Taylor scored a header. Djalo rounded off the lead with a powerful strike.
Newcastle 1-1 Blackburn (Djalo)
A poor performance meant we couldn't pick up all three points. Diouf gave them a first half lead but Djalo spared our blushes late on with a nice placed finish.
Sunderland 2-2 Newcastle (Delfouneso, Djalo)
Sunderland were 2-0 up until 87 minutes through Jones and Murphy. But, in the 87th minute Delfouneso scored a typical placed strike. It took until the 95th minute until Djalo whacked a 35 yard screamer into the top corner. The fans went mad but we haven't won in 2 games now.
Newcastle 3-0 Aston Villa (Delfouneso, Hanke, Djalo)
A fantastic win over an in form Villa put us back on the top of the table again. Delfouneso gave us the lead early on with a placed finish. Hanke scored his first for the club with a nice header at the end of the first half. Djalo rounded off the win late on with a typical placed finish.
Man City 3-0 Newcastle
Another Man City game to forget. Adebayor got a brace and Tevez added another. Not much to say apart from that.
Newcastle 2-1 Fulham (Dindane, Djalo)
A good win against a tough Fulham side. Dindane scored his first league goal for the club but Andy Johnson equalised with a screamer on the stroke of half time. But Djalo was there with his typical placed finish to grab 3 priceless points!
Everton 1-1 Newcastle (Hanke)
A good result against an Everton side who are always tough to beat. Hanke gave us an early lead with a volley. Saha ended our chances of 3 points with a nice run and goal in the 82nd minute. Still proud of the result and glad of the point.
Newcastle 3-0 Burnley (Delfouneso, Hanke, Djalo)
An easy win over Burnley put us back on winning form. Delfouneso gave us his usual early opener. Not much happened until the 60th minute when Hanke scored a decent header. Djalo rounded off the win late on to carry on his goalscoring record!
Newcastle 3-1 Tottenham (Djalo x2, Carroll)
A great win against a Tottenham side looking to win the league this year. Djalo scored 2 goals in quick succession on around 30 minutes. Carroll scored his first league goal of the season with a great header. Crouch grabbed a consolation late on but it was not enough and we put distance between ourselves and Spurs.
Hull 0-2 Newcastle (Djalo x2)
A simple win over Hull gave us our third win in a row. Djalo scored both goals, both placed, late on and it was the least we deserved. We dominated the match from the start and Hull looked disappointing. Good win.
Newcastle 4-0 Stoke (Delfouneso, Dindane x2, Djalo)
Delfouneso gave us an early lead which seemed to put Stoke's head's down. Dindane made it two on the stroke of half time. Dindane made it three straight from the kick off and now looking to claim his first team place. Djalo scored a fine strike late on to humiliate a dreadful Stoke side!

Player of the Month(s)
Yannick Djalo wins it again scoring an amazing 18 goals in 22 starts including 16 in the Premier League. He also grabbed 5 assists and 5 Man of the Match performances picking up and average rating of 7.44 along the way. He looks like he could be the star of the future and it wouldn't surprise me if the big 4 come sniffing around.
Summary
A great couple of months and we are top of the table by 5 points! I never expected us to be doing so well but we will have to do incredibly well to hold this top spot. I am afraid that if we do win it this season we might not be good enough to do it again. But, January should be a very interesting month for transfers with plenty of big names being linked to Newcastle. Keep following!
