brilliant story mate you have even inspired me to start a newcaslte save lol and i knwo this is off topic but won the carling cup first season on pens lol i dunno how i done it soo lucky got dominated in the final lol well anyway keep it up mate :)

FA Cup Sixth Round - Saturday 6th March 2010​

Today see's high flying Newcastle United taking on Chelsea who are top of the Premier League. Sky have offered bets of 2000-1 for Newcastle winning. Both teams top their respective leagues but with Newcastle being 20 places lower. Here are the teams who will line up at St. James Park today:

An astonishing game in which we never looked like losing. My best ever result and we go through to the Semi Final's of the Cup!!! Best you legend!

Nice result....I got them in the cup, they beat my 4-2. As for Leon Best, he cant hit a barn door for me.

Would be better if you made your own tactic, I know your good at them because your Birmingham one in our joint story was very good. :)

Well, the season is over. Want to know what happened. This is the only way to find out!

Newcastle 5-2 Barnsley (Tafer x2, Nolan, Taylor, Lovenkrands)
Great game with Tafer continuing his fine form despite having 10 mean after Coloccini sent off. Nolan then scored after Tafer's brace. Taylor scored a header and Lovenkrands rounded off the win with a placed shot.

Middlesbrough 1-2 Newcastle (Carroll, Best)
Another top win against our rivals! They had the lead up until the 80th minute until Carroll scored an amazing 25 yarder. Best then scored a dramatic winner with a great header!

Bristol City 0-2 Newcastle (Taylor, Coloccini)
A great game for the centre backs, both scoring in a simple win. Taylor scored from a corner early on and Coloccini scored soon after so we recorded an easy win in the end.

Doncaster 0-3 Newcastle (Best, Djalo x2)
Djalo was back with a bang after our third away game in a row. Best gave us the lead with a usual header and Djalo scored before half time. He rounded off the win late on with a superb top corner strike!

Newcastle 6-1 Nottingham Forest (Djalo x3, Lovenkrands, Tafer, Taylor)
An amazing win against promotion rivals Forest. Djalo was in superb form again! Djalo scored twice early on before Lovenkrands gave us the lead. Tafer scored soon after and Taylor scored a header to make it 5-0 at half time. They scored through Blackstock but Djalo scored an emotional late winner to round off a thrilling hat-trick!

Swansea 1-1 Newcastle (Djalo)
A disappointing draw against a very determined and gritty Swansea. Djalo gave us a late lead but Coloccini gave away a penalty late on which meant we had to settle for a point. It was the least Swansea deserved.

Peterborough 0-3 Newcastle (Carroll x2, Coloccini)
Carroll scored a superb brace as we recorded a simple win over struggling Peterborough. Carroll scored 2 long range strikes quickly after half time and Coloccini scored a shot from a corner which rattled the post before going in!

Newcastle 3-2 Sheffield United (Williamson, Simpson, Djalo)
An amazing win over Sheffield United despite being down to nine men! Taylor and Coloccini were both sent off after just 20 minutes but Williamson still put us ahead from a corner. Evans scored a brace to put them 2-1 up but Simpson hit back with a superb 30 yard strike. Djalo had to be the scorer against the only team to beat us so far and he won the game with a placed shot. Win of the season?

Newcastle 3-6 Man City (Tafer x3) FA Cup Semi Final
Despite holding Man City to 2-2 they ripped us apart in extra time through a brace from De Jong and Tevez. Tafer did score a hat-trick which made the score line more respectable. Good performance though!

Newcastle 2-1 Scunthorpe (Djalo x2)
Not a convincing performance but it was good to bounce back from defeat. Djalo scored two early goals before Hayes scored a consolation. It was a very dull game for 60 minutes but we held on.

Plymouth 1-5 Newcastle (Ameobi, Djalo x2, Tafer, Larrieu OG)
A great win over Plymouth secured our 1st place in the Championship! Ameobi playing his first game since December gave us the lead but they equalised just before the break. We came out a different side as Djalo and Tafer scored two quick goals before Larrieu fumbled into his own net. Djalo rounded off the scoring with a placed finish.

Newcastle 1-2 Blackpool (Guthrie)
A dreadful performance meant our second loss in the Championship this season. Guthrie gave us the lead but they equalised soon after. Bouazza scored a last minute winner to keep Blackpool up. Shocking.

Newcastle 4-1 Ipswich (Djalo, Taylor, Tafer x2)
A great bounce back win despite being down to ten men. Djalo gave us an early lead before Smith was sent off. Taylor still made it 2-0 but they scored just before the break. Tafer then bagged a superb double to round off a great win for our last home game of the season!

Q.P.R. 1-3 Newcastle (Taylor, Tafer x2)
Taylor gave us an early lead through a header but they equalised on 40 minutes. Tafer then came on and bagged another double as we secured 120 points in the league! A great way to end the season.
