Occupy movements.

It's at the point now where I'm impervious to his vile insults, that leave me a swirling couldron of emotion turmoil :(

Guns....and tanks? Wth?! That's something that i genuinely do not want to even think of.....good god :S

To give it some context, here's the quote from the discussion:

Lloyd the Socialist said:
Uhhhhh, the whole banking and financial system is a dictatorship in itself, people have NO say in how their money is handled. Also, we are seeing more and more acts of police brutality and state repression as the movement takes hold. If you think that the state won't use guns and tanks against a revolutionary cause, you are very much mistaken.

...yeah. The stupidity speaks for itself. Oh Lloyd...

Godcubed's friend started talking about guns and tanks. At that point i wanted to slap him. Occupying St Pauls gets you on the news but does **** all. The 6 people camping in Cardiff castle will achieve nothing but a cold, and possible a mugging. If people really hate banks, take your money out.

Nick, you are rarely nice to anyone. But you stayed on the phone to your sister. I'll give you that. Also you havent killed Giulia. That counts for something

A whole 6 people are occupying Cardiff? Revolution be afoot.

Wow, what an angel.

Where were these protests when times were good? Capitalism is fine when it's giving you what you want, but as soon as it stops periodically, it's a failed system? Sigh. And people like to blame the banks, and yes they were idiotic, but the point of people taking out loans that they know they can't afford to pay back is equally idiotic, and is severely overlooked. I wonder how many of the occupiers took out a loan for a new car just because they could, and now blame the recession that they can't pay it back, when they couldn't anyway.

Yeah, that's more or less the gist of what we said.

:( So harsh. I bought her some chocolate coins! Also I will likely be subsidising her food for the next month, sigh. Italians, never have their money affairs in order...

As bad as the Greeks though?

'People have NO say in how their money is handled'. I forgot that we forced people to put their money in bank accounts, d'oh.

Did you see Joss' friend Max the socialist rage at me for being sarcastic? XD

They're trying their hardest to be as bad as the Greeks, to be fair. It's a monumental challenge though, almost as difficult as Everton winning a game.

Think I shall unlike that now after noticing the savage last part of the sentence. Truth hurts

Occupy Cardiff have a poll up asking if people are going to be camping out there. Four have said yes. Out of 18 who took the poll. Lal.

Wow, what an angel.

I have promised to buy Mike drinks too, he's so mean. :(

Exactly what I said.

On Twitter? Think so.

Where's my drinks? And invite Ajt, he'll have some 100 year old port to crack open.

Come to Cardiff on the 3rd December and I'll buy you whatever you want. ;) Would invite ajt but I don't think the home allows him to travel over 50 miles.

I don't have a home....they're all being closed down by the government :'(. Dirty Tory bastards!!!!!!

I'm all for revolution, change and opposing capitalism, but the hypocrisy on these 'movements' borders on the ironic. Armchair revolutionaries armed with iPods won't be bringing much of a change, if you ask me.

Come to London, you think I can afford a train to Cardiff, while I have London prices destroying my bank account?

The home as in nursing home, or the wife that has him whipped to within an inch of his life?

Been a brutal night for Ajt. At least he has the amusement of Barry falling over from dizziness while the Spanish play tiki-taka around him to look forward to.

Don't remind me-good god what was Fab thinking. Should be entertaining to watch though lol

Sigh, your choice to go to a London Uni. We'll have a round of tequila dedicated to you and your impending death by stab wound. ;)

I like my uni, though. :( It's only around 15mins away from St.Paul's too, might go down and have a looksie. Maybe I'll meet the communists who tried to get me into their society at freshers' fair. <3

Does anyone know how "Government-owned banks collapse" lead to "Government can't balance their books," which then lead to "This is capitalism's fault?"

I'm genuinely interested in if any resident commiesexuals can explain this.

Also, the day Berlusconi goes will be a sad day indeed! I've still got his Economist issue lying on my desk at uni -

Leave Burlusconi alone! He's my hero! :'(

I should mention it was to be plastic bullets not rubber. Though rubber bullets would be my preference.
