Before
Palermo were favourites going into the match, but they last performance was less then impressive, and Fiorentina had a brilliant chance to ****** the win today.

After
It was a very even game and the final score is a fair result for both teams. Hernadez came on to replace the injured Lukaku, and scored 2 goals to stake his claim for a permanent 1st team place.
Palermo looked as if they would ****** the result, but Babacar scored on the 88th minute to make it 2-2. The tie is well balanced for the second leg .

January Transfer News

scheda.jpg

Cesar Bovo
Tottenham initially declared interest in Palermo's central defender, but Palermo brushed the rumour aside. How ever, Tottenham made a €10 Million bid and Palermo decided to test their resolve, indicating they would sell for €15 Million. Tottenham came straight back with €16 Million, so Palermo cashed in. Bovo was sad at leaving Palermo, but was also happy to be playing for Tottenham

Benjamin Jung

Alexis Sanchez
After Palermo's 2-1 win at Udinese, Sanchez declared to Mr Drezzy that he would love to play under him. In the final hours of the transfer window, Palermo had a €16 Million bid accepted by Udinese. Sanchez was delighted to join his new team

Deals that didn't make it

Khouma Babacar: Fiorentina ----> Palermo: A deal and contract was agreed, but the F.A didn't complete the paper work quick enough so the deal was cancelled. Look for this deal to go through in the summer.

Mario Gotze: Borussia Dortmund ----> Palermo: After long negotiations, the two clubs couldn't agree a free or a payment structure

Benedikt Howedes" Schalke ----> Palermo: Palermo felt that Schalke rated the player too highly, and that their asking price of €10 Million was unrealistic

Karim Laribi: Palermo ----> Verona: Verona left it too late in the transfer window, but look for the deal to happen in the summer

Davide Testa: Palermo ----> Nocerina : Again, Nocerina left it too late, but again, the deal should go ahead in the summer

Sakho (12), Henrique (22), Hernandez (38)

Before
Sanchez was going to make his debut for Palermo today, and the fans looked forward to it.

After
What a first half. It was back and forth stuff, with Sampdoria taking the lead in the first minute. But Palermo were soon on level terms when Sanchez crossed and Sakho was on the end of it, to head the ball into the net. But 1 minute later, Sampdoria reclaimed their lead, thanks to a fine team move. 2-1.
On 22 minutes, Sanchez played Henrique through and he took Palermo back to level terms. And then, on 38, Sanchez completed his hat trick of assists with a looping ball played directly to Hernadez's feet, who blasted the ball in the net. 3-2 Palermo.
The second half started off like the first but Reto Ziegler was sent off on 51 minutes, which essentially killed the game as Sampdoria then struggled to keep Palermo at bay. Palermo hit the bar, with Sanchez missing a couple of chances too. The game finished 3-2 to the undefeated Palermo

Before
Palermo were the last team to play on the weekend, and they looked to extend the gap at the top..

After
When Henrique scored in the 2nd minute, every one knew it would be Palermo's night. Chievo didn't bring anything, even though Palermo were just average tonight. The only bad thing to come out of the game was Henrique injuring himself.

Mr Drezzy hits out at Fiorentina

corner-dumbass.jpg

Mr Drezzy has today hit out at Fiorentina Manager Sinisa Mihajlovic after he claimed that Palermo had no chance of winning the league.
Mr Drezzy asked if he was "******* Stupid" as Palermo were 18 points clear at the top of the table.
Mr Drezzy added that maybe Palermo didn't have a chance in Mihajlovic's Championship Manager game, which Mr Drezzy said was **** and a poor excuse for a game. Mr Drezzy went on to say that Mihajlovic needs to wake up and realise that he was a ****.
Mr Drezzy could face a fine from the Italian F.A after he strong words

Before
Fiorentina had given a good account of them selves in the Coppa Italia, and were a big threat to Palermo's undefeated streak.

After
This was an even game up until Cassani got himself sent off on 30 minutes. What came next was tactical brilliance on behalf of Mr Drezzy. Even though they were a man down, they made Fiorentina work and looked the better side.
Llorente was the sole striker and Fiorentina put 3 men on him during a corner kick, allowing Goian to sneak in and get a free header, giving Palermo the lead on 42 minutes.
In the second half, Llorente shook off two defenders to give Palermo a 2 goal lead and then ilicic, who hadn't started a game for months, tapped in from close range on 65 minutes. Fiorentina were stunned as Palermo ran out 3-0 winners .

Before
This was it, Palermo were in the game of their lives against the awesome Real Madrid.

After
This was an amazing game, words could not describe it. The entire game, from start to finish, was full of action, there was no lull in the game, with both teams scoring 6 goals. This game will go down in history, and leaves every one hungry for the 2nd leg in 2 weeks time

I do apologise, i done a massive write up the the Madrid game, but the computer froze.....so i lost it all. could not be bothered to do it all again, lol...Any one know how to add polls?

Before
Roma were in need of a result today, to keep up with Inter Milan..

After
Roma were very disappointing today but defended well. When Llorente headed Palermo ahead on 38 minutes, Roma didn't attack. They were negative and in the second half, Llorente added his 2nd on 73 minutes, with a sublime left footer. Lukaku wrapped up the points with a point blank shot on 88 minutes, 3-0 to Palermo. Roma did manage to score on 90 minutes, to give us a final score of 3-1 to Palermo

Before
Inter Milan wanted to avenge their title loss last season, which they lost just by 1 goal. It would be sweet revenge if they could also break Palermo's winning streak.

After
This was a very negative game, with both sides happy to defend, Llorente made Inter pay for some sloppy defending on 47 minutes. If Eto'o hadn't been taken off injured, then the Inter attack may have been alot better but they only showed signs of life when Balzaretti was sent off on 86 minutes. But Palermo managed to hang on and win 1-0

Yer right last minute and everything! :( but a draw is impressive against Madrid! :D

Still unbeaten and looking good to win a couple of trophies to go with the league. Well done mate.

Before
Out of all the game to come, Mr Drezzy and Palermo didn't want to give Cagliari the satisfaction of ending their unbeaten run .

After
It wasn't a very good game, but a Header from Galeano in the first half and a Lukaku 20 yarder in the second half were enough to give a slow Palermo the 2-0 win today. Cagliari didn't really try their hardest either

Before
This was a big game, and every one was looking forward to it, especially after the 6-6 draw in the 2nd leg..

After
Palermo set out to defend in the first half, and it was a huge mistake, as Kaka took a chance shot in the first minute, and it ended up in the net. Then Ramos headed in a Ronaldo corner to put Real Madrid 2-0 up. Then Higuain added to Palermo's misery, scoring a brilliant 30 yard effort on 20 minutes. Palermo had nothing to lose and changed back to their attacking football, and within five minutes Llorente had headed in on 25 minutes to give Palermo some hope.
It was 3-1 to Madrid at the break but on 50 minutes Llorente scored a right footed thunder bolt to make it 3-2. Things got worse for Madrid when Kroos, their playmaker, was stretchered off. Piatti brought the tie level again with a neat 20 yard shot. Real Madrid where paying for their ignorance in thinking they were already through.
The match went back into Madrid favour but Henrqiue made it 4-3 on the night on a superb counter attack. Real Madrid needed 2 goals, and were constantly attacking, and Piatti made them pay, breaking down the right, one on one with the keeper and he scored. 5-3, Palermo were through. And then, right at the death, Llorente completed his hat trick with another trademark header. Palermo are through, 12 - 9 on aggregate .
