Before​

Mr Drezzy changed the team around again, dropping 6 players who had worked so hard in Moscow.

After​

Palermo played very well today, but so did a struggling Bologna. Gimenez was guilty of missing many easy chances, and in the end, Bologna paid for his costly errors. Lukaku scored again to put Palermo ahead, and before half time, Miccoli limped of injured, which was followed by a Gimenez goal, taking advantage of a Bovo mistake.
In the second half, Pable Piatti came on as a substitute and scored with his second touch, tapping home from close range.
Then wonderkid Kadlec put the game beyond Bologna, scoring a nice 12 yard shot. Miguel Britos was then given his marching orders for a nasty elbow, Bologna were down to 10 men. Finally, deep into stoppage time, Liverani scored a rare goal, volleying in from 5 yards out after a Piatti cross. Palermo win 4-1. Palermo close the gap at the top to just 2 points

Chelsea announce new manager

Chelsea have today announced that their new manager will be Quique Flores, who left Atletico Madrid to take up the position.
Many are speculating that Flores was the cheapest option, with every other candidate into long term contract, Flores was coming to the end of his, and Chelsea didn't have to pay much compensation​

Having won the first leg 6-0, Mr Drezzy changed the entire team, apart from Hernandez who remained in the team.

After​

CSKA Moscow threw men forward from the start, scoring the first goal, but they left them selves open at the back and a make shift Palermo team made them pay for it. The game finished 3-3 on the night, with Palermo winning 9-3 on aggregate.

UEFA Europa Leageu Round up and Draw

It was a thrilling stage in the Europa League this season, as Manchester City trounced Trabzonspor 9-1 on aggregate, with a stunning 5-0 away win.
Fenerbahce done well to get a 0-0 draw in France against Lyonnais, but a 2-2 draw in Turkey saw Lyonnais go through on away goals. 2-2 the aggregate score.
Palermo are through to the next round after a stunning 6-0 victory in Moscow, dumping CSKA Moscow out 9-3 on aggregate.
Atletico Madrid eased past Bayer Leverkusen, winning 1-0 in Germany and 2-0 at home.
In the all french tie, Lille struggled past Monpellier 2-1 on aggregate, winning 1-0 at home.
Tottenham put 5 goals past Aris over two legs, with out reply. Tottenham march through to the next round
AJ Auxerre and Juventus drew 1-1 in both ties, with Juventus going through on penalties.
And finally, after losing 2-1 in Turkey, Beskiktas beat Rubin 3-1 in Russia, to go through 4-3 on aggregate.

Before​

Palermo had just been drawn against Juventus in Europe, but both teams couldn't think about this, as both teams were 2nd and 3rd.

After​

What a game, and how fitting that it was in front of Palermo's first sell out crowd of the season. It was back and forth with Laquinta scoring the only goal of the half on 17 minutes.
Lukaku was brought on at half time, and he scored Palermo's equaliser on 55 minutes with a powerful header, but 4 minutes later, Juventus were back in the lead, courtesy of a stunning Quagliarella strike.
on 70 minutes, Piatti had the ball in the net, but it was rightly ruled out for offside. But 4 minutes later, Lukaku headed Palermo back to level terms. 2-2.
Then, on 89 minutes, Cassani was taken off injured, with Galeano replacing him. Hernandez was taken off and replaced with Kadlec. Both teams looked to settle for the draw but a brilliant through ball by Galeano went straight to Kadlec, who headed past a diving Buffon. Palermo scrape the win, 3-2. Inter were fortunate to grab a draw against Udinese, the game finished 1-1. Palermo leap frog them into 1st place, on goal difference

Before
Brescia were struggling in Serie A this season, and with Palermo holding a tight lead at the top, they knew they couldn't afford any slip ups.

After​

The game wasn't much to talk about, both teams lacked Urgency. Brescia were terrible in front of goal, and if it wasn't for the on fire Lukaku, Palermo could have well found them selves on the losing end, but Lukaku scored a fine hat trick to keep Palermo at the top

Before​

Palermo had beaten Juventus twice in their last 2 games, and confidence was high.

After​

Juventus will be wondering how they didn't win this game. Palermo just didn't show up so when Gilardina scored for Palermo, every one was surprised. But on 67 minutes, Matri scored the vital away goal to level the scores. Juventus kept on pushing but couldn't find the net again, Palermo lucky that the game finished 1-1

Before​

After the poor performance in the week against Juventus, Palermo needed to pick them selves up.

After​

Palermo were off to a flying start, with Kadlec scoring on 12 minutes. Parma did manage to pull one back but Lukaku restored the lead just a few minutes later with a brilliant diving header.
But Palermo struggled in the second half, Parma were not able to take their chances and Palermo scraped the win. On a sour note, Lukaku was taken of injured on 70 minutes, and he could miss a the next few games

After Lukaku was taken off injured in Palermo's league victory against Parma, early indications suggest that the inform striker could face up to 6 weeks out. It is seen as a huge blow for Palermo's title hopes​

Before​

Palermo had some crucial games ahead of them, so Mr Drezzy dropped most of the first team, giving his back up players a chance to shine against Spal.

After​

Spal matched Palermo today, but it was Palermo who took the lead with Kadlec scoring a thunderbolt, from 25 yards out. But Spal kept their heads high and equalised on 27 minutes, Fofana tapping into an empty net.
But before the half finished, Camara volleyed home to give Palermo the lead again.
Palermo missed dozens of chances in the second half, and they were made to pay as Spal equalised when Kante scored a free kick from the edge of the area. But the game wasn't over, as Spal counter attacked deep into injury time, with Fofana stunning the home crowd and scoring. Spal win 3-2

After losing to Spal in the cup, Palermo needed to pick them selves back up and keep the pressure on Inter in the league

After​

Before Palermo scored, they had hit the wood work 3 times. But that wasn't a sign as things to come as Palermo took a good 3-1 lead into the break. Palermo looked good again in the second half, and won the game 4-2, Sampdoria were simply out played

Palermo were up against the wall today, and needed to score at least 1 goal to cancel out Juventus's away goal.

After​

Juventus will be kicking them selves, because they missed a variety of good chances today, whilst Palermo took all of theirs. Palermo go through to the next round, winning 4-1 on the night. Shock of the round

UEFA Europa League Round Up

Atletico faced Olympique Lyonnais and in the first leg they dominated Lyonnais and won 4-0. Lyonnais won in Madrid, 3-1, but it wasn't enough, Atletico go through 5-3 on aggregate.
Palermo shocked pundits in their game with Juventus. Having drawn 1-1 at home with Juve, Palermo looked certains to drop out but some how they managed a great 4-1 win in Turin, winning 5-2 on aggregate.
Lille held Tottenham to a draw at white hart lane but found them selves on the wrong end of a 4-0 defeat in the second leg, Tottenham dominating in France
And Manchester City eased through to the Semi finals after beating Besiktas 5-1 in Turkey, and 5-0 in Manchester.

Palermo were playing before Inter today and knew they needed to play well against a Udinese side pushing for Champions League Football.

After​

Palermo just didn't show up. In the first 10 minutes they conceded 2 goals. A Perfect Udinese went on to win 5-0, a shocking result for Palermo. The only positive to come out of the day was A.C Milans 1-0 victory against Inter Milan

Palermo believed they could beat a very good Atletico Madrid side today

After​

Palermo got off to a great start, taking a 2 goal lead within 25 minutes. But for some reason, they collapsed and Atletico Madrid ran the game from that point. Atletico should have won the game but they have 2 important away goals.

Mr Drezzy was going to throw caution into the air and risk it all tonight. Atletico Madrid out played Palermo in the last match, so Mr Drezzy made a drastic change to his tactics.

After​

Mr Drezzy's risks paid off, as they contained Atletico very well, who had obviously planned to counter Palermo's tactics from the first leg. Miccoli scored two goals in the space of 9 minutes, giving Palermo a great chance to go through. From then on, Palermo sat back and Atletico Madrid piled on the pressure, causing Sirigu to drop the ball into his own net. But Palermo held on and went through to the final.
