We got some good CB's with Bova and Galeano....and our keeper is pretty good, but i just dont think he can cut it....Might see if i can get a new keeper.....trouble is, I've got no transfer money, and no wage budget lol, so some people will have to go.

Just sat and read from where i got up to! :) had some excellent results! and some not so excellent ones! :( but fantastic read and amazing write ups on every one bud :) keep up the work! :D

Before
Palermo had scraped through against Atletico Madrid in Europe. Their players were tired, but they had to step up against Milan today, and put an end to their poor run in Serie A. Their last 2 games had seen them ship 11 goals

After
Palermo were uneasy in possession today, and looked like they were scared to be on the wrong end of a thrashing. Their first touch was poor and it looked as if the pressure was getting to them, but a bullet free kick by Henrique, which gave Palermo the lead, seemed to settle every ones nerves.
The game was tight, with Palermo and Milan both guilty of missing sitters, and going into the last 10 minutes, Palermo looked like they would hold on. But Pato equaled the scores on 84 minutes, Palermo's heads dropping.
Gattuso should have been sent off for a foul on the edge of the area, but he didn't get a second yellow. Piatti's shot hit a defender, resulting in a Palermo corner. Pastore crossed the ball in onto the head of Galeano, who headed home, 2-1 to Palermo.
The next five minutes were nail biting, with Pato hitting the bar. Palermo held on for the win, and held on to the top place, as Inter beat Lecce and Juventus eased past Roma

Before
Mr Drezzy was considering playing his back up players in this game, but didn't want to risk it, so he chose the strongest starting line up available to him.

After
Every one was routing for Spal in this one but as soon as Gilardino opened the scoring on 1 minute, they knew it wasn't to be Spals day. Gilardino went on to score a hat trick, with Kadlec scoring and Zamboni heading into his own net, which all added up to a fine Palermo 5-0 win. Palermo are through

Palermo are through to the final after a 7-3 aggregate victory over Spal. Spal caused shockwaves when they defeated Palermo in the first leg, but Palermo over powered them in the second leg.

In two very tight games, Napoli edged Genoa out, after beating them 3-1 in the first leg in Naples. The return leg saw both teams score 2 goals each, helping Napoli go through 5-3 on aggregate.

Napoli are favourites to lift the cup this season, as they will go head to head with Palermo

Some great results, and on for the treble! And then hopefully you can put in a good showing in the Champions League next season. Keep it up.

Before
Palermo were playing the Saturday night game, ahead of Inter Milan and Juventus, Palermo needed a result.

After
What a stale first half, Palermo were extremely nervous and things got worse in the second, as Munoz headed into his own goal. He looked as if he felt that his error would cost Palermo the title. Ghezzal then added Bari's second, knocking the wind out of Palermo. 7 minutes later though, an energetic Moccoli darted into the box and scored, giving Palermo some hope. he rallied the troops and every one lifted their heads with Kadlec getting the equaliser on 69 minutes. It was all to play for and Palermo were pressing, looking like a totally different side. It was deep into stoppage time when Piatti earned a corner kick, which Pastore took. Pastore whipped a wild ball into the box, and Bovo rose the tallest, connecting with the ball and heading it home. Palermo snatched a 3-2 victory, which will surely put the pressure on Inter and Juventus.

League title to go down to the wire

juve%20loss.jpg

Juventus fell two points behind Palermo and Inter Milan as they were held to a 1-1 draw against A.C.Milan. But in truth, Juventus were lucky to pick up a point. But they could still go onto win Serie A if Inter and Palermo fall at the final hurdle, but Juventus need to win.

Inter recorded a resounding win against Napoli in Naples this evening, dominating the game and winning 3-1. Inter Milan are favourites to win the title, as many expect Palermo will find it hard to deal with the pressure on the final day

Before
Palermo were the under dogs going into this match today, and looked to use it to their advantage

After
The first half didn't create many talking points, as both sides were very tentative in going forward, how ever, Dzeko had a goal ruled out for hand ball and Tevez hit the post on 40 minutes.
Palermo looked a little more positive in the second half, but Joe Hart was in very good form, but that couldn't stop Piatti scoring a screamer from 30 yards out, Palermo had taken an unlikely lead.
Manchester City kept on attacking but Palermo's keeper managed to keep them out.
On 83 minutes, Pastore chipped Joe Hart but hit the post, and Galeano was the quickest to react, scooping the ball into an empty net. Palermo were 2-0 up and managed to hang on. Palermo are your UEFA Europa League Champions.

Before
Palermo needed to hold their nerve today but Mr Drezzy shocked Palermo fans, because he changed the teams formation, but it had worked against Atletico and Manchester City in Europe, and Mr Drezzy hoped it would happen today.

After
Palermo shut up shop and aimed to close Fiorentina down as soon as they had the ball. This was brilliantly effective, but there was no attack, until Paulo Henrique went on a run, passing the ball to come back man Lukaku, who chipped it back. Henrique chested the ball down and blasted it into the net. Palermo were ecstatic.
Taking the lead into the second half, again Palermo held back. They had a corner on 54 minutes and Bovo was shoved to the ground. Palermo were awarded the penalty, with Diego Polenta scoring his first goal for the club. Palermo managed to hang on and they grabbed the 2-0 win. .
