Well i normally play 1 upfront so i wont be rushing to sign a striker i don't think, we have Hernandez and Podolski so i dont think any hasty signings need to be made lol

We shall see though, i may be offered a 17 y/o World Class regen, fingers crossed.

Aye for sure, that will be the only thing to tempt me to play 2 up top ha. I really hope we win something else before we leave Reading, i was almost tempted to apply for Schalke when it was availabe due to them being classed as "Rich"

I have to say an EPL title this season would be some achievement! I only just got to 2nd on my last game and the team isn't ready yet but i think next season we could really challenge
 
Don't think ill manage an update this weekend guys, busy all weekend with the mrs. Will do my best to at least have some sort of update done by Monday night. I finished Jan on Wednesday night and i am half way through Feb so shouldnt take me too long to get an update out.

January & February Update


First update from my current 6 month stint.

Transfers

Only one inbound as you will see, and for the price and wages, he is a steal, although he is being kept out the team by an 18 y/o Brazilian. I would like to make one comment, Callejon and Digne are no where near worth what the previous manager payed for them. Callejon is playing in my team because i have no one else. Digne is decent but not worth £15m in my eyes. Only one major transfer out.

Fixtures

Not a bad 2 months to be honest. The Forest game was a disgrace!! First game in charge and i feared the worst but we improved and haven't had a bad couple of months

League Table

Sadly i think the "Dream" of winning the EPL will remain a dream. We are not up to scratch with the top two. Man Utd dissected us with ease so i doubt it will happen this year. Still aiming for 4th or maybe 3rd.

Europa Cup

We are through the the next round after destroying Anji. I honestly didnt expect to win 5-1 on aggregate, the young Moraes had 4 assists and 2 MOM's in those 2 games alone. Next we have Leverkusen.

I was tempted to give this to Moraes but he only had 2 outstanding games in 2 months so the award goes to our quite but sensational CB, Eduard Bosch.

We have jumped ship. I think winning the Copa America was success enough for us to move on. Cameroon are rated 5th in the World, so some potential here. Possibly.​
 
Gotta love the Bosch! Cameroon looks an interesting one, any chance of seeing some of there better players? Personally i'd prefere us to leave the EPL if we leave Reading aswell.

Scott Joshua Abbiss has today been offered the job at managerless Napoli in Serie A. The offer on the table would see a drastic raise in Salary and also a chance to ply his trade in another country after 3 and a 1/2 successful seasons at Reading. But, Reading fans can breathe a sigh of relief as it appears that the Royals boss has turned down the offer. More to follow.​

We are sitting 3rd with 2 games to go, we only need 1 win to secure UCL football next season. Two wins and we will finish 3rd which would be a great season, again.

We were not good enough against Leverkusen. I was a bit disappointed with this as i saw Leverkusen as a weaker team then Anji but hey, it wasn't to be.

This boy is outstanding!!! No one came close to him this month, and just wow!!



On a side note, I declined the Napoli job as i wanted to wait till the end of the season, had they offered me that option, i wouldn't of hesitated but i just wanted to finish the season with Reading, a mistake?? Perhaps.

A good 6 months and season in my opinion and with myself cutting the wage bill i think we should have the money available in the summer to push for the title! And with this season we have seen the youth really develop and i am quite proud of my capture of moraes :)

You didnt cut the wage by that much mate. We are spending £850k a week!! And you offered Javier Hernandez 83k a week so i wouldnt say it was cut that much. We are £5m in the red at the moment!!

Obviously the finances will greatly improve for us to spend, the season hasn't even moved on yet so i wouldn't base it on £8m, i really don't know?​
 
Bosch is a little gem aint he! What did I pay for him 2m?

I'd reject the Arsenal job, As i have already said if we move i'd prefere to move to another league. Arsenal right now represents a sideways step in my opinion. By the looks of it they won't get champions league football and we will.
 
i would say its your 6 months so your decision! The whole point of this game!
