I have to bid up to 55m for a centre back at PSG in order for my bid to be accepted when three other teams Real, Barca and Man Utd bid 21m and get accepted, no add-ons btw either to any of these bids. WTF!!! Are Inter and PSG secret enemies or something?

Once an offer gets accepted, the club usually accepts offers from all clubs for that much, right?

Lost in the first round of the swiss cup vs. Yverdon.
Though to be fair, after the angry I threw after the game my team has gone on a 6 game streak of 4 wins and two draws.

The biggest annoyance to me is when a player demands a super high wage and leaves because you either can't/won't give a new contract then he joins another team for a lot lot less than your offer i.e. asking for 250k a week offer 200k a week then takes a contract with a lesser team with a wage of 15k a week.
Sorry, I meant they got accepted bids of 21m but I couldn't, and had to go as high as 55m before I got accepted. Seems a lil unfair.

the goalie ratings frustrate the **** out of me on this game, mainly because i don't have a flippin clue how they work, in 2 very recent games these are the opposition goalie stats

as you can see if one game their goalie made 18 saves and in the other game he made 11. My goalie in these 2 games made a combined total of 0 saves and he got a higher rating in both games, wtf, i am so lost.
also i just had a thought!! i have never seen a player in this version of FM try and go round a keeper, get bought down and win a penalty, this seems to be lacking
further to my frustration Tim Howard just made 15 saves for the USA against Belgium in the world cup and conceded 2 goals, very similar stats to the first screen shot i have up there. Tim Howard was definitely not a 6.7 rating in that game, guy was at least a 7.5 at min, i am so lost

finally i managed to build a decent squad and create a tactic, which allowed me to keep the domestic league (croatian first) as a sort of polygon for developing players without any fear of not winning the title with at least 5 games in hand. the down side is europe, i can't win against "good" teams. this season i played 2 games in the cl group stage so far and drew both. 3-3 against porto, conceded 2 from corners and 1 penalty, and 2-2 against dortmund, 1 penalty and 1 own goal. i mean really si? why do matches have to be hard coded? :S

Matches aren't hard coded.
Cant stand it when people say matches are fixed or hard coded, they aren't. Your team must be ridiculous to only be conceding awful goals in both games, seems like that's a little over exaggerated.

One time I thought it was hardcoded. Then I saved before the game and ran it ten times. Its not hardcoded. Though my team did have a skill disadvantage!
-Watching the game in full and doing your utmost to analyse where the opponent are looking strong and making tactical tweaks to prevent it. Then sitting back and being given yet another demonstration of how what you do has absolutely no bearing on how the game pans out.
-Ridiculously bad defending. Seriously, not conceding goals is, like, impossible.
-FM14 is, simply put, too hard. The AI adapts to everything you do instantly and plays perfectly against you. You adapt to them and it still doesn't stop them.
-There are roughly 3 template styles in the game that every single AI team uses. IRL nearly every team has a distinct style but playing against any given team is just like playing against any other of the many teams in the game. I feel like this is overlooked a lot.
-Pressing doesn't work. The whole point of pressing is that it forces the opponents into mistakes. But the AI just make so few mistakes. You just sit there and watch while 3 players close down Barnsley's players and they slice through you like Barcerlona despite their 16 stone centre back having 6 for passing/ composure etc.

Being ecstatic with being 1st in the Skrill South in my first season with Bromley, before going winless for the next 10 games and finishing 6th. I then proceeded to transfer list all my players in rage, meaning they wouldn't discuss contracts with me at the end of the year, and they all left, leaving my to build an entire new squad.

This is the worst FM i have played.
The most frustrating and least amount of fun i have had on a managerial game ever.
I am managing Aston Villa. 13th in the first season which without any signings or major tactical changes is fine for me.
Second season i have been playing very good football and was 3rd in the league upto Christmas. Then losing streak comes. and you CANNOT stop it. It has happened to me with liverpool and on a previous aston villa save. It is relentless losing no matter what the opposition and even save + reloads don't work. I have never ever resorted to save and reloads in previous games. This game is just such rubbish and doesn't make any sense half the time.
WHY IS MY GK throwing or kicking the ball to the opposition 4/5 times a season? Reina / Mignolet / Guzan / Steer.
Why are my EXPERIENCED CB's and MFs attempting passes across the pitch in ridiculous circumstances even though tactics and instructions say otherwise?
I get football management is difficult and unpredictable blah blah blah but a game should have an element of enjoyment and at the moment i have nearly smashed my iMac and taken my punishment out on my leg.

What really annoys me actually is how the game makes really poor teams play like 1970s Brazil or 2010 Barcelona against you. It is really infuriating to watch a relegation candidate pass and move the ball around you. I am done with this game after this season with Villa. What a shame as i paid full price for it. Waste of time and money.
