Oh bullshit. The game isn't scripted. I've proven that on here with someone who said it was. If it's so scripted, upload your save from right before that game. I'll bet that the first person to try will win the game. The game is also scripted because i have reloaded one match over and over and a very similar thing happens in each one. I play well for first 5/10 minutes and score. then the other team comes back dominates and i lose 2-1 whilst having a goal disallowed in the last minute. It has happened 4 out of 6 times.
That's exactly why you should open a thread. If you're looking for answers, you can get them. It would depend on his role, his teamwork attribute, your philosophy and any possible TIs, PIs or PPMs that could affect it.I would understand if this was a one team one set of players problem. But it is happening with Liverpool and has happened with Aston Villa with two different squads. The teams are incapable of carrying out my simple instructions.
"hold position" - positioning is 16+. so they roam forward, give the ball away. GKs kicking the ball out their hands to the opposition. I just don't understand the game is so frustrating and the worst part is you can see it coming.
Just saw my midfielder run across half the pitch to chase down a clearance after a corner. Right before he reached the ball, he completely stopped, letting the opposition striker gather it and run towards my keeper in a one on one and score. I obviously have a saboteur in my squad, he might as well have scored an own goal on purpose.
It's not hard to fix yourself. The DC has to push up to engage the ball-carrier if no-one is properly screening the defence. Either narrow the distance between Midfield and Defence or play with a DM.Is defending every going to be non retarded? No matter what instruction I use or how good the CB is, when the opposition are countering, even sometimes when they have the ball and are looking for an opening, the CB does the most retarded thing in the world and pushes up 15-20 yards to press the player on the ball opening up a HUGE gap in the backline others easily and quite often exploit. Always happens to my team no matter what team I play with, never with the opposition. I thought 14.3.1 would fix this but wow SI are full of coders who have no idea what they're doing. Name one team who defend in this retarded fashion? Players can come up to press, but not when the opp are countering with numbers all around the guy with the ball. Dumb glitch has been around since the stock settings. Why is this so hard to fix, or do SI not care?

Mate, you can watch footie all day, it doesn't change the facts. Instead of a rant on here, create a thread and ask? It's a lot more productive and you'll be able to sort out your problems in no time. They are stepping up because of a lack of defensive cover in midfield and they're adhering to your instructions probably as well. There are plenty of ways to reduce this, but you'd need to post your setup.I watch plenty of footie mate and when the opposition are countring, CB's are not to push up and engage them even if no one else is, as it would open up a huge gap in the backline. This is because when someone is running with the ball, and doesn't have anyone closing them down, it's pretty bad they have a lot to time to get their head up. But to push up and leave a gaping hole in the backline is suicidal and will get exploited every time. You could have two DM's but once in a while they will get passed and a CAM will get a run on ur def, at which point all reasoning abandons them and they push up to engage the man on the ball.
I agree with you man. CBs are always taught to jockey and not dive in when the opposition is attacking. To make the attacker decide how he is going to beat you. By stepping up this simply allows him to pick his pass and you're done. CBs should always divert back to goal and delay the attacker for as long as possible. A good example is David Luiz. Always charging up the pitch diving into tackles and gets caught out of position. Look how he's criticized for it.I watch plenty of footie mate and when the opposition are countring, CB's are not to push up and engage them even if no one else is, as it would open up a huge gap in the backline.
