I understand that there are a couple of new management sims in development as we speak. Hopefully these will have some effect on SI's apparent complacency.
So complacent their success just led to the shutdown of FIFA manager. So thats two companies who literally no longer compete. I'm genuinely amazed people think its that easy.

Why is a player out for so long with a wrist injury? This is totally unrealistic and doesn't reflect the real world!
A player in the real world would play again almost immediately with a cast on his his wrist, whereas in FM he is out for 2 months!
This has been the same in FM for as long as I can remember and definitely needs changing to reflect the real world more accurately.

Yes, its long been noted, the injury module is actually being redone for future, but some things take more than a year to be done. You're talking about one of the most complex parts of the game outside the ME.

Dont get me wrong there definitely areas for improvement in lost of place, there always is and they always attempt it. But the idea that someone is going to walk out of nowhere and suddenly trump 20 years of being the best, is actual fantasy. If it was that easy, pretty sure it would have happened. Instead we've seen the only other company with expertise stop a few years back, and now a company with unrivalled financial power has given up the fight... Think people need to start having realistic expectations.

In fairness, I did use the word apparent!

Nothing compares to FM and never has, but a bit of healthy competition surely can't do it any harm!

FIFA Manager was always truly awful and never a serious rival!

That's just it. No one is going to hold a torch to SI, mostly because they are not complacent. Would complacency mean ditching a well balanced, liked but ultimate pretty limited ME in FM12, and attempting to take the big risk and push it to something else higher?

If you read the FIFA statement, they most certainly viewed SI as a rival, they also realised what it would take to even try and get level with them, and decided to turn tail and run. And that is EA, with near infinite money!

That's verrrrry unlucky. If I remember correctly, the average time a broken wrist (the most severe type of wrist injury possible) puts a player out for is about three weeks, with a maximum time of about a month and a half. So basically your player got the worst possible type of wrist injury. That isn't really a broken wrist, think more multiple fractures and breaks, basically getting your arm crushed. It makes sense. Definitely one for this thread though!

As an aside, I'm working on a bit of an injury update, updating and fixing some more unrealistic injuries. Let me know if you find any more that are a bit suspect.

Got really ****** off when Schalke accepted €15M offers for central defender Doria and then rejected mine, even if I offered 16 or higher, in fact they suggested 27M wtf?!

All it said about the injury was that it was a fractured wrist after landing heavily and that he'd be out for 7 weeks to 2 months. It didn't mention anything about him getting his arm run-over by a steamroller! LOL

Another thing that I've noticed is that when you reject a bid for a player (usually about half of what he's valued at) and say reject equal or lower bids, the same club comes back in with exactly the same offer....which is obviously automatically rejected!

Are we due another hotifx patch or a proper update next? have SI said anything ?

In which case that's about right. He got a real bad wrist injury, unfortunately!

I was 5-1 up after the first leg of the Europa Cup qualifier against Vitesse Arnhem. So I decided to play my squad players for the second leg, in preparation for a long and arduous season in Europe's version of the Consolation Cup. Lost 0-4 and went out on away goals! To add insult to injury, my goalkeeper and then my centre back scored their first two goals.

Not FM's fault - just my own stupid complacency! Won't make that mistake again.

I struggled to get to grips with FM13 and FM14, initially. But I have taken the time to examine the tactics, touchline shouts and individual skills of my players and I'm really starting to make progress with this game now. I play the game in great detail, watching the matches in extended highlights so it's a while for me to complete a season. But I have posted about my preferred formation and how I alter the tactics to suit the situation and personnel over here:

Silly but heartfelt frustration, it's 2016 and the Arsenal trio has signed for Manchester City (Wilshire, Ramsey and Ox). Not only have I tried buying 2 of those three in earlier seasons and never got near as low what City paid for them (being Chelsea), they are also topping the league with them while Arsenal is 10th -ish. Hope it never happens in real life :).

On mine I always concede at least 2 goals and I'd say 80% of these come from through balls, to which I seemingly have no way of stopping, I've tried marking tightly, marking specifically, marking loosely, dropping deep, dropping even deeper, playing a sweeper keeper and of course the offside trap and none of them seem to make the slightest bit of difference, and like others have said matches seem far too pre determined and once you send your team out you have very little influence on the game, not as fun as other versions :'(

Have you tried setting your defense like this. CD (Stopper) CD (Cover)?

It is working for me and that two goals a game, will be one goal a game.

That is because Chelsea has Arsenal as fierce rivals and manager is unlikely to sell to a rival manager, unless you've befriended him.
