the people that tested the mach engine need their heads looked at,or as alan suger woud say your fired.for 2015 please get the mach engine right and just concentrate on the match engine and nothing else.si should also get people who have played the game the most hrs to test the game that way we would get a better game.people on here defend the game saying its tactics this and that,but i have played well over 1000 hrs on this game with hundreds of tactics and yes ive won trophies and also went a full season with no defeats.the fact is the match engine is very poor
 
This has probably been said over 100,000 times in this thread but goalkeepers unbelievably glitchy..

You mean how the keepers with 14+ reflexes end up pulling off save after save? Because that happens to me constantly.
 
I pull in a few free signings to sell on in the next window, don't even place them in the starting team yet my tactics familiarity drops and i instantly start playing worse. Good logic there FM :/

Penalty shoot outs are painful, why can't they get these right? You could barely score penalties last year but now i've had a couple of shoot outs go to 20+ penalties for each side.

Also red cards seem to have next to no influence on the flow of the game.
 
Playing Man United away is one of the frustrations of my FM season, whenever playing in England. They will lose against relegation team when managed by AI, but somehow shittiest of players turn superman against my side.

I'll most probably hit woodwork, their GK, even if it's backup **** GK, will make worldly save on a couple of chances I do manage to create. I can beat any other team away from home, but them. I rarely draw, let alone beat them. And no, I do not always play a high line with pressing, even stand off and parking the bus doesn't work.
 
seems like FM14 is about playing the game the way it wants you to, and not the other way round.
Certain tactics and strategies are penalized against other styles of play. For E.G standing off and staying on feet defending will always lose out to hard tackling as players (both mine and the AI) can always slide in hard from behind and never rarely give away a penalty or get carded. its always"an excellent tackle" for the defender.

It is incredibly hard to get a clean/sheet or 0-0 draws as the ME always seem to give 1 side (Me or the AI a goal). and there is really little player intelligence or individual moments of brilliance seen on the pitch. the ME seems to be coded in a way where if it reads your tactic as being wrong generally, your players will not be able to execute simple passes/ especially GKs kicking the ball straight out of the field despite being under no pressure.

I am currently attempting to play a very defensive strategy, and again and again, at least 1 of my defenders keeps making mistakes allowing the AI to score. seems like the only way to play is to keep outscoring opponents as you will rarely be able to keep aclean sheet. BTW, why cant I attach screenshots?

Agree with you man with the tactical aspect. In FM i can never create a completely revolutionizing tactic like coaches do IRL that is a completely different style of football. FM more or less makes you play a certain way otherwise you lose and rarely do I experiment with a new style of tactic.
 
Oh and what's more: every match, someone seems to get injured. I've got Ballotelli, De Sciglio and now Tom Cleverly (who I brought in) hurt.
 
The worst game of this franchise. Ever. Very incosistent, and not enjoyable. No problem with the other games though, FM13 was (is!!) perhaps my favourite.

This is what annoys about the game.

Final score 4-2 to PSG. Had more CCC's over PSG. I have strikers with 16 and 15 finishing with good composure, but still they cannot finish.

But of course, no such problem for PSG.
 
Man, you're exaggerating. Think how Del Bosque felt few days ago. He has every right to blame ME :P
 
Some of your complaints HONESTLY make me believe some of you don't know how to play.

I been playing since LMA 97.

No problems here with adjusting to no sliders. Yes, the previous versions of FM14 sucked so make sure yours is fully updated. It's BETTER than FM13 by an absolute mile in my honest opinion. But none of them will match the brilliance that was CM01/02. I was able to buy whoever I wanted and make them good. Back when the media hype didn't rule everything in our lives so much so game developers garner an almost subconscious bias...

I hate how every central midfielder has a "goes forward" or "arrives late in box". It's stupid. It's like some people don't even watch the games really. Go watch Arsenal's first 15-20 games and see Aaron Ramsey's main role. He was a DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDER not an ATTACKING MIDFIELDER. He moved toward attacking midfielder against teams that play 11 at the back where we don't need someone to sweep up the balls and when Ramsey went forward Wilshere would stay back and vice versa. It's not possible in this current version. THAT'S my major gripe. Then CA/PA impact. ME doesn't even come into it.

Stop using specialised roles as well people. But I guess there's no point in suggesting this because inevitably they will buy specialist role players because "they are the best". People ;( we're our own worst enemies.
 
If I do my **** well in prep and I have a squad of well paid, world class professionals, I expect to be winning, and not getting results picked out of a hat because "I'm not supposed to be 3rd in the league". The first half of the match often kinda sorta makes sense. The second half is just f-in chaos. My 18 finishing, 16 composure, ppm'd Christiano di Messi van Aguero will suddenly pass the ball to the keeper or hit the post 95% of the time, the star playmakers who are supposed to play a quick passing game will stand like salt pillars when pressed by 3 defenders, even though there are 2 unmarked players 5 meters away, my 30 million wingers will try to score 30 meter shots, even though I've explicitly told them not to.

Watching your own authopsy would probably be more fun than watching the strikers shoot or the defenders "press and tackle". At least I know that the next time they release another version, my money will "hit the post". And it will be justly deserved.
 
The one thing that has annoyed me on this particular save is the fact that I cannot progress past the first knockout round of the CL. First season, I come top of my group by a mile and draw Man City. I win the first leg at home 3-1, with comfortable ease. Second leg, I lose 3-0 and go out. Pretty ****** off but thought next year will be better. Comes to this year, and I come 2nd in my group and draw Celtic in the knockout round. I win 2-1 at home in the first leg, then end up losing the 2nd leg 2-1, resulting in penalties ... which I lose 13-12. I don't know if it's just a mental thing or something but I just cannot progress! I feel it's an away-game thing and I can only do well at home ...
 
Not really a game bug... but two financial powers trying to steal one of my best players... It's annoying.

Mourinho has declared interest and now Chelsea are seriously chasing him... he handed in a transfer request but I persuaded him to stay but I doubt he will want to for any longer. I won't be selling him for anything less than £30M (so basically he won't go... since I won't get that for him). United offered £2.2 + £8M spread over a few months in the Summer window, so this is my 2nd season in charge at Swansea, and my 2nd season with Balanta.

I can see why they want him...
