Won last game 4-0, no thanks to the strikers (a hat-trick by Valbuena whom I've put in the first 11 after he came from a 3 month injury with 50% match fitness), obviously can't expect poacher and AF strikers to shoot, after all no manager worth a salt signs strikers to bag goals. Next match- an experiment. Same tactic, same squad, save right before the match. First take- 0-0. Load, play again, let's see what happens. Same reaction from the players, everyone reasonably motivated as before. 4 minutes into the game, losing 0-2. GG.

You cant just expect your tactic to play well against every team, you need to develop it depending on the oposition.

WHAT THE ****!!!! he recovers from injury, he's fine, 98 percent conditioning... AND HE BREAKS HIS ******* ARM AFTER FRACTURING IT A MONTH BEFORE!
And now we come to the King of Injuries, Robin Van Persie, he literally gets an injury every three games, he hasn't trained since... I forgot... because I rest him after EVERY match to prevent these injuries.
I decided not to sell him and turning down a £20M bid from Dortmund in my first season because I couldn't find a replacement after I sold Rooney to R. Madrid, I bought Ballotelli recently, and if you want Mario to perform to his abilities you need a two man partnership imo until you can get his PPM's fixed, so I decided RVP and Mario were perfect for each other (they are..., there assisting each other like there is no tomorrow
)But I have to push Adnan up to play with Mario when RVP is recovering from his 'bruises'. Last season he was the Premier League's top goalscorer with 25, then after christmas he got injured constantly and he never exceeded 25 goals, he hit 25 goals in January too. Next season Mario will be the only first choice striker and I will have Mata and Isco behind him.

I can't expect the same tactic with the same players and same morale to work against the same team? What if I crashed? And that happens quite often. I recall in my Tottenham save having the same problem, drawing or getting a small win in an important away match, crashing, loading a pre-match save, getting battered 3 or 4-1. The lack of consistency is just staggering. There is no such thing as consistency or a run of good form.
What's even more frustrating is that even when I win, I hate my wins. In FM 2013 i could draw 0-0 and still be sattisfied with my team. In 2014 I watch all the situations and all the goals, and though I might be winning 5-0, I hate my team for the way they're playing. ****, I score more goals from direct free kicks than corners or one on one actions by a striker. Not in friendlies, mind you. In pre-season friendlies, despite the fact that team cohesion, tactics familiarity etc are pretty ****, the game flows well. There are some passes, some crosses, some chances missed, some are on target, almost like in an actual match. In league matches everything is just utter chaos, and not like the GoT "chaos is a ladder", this chaos is just a bottomless pit of despair. It's like the match results are actually predetermined before the match and the ME just shows you the draw results in a more annoying way. Your tactic adjustments and player substitutions might delay the inevitable, but like cheeks has said, the game will still knock you on your *** in the last shot from the last set piece of the last minute of the match.

I have just left Bayern after a few seasons at things just didn't seem to work. won the league a couple of seasons ago by about 22 points, however joust been in huge decline ever since. This year 2nd for most of it behind Dortmund, 8 draws, 3 losses. I just got battered 6-0 by Arsenal away, then beat them 3-0 at home then lost to Stuttgart away in the league 4-2. they were 20 points behind me as well. I just feel that FM14 is very inconsistent in comparison with previous FM. is it just that I cannont figure out this game or is this extremely difficult?

That depends how well you understand the game and tactics. FM isn't inconsistent. Wrong management can make you as a team inconsistent though.

well i simply do not understand the game, I have never been able to sue the tactics with FM 14. FM 13 I was able to get the hang of it and i was with Aston Villa. I presumed with Bayern things would be easier but no, I just can work this game I am afraid. Losing my love for FM at the moment.
