Seriously answer me this. With the 70 pages of moaning about the AI and the fact the matches with 30 shots and no goal as example, why do some people think there is nothing with the game?? FM13 is the same. Long shot city when all the players were told not too. FM12 is far more realistic in terms of match engine and shots etc. Or is there a magic answer everyone is missing with the current releases. I bought FM13 and knew straight away there was a fundamental problem with the matches. It sounds like this is the same and at this rate I would never buy 15!!! A proper answer????

Because these were the matches leading up to the CL result I just posted 1 post above you.
Sometimes you get a freak result, because sometimes that happens in real life.
I guess the problem most people have is that these kind of results are completely out of your control.
And when you play a game like this, most people like to be in control. I just shrug it off like I would in real life, and continue playing.
 
With respect mate. There is a lot of people on here with major issues with the game. It's not like a few odd guys moaning. I'm wondering if there is a major thing a lot of us are missing?

Tactical nous. Selective memory. Unrealistic expectations.

FM14 is hard compared to FM12, which was easy by anybodies standards.

The vast majority of the issues on this thread arent even faults with the game, I've followed this from the start. Just because someone complains, doesnt mean the complaint is accurate.

The game isnt perfect by any means, but the speed at which people fault the game isnt right.

Another thing is people try the exact same thing over and over.

Nobody realizes how morale and keeping your players hungry, keep them from getting complacent and **** like that is important. Tactic/quality of players isn't everythign.

Exactly, the key is combining all three. That's how you achieve/overachieve

Just lost the league title by a point (drew with ******* BETIS that finished 20th in the last game)
Lost the CL final to PORTO in extra time after their 5'6 winger scored a header thanks to my only availible left back (injuries) being a ****** 2 star regen.

Time to make a new save.

If I post my frustration that isn't me posting something I think is wrong with the game... it's me posting my frustrations...
 
Hmm..

The game is going through a spell where it seems intent on injuring all my first teamers.

6 first team guys out now.
 
Also every agent these days seem to be an "impatient negotiator"

Does making the game less enjoyable by the masses make it a better game? Difficult balance for SI but in my opinion a long term save is not possible/enjoyable in FM14. Can anyone really say that the ME has been good this year when SI themselves have had to make such huge changes in patches.

Think there are plenty who will disagree, a lot of long term saves running around.

You can't please everyone so the best thing they can do is create a game they are happy with. They are always going to aim for a game that will fall on the harder side of the balance.

So I'm 4-1 up as Liverpool against Everton and they all begin to think that they all turned into a team of Heskey's and lose 7-4, ****** useless !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've got 2 saves in the 2020's and both of which are still very enjoyable so it definitely is possible to enjoy a long term save. 1 of them is the Alphabet challenge so everytime I move country it is a new challenge and the other is my Sportkring Sint Niklaas save which must be about 10 years in and is still enjoyable and still a challenge as Anderlecht haven't stopped pushing us and we are trading Belgian League wins and cup wins with them domestically and both of us are still trying (mostly unsuccessfully) to make a mark on the European comps.

And the M.E. feels far more rewarding then FM12's which was too easy and it's got better through the patches. Last year it was new and I didn't enjoy it much at all but this year most of the problems have been fixed and it feels really rewarding to do well now and if I'm not doing well then I can understand why and the reaction to the changes I make is logical. Even if I overlooked something else creating a new problem for the opposition to exploit I can still see where the problem is and can usually understand why it's happening.
 
Why is it that when MY team has someone sent off, my whole team will just collapse on itself like a massive star undergoing the transformation into a black hole, but when the AI team has someone sent off, they do just fine?
Like, what should I do when this happens? Because I feel like this only happens to me and it ****** me off.
 
Wow, haven't a great time with the realistic injuries in this game. 7 injured first team players out injured long term, as soon as one comes back another gets injured, great fun

The injury rate in FM is actually slightly lower compared to real life. If you want it to be realistic, there would be more injuries.
