1-1 fiorentina had 3 offside goals

0-0 sampdoria we hit the upright twice

1-4 inter motta scored a long shot, for the 4th consecuitve time ive played against inter, midfield was analy raped, 30% posession

0-3 roma, 3 down in half time, best part roma had 5 shots and 2 on target. yes, own goal, from david beckham of all people.

0-0 inter, the second leg from which i lost 1-4 i had 8 shots, none on target. lukaku missed a penalty

3-0 vs siena. its a win, i should be happy but, i got 7 yellow cards, flamini got a red and the best part, gattuso,onyewu,nesta and ronaldinho suspended for next match for accumulating cards. oooh next match im facing juventus away, happy happy joy joy!

i dont know what is keeping me from smashing my laptop nowadays.

No big deal. The AI gets 3 CCCs and gets 2 goals while my Rooney/Neymar/Ronaldo triad can only take 2 out of 10 CCCs. Perhaps just a way of giving the AI a chance. Or perhaps just my human bias

Having a 3 man midfield dominated by a 2 man midfield at home. It doesn't even make the slightest bit of sense, yet on FM it's well within the realms of normality.

When i have a CCC, 90% of the time its a well worked goal, whilst 90% of the AI's CCC's are from defensive errors(regardless of quality)

My striker has an open goal from two yards that does'nt count as a CCC.

I score 1 goal per 4 CCC's created, the AI scores 2 goals per CCC created.

First can I apolgise for nothing more than a rant or moan. Only way I can get it out of my system.

Ever since this game i loved went to Football manager from Champ Manager Ive struggled every year then end up un-insalling the game.

Take this year for example. As per usual with EVERY start of the season of every FM2006-10 my team is on fire then within a few weeks I cant buy a win. End up near the bottom and get sacked.
I listen to advice that never works and then ignore advice that also never works.

Right now Im Bury . Ive listened to the advice and find myself 0-3 down at home to Burton!!!
FFS when will this game work for me?

selling a player in his last year of contract with no future at the club, aka a fairly poor reserve player at Manchester United, sell him for his value inexplicably not noticing that the club i sold him to Shefiield Wednesday listed me as one of thier minor rivals. it went down with a 0% fan confidence, wont cost me my job but bleeding frustrating, how was i to know they were rivals, i cant check the details of every club that makes a bit for one of my players. for some reason selling players as a big club seems to be a right pain, especially releasing poor reserve youth players who cant be sold, but have no future the fans always get irritated by it

Being 0-3 up against Fulham in the first half and losing the game 4-3 in the final 15 minutes. How the **** is that even possible?

You need to read about the game a LOT. I suggest you read the Tactical Theorems '10 at least. It is a big read but well worth it. You should also try some guides about team talks and man management. If you can't beat them tactically on the field, beat 'em strategically off it

So I'm playing against Celtic with my Airdrie United team. Now they've got guys like Bieler, Ba, Obasi, Enyeama, Geromel, Breno, you get the gist. It's 1-0 at half time because of a dodgy penalty decision. One of my players has a minor injury and 1 didn't play well, so I subbed them off. One was Marek Cech and he was subbed for Alberto Morgado. So far so good eh?

...hhhhhhhhhh nuh? Morgado gets injured so I think "I don't have anyone to cover him, but I have one sub left"... I forgot that I had subbed van Bommel for Zezinho earlier so I have a MASSIVE hole down the left flank [I didn't play any wingers] and, as I expect, they take advantage of it and beat me convincingly. Injuries in this are over the top, really.

Slowly realising that the Finishing attribute actually doesn't mean anything after witnessing my 3 FWs (16,17 and 19 Fin.) miss 5/6 clear cut chances per game for 8 games now. Despite their attempts to sabotage my debut season at AC in 2012 we're top, so not total frustration!

Their composure stats must be low. Also a 165 striker versus a 180 keeper would favour the keeper to save; it all racks up.

They weren't low, they were 15,16,17.

I think it may have more to do with consistency/important matches and the motivation. When your players aren't motivated enough, they seem to miss sitters while they can produce 40 yard shots when fired up. Of course, some of it is down to luck. I had a lot of shots hitting the posts and the crossbar earlier, but now it happens much less often.

Signing players is just an absolute pisstake in this game. It's just infuriating that an initial price of, say, 1.7m is asked for then the club ends up asking over the top prices like 4m + 2.5m after 10 games + 20% of profit..... etc. WHAT A NIGHTMARE. Can't sign any wonderkid regens without paying an arm and a leg.

kev exactly the same is happening with me. As ipswich in my first season, i done a tour of spain, playing sevilla, real madrid 'b', and a lower spanish league club. I won 2-1 at sevilla, 3-0 at real madrid 'b', and the other i thrashed. I kept the same tactics so my team would get used to one another. Now im 14 games into the season, and find myself 19th. My top players aren't doing anything, and i listen to my assistant all the time, which gets me nowhere. I'm now starting a new league as ipswich, where i am not listening to my assistant at all.

I was advised versus Yeovil that they play poorly versus teams that play 4-4-2, wide with fast tempo. So i employed those tactics.
I "showed" the Yeovil forwards onto their weaker foot and took the advice that certain players in my team prefered to play a certain way ie direct etc

Oh and Yeovil are bottom.....i lost 1-3 at Home !!!!!!!

There you go - all players in FM have on average 10 stats in their individual position which need to be considered when analysing someone for purchase, or, as you are, wondering why a players' not performing. It's not a question of having great numbers in just a couple of stats, but having a good AVERAGE spread for all the stats reqiuired. EG: A player with all his specialised stats at say 15 each, would be very decent ( but very rare ) player indeed.
