Ra?l Gonz?lez Blanco - The Prince of Madrid returned.

Loved this story, Read it right through, Honestly thought Will Hughes would have cost you the CL thankfully he never scored although it never done you much favours. Good luck in getting that CL before going to madrid!

I was honestly in a limbo of keeping him but when I saw better players available for a lesser price it had to be done.

UEFA Champions League Group Stage
Wednesday 2nd October 2019

The Hawthorns

West Brom 2 - 0 Leverkusen
Soto (3'), Doria (23')

MOTM: Lars Bender

Another win in the group sends us top of the table level with Inter Milan, the next match will be vital. Soto carries on his fine goalscoring form this year and the skipper even got himself on the scoresheet today to make our lead even more comfortable.

Barclays Premier League
Monday 7th October 2019
The Hawthorns

West Brom 0 - 1 Man Utd
Silva sent off

MOTM: Kurt Zouma

The early sending off killed us and put us on the backfoot all game. This ends our good start to the season against an average Man United team and provided we had 11 men I feel we could have controlled the game and got all three points here.

Barclays Premier League
Saturday 19th October 2019

The Hawthorns

West Brom 4 - 1 Crewe
Ruiz Diaz (17'), Ioannou (19'), Soto (55', 74')

MOTM: Emmanuel Ruiz Diaz

A crushing defeat to Crewe who look to be struggling this year after a few of their better players was poached and not boasting the biggest budget in the league they are struggling and need to find a solution quick before it's too late.

UEFA Champions League Group Stage
Wednesday 23rd October 2019

Giuseppe Meazza

Inter 1 - 2 West Brom
Soto (44', 76')

MOTM: Jonathan dos Santos

Despite facing criticism for playing defensive boring football by pundits abroad in the Champions League it serves us well and we will do what we need to win, we have reached three semi-finals and one final in the past four years. A strong win here sends us top of the group.

Barclays Premier League
Sunday 27th October 2019
Carrow Road

Norwich 1 - 2 West Brom
Soto (27', 31')

MOTM: Andres Soto

Yet another brace from the Argentinian, he has grabbed the role by the horns this year and relished the challenge. We rejected a host of bids over the summer amounting up to 50m for him but days like these prove why he is vital to us.

Barclays Premier League
Wednesday 30th October 2019

New White Hart Lane

Tottenham 0 - 2 West Brom
Gabriel Barbosa (25'), Ruiz Diaz (37')

MOTM: Emmanuel Ruiz Diaz

The team won this today, not individuals. We have players now who are willing to fight and die for that shirt and not give up a place in the team, Barbosa took his chance when given today and will be keeping Soto out of the team for the next game. I challenge my players to rival eachother for the position.

Yeah it's understandable with they way you've been making profits to just buy & sell, could be your downfall in the CL though.

It could be mate but I've secured the finances for the stadium and the future of the club, update out soon :)

The finances behind the scenes, 124m in the black is excellent budget control.

Barclays Premier League
Saturday 2nd November 2019

Stamford Bridge

Chelsea 1 - 2 West Brom
Gabriel Barbosa (40'), Ioannou (73')

MOTM: Doria

These are the sort of away wins are what determines where the title ends up. Barbosa has shown he is rivalling Soto for the striking spot by scoring another goal and having a good all round game.

UEFA Champions League Group Stage
Tuesday 5th November 2019

The Hawthorns

West Brom
0 - 1 Inter

MOTM: Marcelo

A very tight game which could of swung either way, how Inter Milan are a third seed team in the Champions League is beyond believable, they are on par with us. I'm not angry with the loss as we put in a good shift and lost with dignity.

Barclays Premier League
Saturday 9th November 2019

The Hawthorns

West Brom 3 - 1 Hull
Gabriel Barbosa (8', 10'), Ruiz Diaz (17')

MOTM: Gabriel Barbosa

A good win at home but we switched off after we scored a trio of goals inside 7 minutes which is the only thing which was wrong, also we could have kept a clean sheet but we have a habit of letting teams always get a late goal for a little bit of hope.

Capital One Cup Fourth Round
Tuesday 12th November 2019

The Hawthorns

West Brom 2 - 0 Portsmouth
Doria (28'), Schroder (66')

MOTM: Luke Shaw

Today was all about the young German man, Holger Schroder who made his debut at 16 years old and within 20 minutes of coming on for the big name Soto, he managed a goal on his debut and with a very, very cool finish under pressure. I will be looking to use him more in cup games and have a better look at him.

Capital One Cup Quarter Final draw:
Sheff Wed v West Brom

Barclays Premier League
Saturday 23rd November 2019

The Hawthorns

West Brom 2 - 2 Arsenal
Soto (20'), Luis Fernando (37')

MOTM: Remie Streete

Not a bad result considering we picked up two wins against big teams in Chelsea and Tottenham and I would have taken 7 out of the 9 if you asked me before hand. Luis Fernando is really pushing a spot which is giving me a headache on the central defender partnership as we need to keep clean sheets.

UEFA Champions League Group Stage
Wednesday 27th November 2019

The Hawthorns

West Brom 5 - 0 BATE Borisov
Rodriguez (12'), Gabriel Barbosa (19', 35'), Kondogbia (44'), Zouma (90+4')

MOTM:
James Rodriguez

What a crushing performance in the Champions League, I cant reiterate how important it is to be clinical when playing in these games. The fans was treated to a goal fest and a brilliant performance, we also qualified after this result but we will want to top the group.

Barclays Premier League
Saturday 30th November 2019

DW Stadium

Wigan 2 - 2 West Brom
Soto (9'), Rodriguez (35')

MOTM: Andros Townsend

Absolutely woeful. To be 2-0 up to a team like Wigan and to let them back into the game is disgraceful. I will be dropping a few players who are considered key players for the team next game as they let us down today and I have had words with them today and they will have to work themselves back into the team.

That's great that you're keeping yourself financially healthy, you've a lot of loan to pay back. Although I think by that time You'll go to Real Madrid, but you'd have made West Brom as big a club as RM of course with not that big history. Btw you need to crush teams at home, be it Arsenal, City's giving you tough competition with the league, you weren't able to win even with 89 points!

Btw I'm just guessing, I think you've grown attached to the club (West Brom) and the work you've done over the years. Because at this stage you'll easily get a job at Real Madrid. Or are you hoping for the to approach you?

'He's got the whole world in his hands'

Barclays Premier League
Tuesday 3rd December 2019

The City Ground

Notts Forest 0 - 0 West Brom

MOTM: John Flanagan

Some people will say a point at away from home is a good point but our last three Premier League games have ended in draws and that is six points dropped, basically one won and two lost. We wasn't creative enough or clever enough to even open up a team like Notts Forest today.

Barclays Premier League
Saturday 7th December 2019

Anfield

Liverpool 1 - 8 West Brom
Rodriguez (9', 42', 47', 79'), Driussi (56') Schroder (82', 90'), Siciliano (85')

MOTM: James Rodriguez

WOW. Biggest ever away win and at the legendary ground Anfield. We was simply unbeatable today and took every chance we got, clinical, deadly and hungry after the last game where we made a complete idiots of ourselves. James Rodriguez claimed a matchball with four goals today.

UEFA Champions League Group Stage
Tuesday 10th December 2019

BayArena

Leverkusen 1 - 0 West Brom

MOTM: Marcel Schmelzer

We lost to a wondergoal from left-back Marcel Schmelzer, there's nothing we can do to stop goals like that. We end up finishing the group 2nd but we hope for a good draw in the Champions League to give us a chance of progressing.

Capital One Cup Quarter Final
Tuesday 17th December 2019

Hillsborough

Sheff Wed 0 - 7 West Brom
Siciliano (13', 25'), Gabriel Barbosa (23', 43', 59', 75'), Rodriguez (34')

MOTM: Gabriel Barbosa

Another vintage performance away from home which makes it 15 goals in two matches in English football. We was clinical again today and yet another game where a player scores four goals, Barbosa has been sensational and lead the line with confidence today.

How does this work?

Barclays Premier League
Thursday 26th December 2019

The Hawthorns

West Brom 3 - 1 Ipswich
Soto (10'), Kondogbia (36'), Doria (53')

MOTM: Doria

That's more like it from us, a confident and clear message we made only a minor hiccup. All through the spine of the team was on the scoresheet today, A clean sheet would have been perfect but it's me being a little bit picky.

Barclays Premier League
Saturday 28th December 2019

Britannia Stadium

Stoke 0 - 1 West Brom
Gabriel Barbosa (81')

MOTM: Shane Duffy

A game won scruffy, but still won. A late goal which damaged all hopes of Stoke getting anything from the game ends the year on a big morale boost that we picked ourselves up after a little slump in form.

It's not necessarily where I'm going to end up, if I get a job offer at another club and I think my times come at West Brom then I'll make the switch. As the old saying goes, there's only so far you can take a club.

The West Brom vs Bournemouth game, The on target and off target shots add up to be 31 and total shots are 36, that means 5 on woodwork? Unrealistic!

It was very, very painful watching it. Probably got more joy out of smashing 8 past Liverpool though :)

In the game against Sheff Wed you had 10 SOT and 7 goals. This always happens, I usually have lower Shots in high scoring games too.

Three very very good acquisitions to the club and will improve us massively, The two Brazilians join us on pre-contract agreements and talk about value for money as they was both ripping the Brazilian League apart we have welcomed them into our team with open arms. As for Todorovski we was lacking quality at left-back and he gives us a solidness about him and hopefully will be able to provide a stronger back line.

The biggest deal of the window and most eye-catching was Barbosa to PSG. They have constantly been putting offers in for my other striker Andres Soto after being knocked back several times they decided to come in for Gabriel. I was happy to take the money as he was moaning about not starting every game ahead of Soto who is a better allround player and was asking for a ridiculous new contract. We will recall Reinilson from his loan at Atletico where he has been on fine form and basically receiving a free striker. Salah was sold due to not being able to recapture his form after his injury and we did well to recoup 10m for him. Nagaki was brought in on a free and sold for profit.

Total Received: 52.6m

Total Profit: 41.35m

Danilo Glauco is an effing brilliant capture, for free, simply awesome! If you're short in MF use him as Box to box and he'll rip midfield apart. Btw the Full back you brought is right footed, sure you want to use him at Left back? He may not cross at all.

Champions League First Knockout Round draw:
PSG v West Brom

Barclays Premier League
Wednesday 1st January 2020
Craven Cottage

Fulham 1 - 3
West Brom
Soto (55'), Danilo Glauco (58', 66')

MOTM:
Danilo Glauco

What a way to introduce yourself to the fans Danilo Glauco. After being brought on at half-time few West Brom fans would like to see what the Brazilian had to offer and boy did he show them. A brace on his debut with both goals taken expertly will have the fans excited.

FA Cup Third Round
Wednesday 5th January 2020

The Hawthorns

West Brom 0 - 2 Arsenal

MOTM: Chris Smalling

Lost to a better team on the day where they had a full team out compared to our youth, it will be a good experience for all the players who was involved and they would have picked up some vital tips.

Capital One Cup Semi Final First Leg
Wednesday 8th January 2020

The Hawthorns

West Brom 1 - 0 Man City
Driussi (82')

MOTM: Kurt Zouma

There's nothing better for me than winning against a moneybags team. We take the advantage over to the Etihad where hopefully we can cling on again and claim our rightful stage in the cup that we always seem to be involved in.

Barclays Premier League
Saturday 11th January 2020

St. James' Park

Newcastle 0 - 1 West Brom
Rodriguez (59')

MOTM: Kurt Zouma

A match infront of 60,000 Geordies was never going to be an easy match and St James is a hard ground to go to. Not many teams will take three points away from here this season but we did and we never got out of second gear.

Barclays Premier League
Saturday 18th January 2020

The Hawthorns

West Brom 3 - 0 Reading
Luis Fernando (24'), Ioannou (42'), Marcos Roberto (62')

MOTM: Giorgos Ioannou

Overall, an excellent team performance today. The Cyprian Ioannou had his best game in a West Brom shirt today, he is a fantastic player who has the potential to become one of the best but needs to add goals to his game as he has everything else.

Capital One Cup Semi Final Second Leg
Tuesday 21st January 2020

Etihad Stadium

Man City 1 - 1 West Brom (1-2 agg)
Danilo Glauco (66')

MOTM: Joachim Weiner

We make it to our favorite final again!!! Our fans must be sick of Wembley every year for the final... But atleast we are in with a shout of winning trophies year upon year. The team fought for one another today and was always first to the challenge which Man City didn't seem to want it as much as us. Kurt Zouma suffered a broken jaw in todays match and will probably be out for around 2 months.

Capital One Cup Final:
Man Utd v West Brom

Barclays Premier League
Tuesday 28th January 2020

The Hawthorns

West Brom 0 - 1 Tottenham

MOTM: Nathaniel Clyne

A bad end to a good month, we was evenly matched all game but Tottenham are not the team they once was and I came away disappointed that we didn't beat them, they have a very poor standard of a squad and set up very defensively against us.

Barclays Premier League
Sunday 2nd February 2020

Liberty Stadium

Swansea 1 - 2 West Brom
Reinilson (2'), Ioannou (21')

MOTM: Lee Hodson

We did exactly what I wanted today and returning striker Reinilson took two minutes to get his name back on the scoresheet for us after a loan spell at Atletico Madrid. Also Ioannou has stepped up to the plate since I set him a challenge to score more goals.

Barclays Premier League
Wednesday 5th February 2020

The Hawthorns

West Brom 2 - 1 Crystal Palace
Ruiz Diaz (17'), Marcos Roberto (85')

MOTM: James Chester

Not a performance to be proud of today and a scruffy win, I don't want it to become a regular habit but I will take the points. We are under pressure this year to defend our title and see if we have it in us.

Barclays Premier League
Saturday 8th February 2020

Old Trafford

Man Utd
2 - 5 West Brom
Soto (4'), Reinilson (9', 29'), Rodriguez (43'), Ioannou (66')

MOTM: Andres Soto

Wow, on the back of two average performances we go and smash United at Old Trafford. We was brilliant today and sealed and signed them off by half-time. We embarrassed them infront of their fans which is unbuyable.

Barclays Premier League
Tuesday 11th February 2020

The Hawthorns

West Brom 1 - 0 Norwich
Doria (45')

MOTM: Doria

Nothing like your captain leading by example. When in times of need he popped up with the goods, although Norwich wasn't interested in playing football they looked like they went out for a fight and injuring two of our players in the process I thought they was a disgrace and Gary Bowyer ought to be shamed of his team.

Barclays Premier League
Sunday 23rd February 2020

The Hawthorns

West Brom 0 - 0 Chelsea

MOTM: Baba Rehman

A respectable draw. A clean sheet and still a point, it would be ideal if we won everything at home but that's football and it doesn't happen.. The chase is still on.

UEFA Champions League First Knockout Round First Leg
Wednesday 26th February 2020

The Hawthorns

West Brom
1 - 0 PSG
Soto (66')

MOTM:
Doria

A fantastic victory against a French equivalent to Man City.. The only stressing thing from this match is that with our chances we could of sealed the second leg off and gave them no way of getting back into the tie but we only managed to muster one goal with 22 shots all game. We will face a tricky trip to Paris.
