Ra?l Gonz?lez Blanco - The Prince of Madrid returned.

You can win the title before the last game this season, congratulations! And Good luck against Bayern, over-confidence can hurt players.
Most certainly, I hope it's our season though and we don't balls up again.

We head into the last month of the season with hope aswell as expectation.

Barclays Premier League
Saturday 4th May 2019

The Hawthorns

West Brom 2 - 1 Arsenal
Ruiz Diaz (28'), Rodriguez (34')

MOTM: Emmanuel Ruiz Diaz

We now put the pressure on City in the later kick-off and if they fail to win the Premier League is ours. A fantastic performance which we fought for and showed true character and spirit. The league just looks like it could be heading back to The Hawthorns this year.

FT Result: Liverpool 2 - 0 Man City

It's ours!!!! We have lifted the Premier League after a 4 year absence. We looked stronger, fitter and more hungry this year, we hope to expand on this and make it the start of a domination of English football.

UEFA Champions League Semi Final Second Leg
Wednesday 8th May 2019

The Hawthorns

West Brom 4 - 0 FC Bayern (4-1 agg)
Soto (4', 48'), Kondogbia (75'), Ruiz Diaz (77')

MOTM: Geoffrey Kondogbia

Unbelievable. A moment in European football which will stick in my heart forever, we embarrassed the Germans tonight and we was warriors. We would of died for eachother on that pitch if we needed to. The team harmony is exceptional and to pick themselves up from a 1-0 loss is beyond believable. We progress to the final for the chance to claim the almighty treble!!!!!

UEFA Champions League Final:

Man City v West Brom

Barclays Premier League
Sunday 12th May 2019

The Alexandra Stadium

Crewe 1 - 3 West Brom
Soto (46'), Jose Valdir (60'), Kondogbia (84')

MOTM: Geoffrey Kondogbia

After the excitement of winning the Premier League and reaching the Final of the Champions League I thought my players heads would be all over but we must stay focused if we want to win the biggest prize of them all in European football. I'm trying to rest players but also keep them match fit for the final.

Barclays Premier League
Sunday 19th May 2019

The Hawthorns

West Brom 3 - 2 Ipswich
Herrera (2'), Reinilson (16', 18')

MOTM: Reinilson

The story of the day was about young Aitor Herrera making his debut for the club at 16 and the defensive midfielder had a debut to remember as he capped it off with a goal and a wonderful performance. Next year I may look ever closer at him should I consider I need some more options in midfield.

Will Hughes

The former West Brom man made the switch to the Etihad in the Summer for 37m. He has lived up to his pricetag being in delightful form and West Brom fans will hope he has a bad game today against his former employee's.

West Brom:

Geoffrey Kondogbia

The animal has been controlling games for West Brom this year and has been at the heart of everything, brought in as Will Hughes replacement many fans will say he has done a better job and is more of a complete player which can tackle, score, pass and compete. If West Brom are to win today he will be at the heart of everything.

The Match:

View attachment 456353

We was extremely unfortunate to lose, but after the equaliser to get a man sent off was always going to hamper us, I don't think it merited a second yellow but I cannot change the opinion of the referee, we made a good account of ourselves and although we are all utterly disappointed in not winning the trophy we made progress from last year and now we have cracked the Premier League hopefully next year in the Champions League will be our year.

Geoffrey Kondogbia

The boy has everything you could want in a player and has impressed many people this year after his departure from Monaco, I'm glad we picked him up as he is only still 26 and is in his prime. Hopefully he will be with the club long term and win many more trophies with us.

My Young Player Of The Year:

View attachment 456347
Andres Soto

The lad has only just turned 22 and managed 21 goals in all competitions in his debut season, not even playing most games upfront. A brilliant breakthrough season and he has a long future ahead of him.

Not much movement in the window except a few youth players and there is Julian Andres Silva from Liverpool brought in as a replacement for one outgoing player in central midfield. Our youth prospects are ever growing and we are building a reputation for bringing through our youth.

Yet another successful transfer window for us, we sold mostly players who was brought in on frees or for a low amount of money. The two big fee's who are leaving are justified and not as we are selling our best players.. Pedro Obiang was into the last year of his contract and wasn't interested in a new one so we cashed in on him and replaced him with a much better player in the mould of Silva of Liverpool. As for Douglas Costa, he was mostly coming off the bench last year and giving good performances and at 29 he won't be improving further.

Goalkeepers:

View attachment 456296View attachment 456295View attachment 456294

We are blessed with a wealth of young keepers which all have plenty of years ahead of them. Our #1 is the Turkish international Orhan Demirer who at 21 is a regular starter for us and has not looked back since his 5.5m transfer from Barcelona 2 years ago. Both of the other lads are always fighting it out for 2nd place and trying to give me a headache to make.

Full Backs:

View attachment 456293View attachment 456292View attachment 456291View attachment 456290

We don't have fixed players in the full-back positions as they are always swapping and playing rotation to eachother, the full-back in our formation is the player who does most of the running and covers the most pitch in the match so to have a replacement is always very handy.

Centre Backs:

View attachment 456289View attachment 456288View attachment 456287
Again, all fairly young which some people may say in a centre-half you need experience but with Zouma and Doria raking up nearly 450 apps in their careers between them I have faith they have enough experience and playing regularly in the Champions League. Doria also leads the side as the captain. As for Luis Fernando he has been out on loan in the past few seasons and impressed around Europe so now is his chance to challenge for a spot in the centre back.

Central Midfielders:

View attachment 456286View attachment 456285View attachment 456284View attachment 456283

We have alot of other Central Midfielders out on loan but these three are the main guys who will run the midfield for us, Geoffrey proved last year he is a complete all round player and will run through walls for the team whereas new signing Julian Silva excites me very much and I believe with hard work he can come one of the worlds very best. Ruiz Diaz has had big offers in the summer but after we stuck by him after a long injury he wants to stay at the club and prove his loyalty. This is Sciliano's breakthrough season and instead of sending him out on loan I've chosen to keep him and use him sparingly.

Wingers:

View attachment 456282View attachment 456281View attachment 456280

These guys provide ultimate width and the men to create most of the chances, Salah coming back from a long term injury is used sparingly until we know he is back to full fitness but on his day cutting inside from the right he is unstoppable with a furious left foot. James Rodriguez was pushed out to the left last season and showed some excellent form and often docks his fullback for pace. Ioannou shows incredible potential and last year was starting but faded off a little which was expected at the age of 21, but a loan move to Bayern he rediscovered form and hopefully will be a important player this year for us.

Attacking Midfielders:

View attachment 456279View attachment 456278

Quintero is no doubt the starter and offers us the most creativity and is the older player but Driussi has been brought in from Real Madrid to rival him for the position and keep him on his toes, it's great to have such quality players at your disposal.

Strikers:

View attachment 456277View attachment 456275

Both of these guys ooze quality and as you saw last year they both know how to score goals in abundance, Gabriel Barbosa struggled a bit with injuries and it hampered his form when he was just scoring goals, meanwhile Soto was amazing in his debut season and in the summer was a result of bids all across the world of 44m+ but I wan't to hold onto him as I feel he can become the best Striker in the world.

Lukasz Parol is more convincing GK IMO, Orhan Demirer's height doesn't convince me, nor does his Aerial ability. Btw on FM13 I stopped loaning out players as it didn't help much, I kept em in U21/U18 and set their training level to heavy and they'd develop into beasts, is it same here? Courtois developed into a beast at Chelsea. 20 Reflexes! Yes, 20! And Aerial ability 19.

Love your layout, mate! You've done an amazing job with this story!

Hi Mate. As always a superb read and very in depth. Congratulations on your success so far. Keep up the good work.

Just letting you know, I've had to stop my story due a 'crash dump error' which affected the save, meaning I couldn't continue my story! Having a think if I should do another one or not. :)

I can look into it mate, to be fair to him he hardly ever loses out on crosses but I've still been tinkering with youth and sometimes putting them on too heavy schedules takes their toll. Thanks for feedback though appreciated.

Community Shields
Sunday 11th August 2019
Wembley

West Brom 0 - 0 Tottenham (3-5 pens)

MOTM: Ricardo Rodriguez

We lost on penalties which was unlucky as it is a lottery but we put in a solid defensive display and I was happy with the new players who have come in and showed glimpses of what they will offer us this year, it would have been nice to win the Community Shield but it's no big issue, hopefully we can win the Premier League instead.

Barclays Premier League
Sunday 18th August 2019
The Hawthorns

West Brom 4 - 2 Fulham
Luis Fernando (16'), Silva (19'), Soto (25', 40)

MOTM: Emmanuel Ruiz Diaz

A brilliant result on the opening day, we was clinical and destructive infront of goals. We are the predators of the league this year and everybody will want to stop us to make sure we don't make it two in a row, we have goalscorers all over the pitch which is a massive bonus for us.

Barclays Premier League
Saturday 24th August 2019
Selhurst Park

Crystal Palace 1 - 5 West Brom
Rodriguez (1'), Kondogbia (12'), Soto (20', 69'), Doria (49')

MOTM:
Doria

If we carry form like this away from home then we will be turning alot of draws we had last year into wins, it's a harsh welcoming into the Premier League to Crystal Palace and they've got to accept when they come up against teams like us they will sometimes get a absolute battering.

Hi mate, how are you finding all these amazing regens?! the ones i see are never this good and you always seem to get them cheap too!

I have scouts all over the world from different regions bringing me reports all the time, I also set up feeder clubs to gain knowledge in other countries and then the youth intake days you pick up the future world class players for less than 2m.

Barclays Premier League
Monday 2nd September 2019

The Hawthorns

West Brom 2 - 1 Newcastle
O.G. (12'), Soto (20')

MOTM: Doria

A win made much more complicated than it should have been, we still pick up a win despite being at our best and that is an early sign of champions qualities. We won't rest on this though as in the past we have been punished with draws.

Barclays Premier League
Saturday 14th September 2019

Madejski Stadium

Reading 1 - 2 West Brom
Gabriel Barbosa (30'), Silva (87')

MOTM: Jed Wallace

Yet another sub-standard performance which we escaped with due to a late goal. If we carry on like this a team will make the uttermost of our sloppiness and be able to pick up points against us.

UEFA Champions League Group Stage
Tuesday 17th September 2019

BATE stadium

Bate Borisov 0 - 3 West Brom
Gabriel Barbosa (31'), Rodriguez (39'), Zouma (58')

MOTM: Kurt Zouma

We took Borisov apart today which was expected and they will hope to just pick up some points along the way in the Champions League but the revenue the Champions League brings in for a team like them is unbelievable and they will just cherish playing at this stage.

Capital One Cup Third Round
Tuesday 24th September 2019

AMEX Stadium

Brighton 0 - 2 West Brom
Gabriel Barbosa (7', 18')

MOTM: Gabriel Barbosa

A fairly comfortable victory in a match we dominated, a fielded team was mixed with youth and fringe players which managed to keep a clean sheet and place two past a weak Brighton team. We will accept it and push on into the next round.

Capital One Cup Fourth Round draw:
Portsmouth v West Brom

Barclays Premier League
Saturday 28th September 2019

The Hawthorns

West Brom 1 - 1 Swansea
Salah (54')

MOTM: Tiago Llore

It was coming, I explained to the lads in the past two games if we don't pick our performances up we will drop points to sloppy teams and so it proved today against a newly promoted Swansea team who we should of took to the dry cleaners. I am angry and disappointed at the result.

It really hurts to lose points at home, it's still acceptable away.

Loved this story, Read it right through, Honestly thought Will Hughes would have cost you the CL thankfully he never scored although it never done you much favours. Good luck in getting that CL before going to madrid!
