Winning trophys dosen't make you a good manager. Harry Redknapp has only won 1 trophy in his managirial carear and he is lauded.

I'm sorry, WHAT?!?!?! At big clubs it is about winning trophies and that is what he did. Redknapp was lauded for the work done with smaller clubs than Liverpool where it isn't all about winning this, that and the other.
To Be fair Alex, i think what he meant was, That good managers dont always win trophies and winning trophies doesn't ALWAYS make you a good manager. Some times you win Trophies because of the team you have. Scolari is an prime example of this, He won the world cup with a brazillian side i think my cat could of won it with.... But he still won the world cup, Doesn't make him a world beater.
But i think Pool feel they have a given right to be winning trophys and you don't you were a sensational side 20-30 years ago but not since. Maybe the fact is you have had your turn and now its the turn of other sides.
Agreed. Shame he hasn't had that team to choose from for most of the season and has been playing youth players to cover for the injuries. Odd that the Inter fans in Italy are mainly behind him though. Weird, eh?

Andersred did a good blog piece on Inter some months back - financials there are appalling and that squad does need rejuvenating as it's aging fast. But Moratti is adamant that it's fine and Mourinho has left him a lasting legacy as opposed to buying a team of expensive and aging 'stars' who are heading downhill fast (cf Chelsea).That's a good point, but then you can look at the other end of the spectrum and say that Rafa won the Champions League with the likes of Djimi Traore, Smicer, Baros etc etc... Which lets be honest, was an appalling squad to have.
No one has a right to be winning trophies at all, but everyone has a right to challenge for them. When you see the squad we have, it should at least be challenging for an FA Cup of something like that, most Liverpool fans would love to just challenge for a few trophies in a season nowadays.
That man is unbelievable mate, I remember a baffling 2 hour press conference he held pointing out the 'luck' the top 2 clubs get in games in the premier leagues and referee's apparent favouritism
When I read that quote yesterday I thought I must be seeing things, he has a pretty big squad and I'm sure if they were doing better Moratti would free up some funds but as it is its just unfortunate. People dont realise Inter still owe Portsmouth 10 million pounds of fee's that are actually payable right now in one sum hence the court battle....
So Inter are hardly swimming in cash, and Muntari still isnt getting game time even though he cost around 15 million. Benitez needs to go home to spain because I think that Italian sun must have gone to his bald crazy head
But i don't think your side is that good. You have 2 world class players going on current times Reina and Gerrard and the rest are average at best. At the moment Arsenal, Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea and Spurs all in my eyes have a better squad than Liverpool so will a new manager make you leap that many teams?? I dout it very much.

Also @the person who posted what Benitez has won.
When you compare it to the managers round him at the time of winning his competitions his record is awful. He won minor cups really apart from the Champs League
A year can make a big difference when you're 32. To Rafa's credit though, he has helped the development of youngsters like Biabany and Coutinho.
He won the spanish league and broke the stranglehold of Real Madrid and Barca :S Really not sure how you can say that.

Plus Valencia had a really good squad then.
Benitez ruins Liverpool then does the same to Inter...do you not see the pattern that he is a **** manager.
