Rafael Benitez sacked as Internazionale coach

Benitez to Rovers. Bristol that is (A)

On a serious note, with Inter's squad, my Nan could manage them ! How has he managed to under perform ? XD
Your nans probably got more marbles than him mate
The key word I'm picking up in all these posts is he was a great manager. Somewhere between finishing 2nd a few years ago and now he seems to have literally lost his frecking mind.
I watched the Inter games this season on ESPN and his football is less exciting than Roy's at Liverpool. no joke his best player this year has been Dejan Stankovic who is a good player but in that team/squad you would not say hes the best. I mean under Benitez where has Maicon been? Where has Lucio's form gone?
The same place as Benitez's career...down the pan XD

Martin o'neil blackburn
alan stubbs motherwell
fabio capello inter ?

Rafa Benitez vs Jose Mourinho first 15games in charge of Inter Milan

Rafa Benitez Jose Mourinho
15 - Games - 15
6 - Won - 11
5 -Drawn - 3
4 - Lost - 1
40 - Win% - 73.3

And this is with the same squad with the exception of Balotelli.

Benitez' agent says he has not been sacked.
All this speculation for nothing :(

As much as I hate rafa, he's not a bad manager. Jose Mourinho is a one off charismatic genius in football management and Rafa only looks so bad because he's following someone like him. If Benitez has been sacked, he could walk back into the Premier League and pick up any team and really push on, he's not a bad manager, he is infact a very good one.

Don't think Rafas the best at adapting to other squads, he needs time to build a team that play the way he wants to play and once that happens he will do well, its just about getting the time and support he needs.

A United fan talking sense, jeeeeeesus Christmas has come early.

The main reason for the bad run of form is because he's been without key players for long periods.

He's had no Milito for a while. No Samuel. No Motta. Loads of key players that would usually start not available hence the rise of Biabiany and Coutinho. Sneijder has also been injured for parts of the season.

But still, a poor start to the season.

Although for some reason he wasn't using Milito at the start when he was fit oO)

Edit *Eto has been scoring well though*

Hasn't done well, any manager would struggle with the injuries he has had though. Would love him back at Liverpool (I know I will be slated for this :)).

He said he'd be back some day.

Mr Hodgson, you are the weakest link, goodbye.

Don't see how someone could slate you, he has been our best manager since we've been in the Premier league. One Champions League, and FA Cup, another CL Final, closest we've ever been to winning the Premier League [Normally 86 points would suffice]. I don't care what people say, he is a good manager, he should just get a little PR training thouugh XD

Even if he is a good manager compared to other managers like SAF & Mourinho he is not good enough

I was speaking about certain rival members, I think you know who ;)

Winning trophys dosen't make you a good manager. Harry Redknapp has only won 1 trophy in his managirial carear and he is lauded.

I know what u mean, but I dont agree. Its better one title than no title. History remembers you by the titles u have won, not for being just a good manager. Besides, if you win a couple of titles it means that you are not that bad either.

Someone mentioned Scolari, but he did win some titles back in Brazil.

He had to sell players in order to bring others in at Liverpool. Yet he won us a European Cup and took us to another final 2 years later. Came within touching distance of the Premier League, won and FA Cup and gave us some of our greatest moments since Dalglish was at the club.

where do people rate Rafa in term of European managers currently because he wouldnt be high on my list, i can think of 5 managers just from the top of my head.

1. Alex Ferguson
2. Jose Mourinho
3. Pep Guardiola
4. Carlo Ancelotti
5. Arsene Wenger

People on here saying 'oh my nan could manage Inter' makes me laugh, the bigger the club the bigger the ego's which makes the job harder.

Look at Mancini for example, he's got all the money he could want in the world yet he cant buy morale.

I rate him above Ancelotti, that's just my opinion though. I'd also rate Wenger above Ancelotti. Fact is, each of those managers have had a good club and owners to work with, Rafa never got it at Liverpool, and got no money on top of that. The squad he inherited was fairly average with few exceptions. At Valencia he built a good team and the owners were decent, he beat one of the best Real Madrid teams to the title and won other trophies there.

Before you say, I know he has a quality squad at Inter, but he has only been there for a few months and has had a large amount of injuries.

We're not a top 5 club at the moment.

Also, would probably put mine's like;

1. SAF
2. Jose Mourinho
3. Arsene Wenger
4. Guus Hiddink
5. Del Bosque
