Red Dead Redemption

bought it on ebay for 30 quid, very excited for its arrival!

Yeah, this defo one of the, if not THE best game I have ever played. Can't enough of it. :)

Just completed the main story and now working on the challenges, done sharpshooter and treasure hunter and half way through the other two. BTW, does anyone know how on earth you are supposed to kill two cougars with a pitiful knife???

Well there are 3 ways I know of.

Horseback - You can swipe your knife while riding a horse but the cougars/bears may kill your horse.

Weaken - A few bullets from a pistol/revolver is enough to weaken cougars/bears so they begin to flee, give chase with your knife.

Hardcore - Roll away (LT + X on 360) as the cougar/bear pounces and swipe him a few times.
 
89% complete =D Just the remaining stranger missions to do. Does anyone know if there is any unexpected thing you need to do to get 100% completion, e.g. buy all horses, kill one of every animal?
 
is red dead redemtion only for xbox360 or ps3 my mate has a ps3 and i wasent sure pm please thanks.
 
anyone got a verdict on whether I should buy this for 35 quid for PS3 or not? Is it as good as people say?
 
story is ok, graphics are pretty good, its very very easy, as it auto-aims and there are a lot of glitches. you either love it or hate it. its basically GTA in the Wild West
 
anyone played the new dlc? its quite good and adds to the replayability of the game
 
i saw an advert for the new downloadable content for this and it looks hilarious, it is basically a plague that brings back the dead, it looks quality and is only $9.99 so about 6-8 quid. its out the 26th October and thought you might like to know

That looks pretty sweet, definitely getting it.
 
Yeah I think it's a really good game, not played it for a few weeks due to other releases but I didn't do many missions on it, spent most my time in the saloon playing poker...
 
Good thing I didnt trade it in, in the end. Im looking forward to this DLC.
 
Just completed this 100% amazing game. Going to ge Undead Nightmare now if anybody wants a game online sometime add my on PSN Div_Muzza
 
Gah just bought this game looked so promising, single player has been far to easy so far zzz, prefer GTA can run around steal cars n kill **** without thinking about honor and ****. Quite fun though none the less! Multiplayer is pants though, very pants. Really dislike the angle/shooting mechanics like with GTA looks fun but in reality its really dull woulda thought more effort would go in to it like with FPS contenders.
 
Love this game, but I'm a massive fan of westerns so am probably biased... Pretty sure it also cost me a grade on average at GCSE as well.
