STEADY START FOR BULLS
YuPS8NDf_400x400.jpg

Hereford have made a steady start to life in League 1 despite their early League Cup exit to MK Dons

An opening day draw at home to Portsmouth was followed by defeat at Walsall, making it three games before the Bulls found their first win at this level with the 1-0 home defeat of Rotherham

This was followed by the League Cup defeat, but this seemed to spur the Bulls on as they went unbeaten in the next three, beating Southend 4-0 at Edgar Street

They came back down to Earth with a bump however, with a 2-1 home defeat to MK Dons in the league leaving them 13th

"STATEMENT OF INTENT"
HFCvWest035-1-820x400.jpg

Bulls boss Matthew Hawkins has labelled his side's unbeaten September a "statement of intent"

The Bulls went 6 games unbeaten this month, adding to their steady August to leave them 2nd in the league

The run included 3 draws and 3 wins, with Hereford dispatching of Leyton Orient, Forest Green and Carlisle with ease

Bulls heroes Laycock and Coulton have continued their good form from last season amid interest sides such as Leicester City and Sheffield United

BULLS STILL IN PLAYOFF HUNT
0057.jpg

Today's 2-1 victory away to Coventry City has ensured Hereford remain in the playoff picture despite a relatively poor October

The Bulls have lost 3 of their 5 league games this month, succumbing to one goal defeats against Luton, Doncaster and Oldham

However a 4-0 victory over Barnsley at Oakwell and today's 2-1 win away in the Midlands has gone some way to rectifying the slump, leaving the Bulls 6th in the league

It is hoped the completed expansion of Edgar Street, which now has a capacity of 6,859 will help the Bulls' promotion push through revenue and an improved atmosphere

HEREFORD 4
Laycock (10), Robertson (15, 90+3), Kelly (22)

Hereford's fantastic front three put on a show today as the promotion chasers put fellow League 1 side Fleetwood Town to the sword

Hereford, backed by almost 500 away fans, put their hosts to the sword with some free flowing attacking play from the youngest team in the Football League

The Bulls, who sit 7th in League 1, will face MK Dons in the next round

ANOTHER UNBEATEN MONTH FOR BULLS!
YuPS8NDf_400x400.jpg

Another unbeaten month for Hereford as they show they belong in League 1, or maybe even higher

The Bulls played 5 games this December and conceded just 1 goal, that coming in the 1-1 draw away to Portsmouth

The Bulls managed three 1-0 wins this month, these coming against Gillingham and Bradford in the league and MK Dons in the FA Cup

The Bulls also managed a 2-0 win over Walsall in the league, leaving them 6th in League 1

TWO IN ONE OUT
YuPS8NDf_400x400.jpg

It was two in one out on deadline day at Edgar Street as Hereford attempt to bolster their squad for a promotion push

The one to go was Louie Molden who joined West Brom for £65,000 after 88 games for the club

The first to come in was midfielder Martin Parr who's joined from Crewe Alexandra for £140,000

He was swiftly followed by another midfielder in Gary Donnelly from QPR for £475,000 as the Bulls, who were knocked out of the FA Cup Fourth Round on penalties away to Bournemouth

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY
YuPS8NDf_400x400.jpg

A very happy Valentine's day for the Bulls as they finish February back in the playoff spots

The Bulls managed yet another unbeaten month as they won three and drew one of their four league games

The Bulls managed two away wins, 2-0 away at Fleetwood and 2-1 at Forest Green, as well as one home win as they beat Plymouth 2-0 in front of almost 6,000 at Edgar Street

The only blip came with a 1-1 draw at home to fellow promotion hopefuls Leyton Orient leaving Hereford 6th in the table

UNBEATABLES!
YuPS8NDf_400x400.jpg

March is over and its yet another unbeaten month for the rampant Hereford as they are now 10 games unbeaten in League 1

They went 5 games without a loss this March, with 4 wins and a solitary draw coming away at Doncaster Rovers

This was sandwiched by victories as the Bulls kicked off the month with back-to-back 3-1 victories over lowly Carlisle and league leaders Luton Town, with Hereford boy Peter Harrop grabbing the winner in both

This was followed by the draw at Doncaster before two more wins with a 2-1 home win against Barnsley and a 3-1 win away at Oldham Athletic

BULLS FORCED TO SETTLE FOR PLAYOFFS
YuPS8NDf_400x400.jpg

Despite their spectacular run in the second half of the league season Hereford have had to settle for 5th place in Sky Bet League 1

This is due in part to their final four games in which they picked up just 3 points

The month started brightly with 1-0 wins over Coventry City and Ipswich Town, however a stoppage time equaliser for Mansfield Town followed by a disappointing 2-2 draw with Peterborough seems to have knocked the stuffing out of the Bulls as they went on to score blanks in their final two league games

These were a 2-0 defeat to Gillingham and an equally disappointing 0-0 draw at home to Bradford City in front of 6,859 at Edgar Street

Hereford now need to dust themselves down ahead of Ipswich's visit on Wednesday

LIMB FROM LIMB
YuPS8NDf_400x400.jpg

Hereford's fantastic promotion winning side has been torn apart already this transfer window, with 3 key figures leaving the club

First to leave was midfielder Liam Coyle who joined Middlesbrough for £400,000

Coyle, 23, made 64 league appearances for the Bulls after joining on a free transfer from Liverpool and was part of two promotion winning sides

Second to go was another midfielder in American star Jonathan Coulton

The American youth international, born in Stoke-on-Trent, made 68 league appearances for Hereford and scored 5 goals after joining from Crewe Alexandra for £200,000

The 20 year old has joined Premier League side Leicester City for £3m

Last to leave was last season's top scorer Craig Laycock has he left to join Newcastle United for £6m

Having joined from Aldershot for £275,000 and went on to be the top scorer in both of his seasons at the club, scoring 42 goals in 104 games all competitions

Hereford to Newcastle is a well trodden path, with Laycock going on to join ex-Bulls Gabriel Tanko and Rowan Walsh on Tyneside

We've brought in just under £10m, did we reinvest?

THOMAS McCORMICK - RAITH ROVERS - £9,750

DAVID HAMILTON - LIMERICK - £40,000
