A real legend, will be missed throughout football all over . A true legend

What a player. He had it all. A fantastic striker, nobody could stop him on his day..

He could shake off a whole defence and score in seconds, The best finisher I have seen in my lifetime
Fully deserving of his World player of the year titles

Kicked, pulled, kneed nothing stopped him haha. One of the best players of my generation. Unstoppable 96/97.

Anyone got a screen shot of him in FM in his prime? I cant seem to find my harddrive with old fm saves.

pity he couldnt hold his form from 96/97 season for a few years, truly amazing player but was overweight for most of career.

Probably, the most important goal I've seen in my life, I was 6, and I was so proud and happy that moment, felling on the top of the world. He played for Corinthians, but, well, no one is perfect :P Obrigado Ronaldo!

i know this would never happen but would love the brazilian federation to retire the number 9 shirt as a mark of respect for what ronaldo has down for brazilian football throughout his career as there is no question he is the best striker of our life time and a all tiem great. For those people who said larsson was great and just as good i am a celtic fan i know that is just stupid. Ronaldo on his day would make anyone look stupid no mater who the defender.

Absolute legend to grace the football world. Had me convinced to watch football when I saw him tore Germany apart in the 2002 world cup final. Will miss him at his prime :@

Not only one of the best players to walk the earth but also one of the bravest. The world cup final v france, he played despite having a seisure the night before.
A legend. Will be missed

In my eyes he will always be one of the best strikers ever, a true legend. Ronaldo when in form could have beaten every defender, scored a goal against every goalkeeper, and done magic against absolutely any team...

I'm very sad about his decision, but what can ya do...

In FIT, the best player i`ve ever seen.
He didn`t need a entire team playing to assist him (like messi or cr7) to score nearly every match.
