Him ans Bergkamp are the two best strikers of the generation, in my opinion. Great player, deserved some more trophies, and really wish he had played in the Premier League.

I was born in 1994 so I don't remember him getting injured but how can some people say he would be better if he hadn't got the injury? If he didn't get fat he would still be there.I remember him in 2002 World Cup I loved him so much I cheered even when he scored against Turkey in the Semi finals.
:'(
Brazil national team is nothing like it used to be now.

Henrik Larsson?.. Lol

To even put him in the same sentence as them is odd, nevermind to regard his as one of the greatest strikers of all time

i dont think its silly.. henrik larsson had an eye for football few others had, a nose for goal also few others had.. henrik larsson is for me a top 5 striker ever.

So you think he's better than Pele, Di Stefano, Puskas, Romario, Ronaldo, Batistuta, Bobby Charlton, Zamorano etc.. no chance.

Legend and will be forever missed in the game.
Hope becomes a coach not manager of brazil as someone else stated like Maradona who is embarrassing lol

Charlton was a midfielder wasn't he?

Although Larsson wouldn't be part of the world elite, he was certainly one of the best strikers of the last 20 years, his record is better than 1 goal in every 2 games.

Ronaldo is certainly one of the best strikers ever though, his strength, speed and power was unplayable at times.

Yeah no way anyone in the past 20 years matched Ronaldo...I don't think Henry was half the player he was.

Charlton was a midfielder but often played up front.. Hence him being our highest goalscorer ever and England's all time goalscorer.

My idol. Probably the best striker of MY generation, will be sorely missed in the game.
Amazing player.
The one and only R9!

You sure?

Agree with everyone wondering why he has been called "fat ron" whilst "sissy ron" get the real Ronaldo title :S

I mean with your point about he left it late to retire. I think he should have retired a while ago, He will still be remembered however think he would have got a bigger send off if he was at the likes of Ac Milan and his final game could be televised for many to watch.

He is simply phenomenal. The greatest striker the world has ever seen. thank you ronaldo for your goals. I enjoyed every I saw from you

Top 5? That seems a little high, I'd class people like Roger Hunt, Di Stefano, Pele, Ronaldo, Christian Vieri, Jurgen Klinsman, Romario, Van Nistlerooy, Gerd Muller, and **** even Shevchenko above him. No doubt he was a good striker, but to class him alongside the Ronaldo's and Batistuta's, to me, is ridiculous.

Ronaldo was one of a kind. You won't find many players like him.

all i can say this guy was amazing in his prime it was a shame we did not get to see him play in england
i can still remember the goal he scored in 1998 uefa cup final like it was yesterday true ledgend of the game

He is a Ledgend of the game by far sad day scored some epic goals in his career

Brilliant. If you had asked me the one player I wish was English in his prime of the last 10 years, I would have said Ronaldo. Mind, we probably would have managed to bring him down to our level.
