We won't loan him out yet, if at all. Wenger always prefers to keep his young players at the club so they gel with other players etc. Also, since he's japanese there wouldn't be much point in loaning him out to another English club, he needs to learn English (if he hasn't already) and gel etc. I expect he'll just play the season in the Reserves and Wenger and Banfield, Brady etc will talk at the end of the season about whether he's ready for first team action, whether that be cup competitions or something else.

I think he's a bit young to be loaned at the moment, and unless he's Wilshere quality he probably won't get first team action for the next couple of seasons as I agree with you; there are so many differences in culture/language which he will need to adapt to, can see him being loaned out in a couple of years times, but it is a little early to say, but that's just my opinion :)

Can't see him making it at Arsenal to be honest. You have a lot of quality young strikers (Vela, Bendtner, JET, Walcott).

I think he'll probably be one of those youngsters that signs then nobody hears about him again until he leaves 2/3 years later.

At least they can make a profit if that happens though.

lol.

Vela is ***** tbh, Bendtner and Walcott are hardly "young" by Arsenal standards anymore, and aren't even that good. He can also play on the wing or behind the striker. JET is a completely different player, so it's good to have both. Btw, just to add to that, Wellington Silva is coming in January - A brazilian ST, although that might fall through due to Work Permit problems.

People coming on here saying he's going to be 'a flop' without even seeing him make me laugh, atleast look at the lad and see what he's got first.

Ryo is a very promising talent, hes both footed and very skillful, with accelaration which made me think of Walcott.

See for yourself ;)

He's a bit selfish and his position he stands in is more of and AMC than a ST.

I think it's common knowledge that Ryo actually isn't a striker, seen many videos of him and he's always down the wing. Looks like a Henry type player when he was playing in France then Italy i think Wenger will turn him into a striker though.

Looks pretty good from that video. Does look a little selfish, but I'm sure Wenger will knock that out of him ;)

Scored two very good goals, Leo Messi style ;)

I think it shows he's versatile, he spends time up front, on the wings and in the middle.

The problem with this video is that it looks to be filmed at probably some Japanese youth game, so even if he absolutely rapes them all it isn't at all representative of how he may perform in the Premier League.

True, as I'm half-Asian, as much as I dislike Arsenal and Wenger I hope this kid does well. Asian pride!

he's not in fm right?
In fm 2012, his pace/acceleration will be about 18, from what I see in video

In that case my pace and acceleration should be around 20, because I can make a video showing me running rings round disabled people.

Yes, he looks quick in the clips, but we've no idea about the standard. It'll be good to see him play in a few reserve games to see what he's like at that level.

why the **** ? :S

Another random youngster

Just because you haven't heard of him, doesn't make him random. We're not just going to buy Macheda and Rodwell and Sturridge and Lukaku! Wenger has obviously done his homework and he's been properly scouted i'm sure. He's not random, just japanese!

Yes but we need players for 2011 not 2021

He's not 12 Calum... He's like 18. Every club buys young players all the time, Man City just signed Assulin for example... This was also agreed a long time ago but he's had a broken leg or summat.

He'll be ready in a couple of years and until then we can monitor his progress.
