Liverpool continue their assault on the Premier League by seeing off Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in a result that costs Hiddink his job. Arsenal return to some form by thrashing West Brom, Watford stun City, Southampton edge past West Ham and Leicester beat Crystal Palace as the leaders keep pace. Man United are held by a stubborn Swansea, while Newcastle win the Tyne-Wear derby.

This season is getting stranger and stranger as once again the teams at the top seem determined to throw it away. Norwich hold United and Swansea hold Liverpool, while Watford lose to Everton, Southampton lose out to City. Leicester are the big winners, taking a precious win over Stoke. Chelsea are held by West Brom, while a mention has to be given to Everton who are in fine form all of a sudden.

A better week for our top sides, as United win a crunch game against Leicester, Arsenal beat Tottenham in a similarly important game and Liverpool grind out a win over Norwich. Watford beat Aston Villa while Everton hold Southampton. Stoke now seem to be in real trouble with a poor loss against Palace while Swansea draw yet again.

I'm just going to stop trying to predict any of these results! A previously poor Stoke side suddenly pull out a performance to beat leaders Liverpool, but United cant take advantage as they drop points to Palace. Arsenal pull out a priceless win against Watford as they make it three wins on the bounce to surge back into contention, while Southampton draw yet again to Newcastle. Wins as well for Leicester, Spurs and Chelsea as they continue to climb the table but City are held by Everton

Its boxing day! and also the halfway point of our season! Arsenal make it four on the bounce by edging past Bournemouth which means they gain ground because United got thumped at home by Stoke! Liverpool go four points clear at the top thanks to a priceless win against Leicester, and Watford further cement their champions league placing by beating Newcastle. Saints return to some form by comfortable beating Villa while Norwich get a 2nd win in a row.

Five in a row for Arsenal! and all of a sudden they are just a single point off the lead! Liverpool lose to Stoke who make it three in a row, while it is United's turn for a mini crisis as they only draw with Palace. Southampton capitalise on plenty of dropped points by beating Newcastle, while City and Norwich both pick up wins to keep their impressive form up. Guess what, yes! another draw for Swansea! who hold Tottenham.

What a season it has been so far. Liverpool lead the way, followed closely by Arsenal, who were 9th just a month ago. Southampton lead the mini-battle between them, Leicester and Watford, while United have dropped out of the top four and are now just a single point ahead of City. Even Chelsea who have been under-performing are only two wins off of Champions league football. Stoke and Norwich have now pulled comfortably into mid-table and Swansea are off the bottom with their remarkable 12 draws!
League Cup

A really tasty looking final four left in the League Cup, as there is disappointment for the smaller teams.

All four English teams qualify from the Champions League! Arsenal recover to top their group, as do United and City. Chelsea finish 2nd behind Roma.

Some really tough draws for our sides in the knockout rounds, with Chelsea having to face Bayern, Arsenal being draw against Barcelona, Man City facing off against PSG and United with the easiest draw will face Wolfsburg.

West Ham can only draw with Dnipro which means they dont make the cut, but Tottenham and Liverpool both complete the groups with perfect records, and Southampton comfortably make the cut.

An excellent draw for Liverpool as they face Brugge, while Tottenham and Southampton have tough draws, facing Sporting and Fiorentina respectively.
