Manchester City Season Update

September

After a tough August, September had relatively easy fixtures and the Citizens made sure it counts. 16 goals scored in 6 games. 5 wins and 1 unexpected loss to Norwich.

Standout Game:
Citizens 3 - 1 PSV
City ruled from minute 1 to last minute. 26 attempts on goal and 60% possession tells the whole story. Aguero scored 2 goals to take his tally to 5 goals in 2 games.

Game to Forget:
Norwich 2 - 1 Citizens
This should have been a walk in the park given Norwich were completely out of sorts coming into this game. However, we ended up in the losing side and this means we are already some way behind the leaders and have some ground to cover in the league.

Manchester City Season Update

October
October was bittersweet for the Citizens as we celebrated Derby win but crashed out of League Cup. Keeping clean sheets has become a problem as we have managed only 3 so far.

Standout Game
Citizens 2 - 1 Noisy Neighbours
After Aguero was ruled out for 4 weeks, it was left to the likes of Silva and Sterling to raise up their games. And raise they did. They might be ahead of us in the table but this will give fans something to cheer for. And guess what....

The Don was watching this one. He happened to be in the city for some reason. No one knows what the reason was though.

Game to Forget:
Liverpool 3 - 1 Citizens
Liverpool took their chances. That was the only difference. Aguero's absence up front and Kompany's at the back is showing now. They have to get fit very soon if we stand any chance to win the league.

Raheem Sterling stepped up in absence of Aguero and is slowly justifying the price tag. It did help that he scored the winning goal against the Red Devils.

Manchester City Transfer List:

Jesus Navas: 15 Million. Is unlikely to challenge for places in the City squad.
Fernando: 15 Million. Available at a very reasonable price.
Fernandinho: 20 Million. He is still playing games, but can be let go at 20 million.

Others might be available if the price is right.

Harvey Specter has made an announcement to Aston Villa fans, stating he isnt planning any changes in this transfer window.

"We are doing well, fighting, way above the expectations. If it isnt broken, dont fix it. We will see come end of season whats next for us."

Jordan frustrated!

After the good progress in September, the past couple of months have been frustrating...a bunch of draws and losses in among wins have limited our progress up the table! A draw with Swansea in December is just one example of us not being able to kill off a game! This will need to be addressed this month.

Although it has been a frustrating first half of the season, I want to make it clear to the fans, media and other chairmen that Pochettino is still the man to lead us forward is not considered under any more pressure than before the start to the season!

Talking points so far:

-Failure to kill off teams who are consider 'smaller' clubs is preventing us climbing the table.

-Harry Kane has only scored a couple of games with the majority of goals coming from midfield, he will need to step it up in the coming months if we stand a chance of top 4!

-Hugo Lloris currently tops the clean sheets which shows the strength of our defence and of course the quality of our goalkeeper.

Transfer List

At the moment we aren't looking to sell anyone in particular and wouldn't entertain offers for any of the starting 11 (unless crazy bids are made..but not advised).

We are looking for another striker this month...A target man or complete forward would be great...any chairman looking to sell PM me!

REVIEW
Leicester did very well in the last month winning a few and losing a few they may not be in the top 4 but Vardy and Okasaki are striking the goals in.

NORWICH GAINING FIRE AS SEASON PROGRESSES

View attachment 162461
After a less than auspicious start in the Month of August, Norwich have gone strength from strength as they have achieved 24 points at the end of the year, only 16 away from the Holy Grail that is 40 points required for survival.

A marked transformation in the team has been seen in their doggedness as they just refuse to lose, having lost only 4 times in Premier League in the past 5 months and lost once in the Capital One Cup. They have performed well against the big clubs, found results from no where and did everything that is necessary to survive. Fans and club owners are both confident that the club will beat the drop with only further 16 points required from the next 18 odd matches.

Sara Lance confirmed though that there will be no dealings in the market as the club is running in the red due to high wages and the owners are looking to curb it. High quality players have meant high wages and it might see the spending confined for a few years as they establish themselves in the Premier League. She also said that the club is looking to be shrewd in the market instead of throwing the cash and will look for young players who need a place where they can grow and become legends for the Canaries. She ear marked the likes of Barbosa, Maia and Baezoar as the future of the club after the departure of Redmond.

The assassin also expressed her delight on the form of Mulumbu, Howson and Jonas. As some of the most senior players in the club, they have dragged the club through certain matches and did what is expected of them. She refused to comment about the screams heard from the ground post august but smiled when said results are being seen of whatever went down there.

Just for the sake of players and the coaches well being, I hope Norwich never under perform!

Will be interesting to see if teams have been active this window!

Think most teams, myself included had their hands tied this window due to being in negative balance, I didn't buy anyone because of this
