The midfielder suspisiously got his 1 and only Argentina cap a month after i signed him but after that i have no complaints. goals, assists and man of the matches. Cant wait to see how he gets on next season!
SPL Review
Celtic - 7/10 - The League was won with ease and reaching the Champions League last 16. Failure to win either of the cups comes as a huge shock even with a further digression in talent. They did bring in ?35m in sales but yet again total failure to reinvest in the squad and a record 6 players loaned into the side to cover these gap. For gods sake Laudrup im really starting to dislike you!
Dundee Utd - 8/10 - By a mile Uniteds best season since the mid 80's. 2nd behind the dominant Celtic side, A Scottish Cup win and some pride winning results in the Champions League Group.
St Mirren - 7/10 - St Mirren refreshed there squad last summer after 2 years falling back down the table and this year there back to 3rd, the best they should be expected to do. Knocked out of both Cups by the Old Firm. No Closer to reaching the Europa League Group phase
Hearts - 9/10 - If there was a few less loan players Hearts would have scored 10/10. There rise back to the top 4 in mind blowing but have managed the squad perfectly following my buy low sell high mantra. 2 Quarter Final appearances in the cup shows the league was no fluke!
Aberdeen - 5/10 - A big clear out over the summer and a few new forwards did not take Aberdeen forward as i hoped of expected. Maybe next time!
Hibs - 6/10 - Steve Clarke did well to guide Hibs back into the top 6. This is usually where they sell some players and fall backwards. We'll see!
Inverness CT - 5/10 - Only Penaltys stopped Inverness taking home the League Cup home. They got revenge over Rangers by beating them to 7th in the league but very small consolation as they dropped back into the bottom half leading to a change of manager.
Rangers - 5/10 - These season was saved by winning there 1st major trophy since going bust. League was a total bust. Only just getting past 50 points and ending in the bottom half. How McCoist is keeping his job is beyond me.
St Johnstone - 5/10 - The Saints had there best season in years, 1st time in 3 seasons they havent gone into the final day with relegation issues.
Motherwell - 3/10 - Being generous with a 4. Spent most the season fighting for survival after some good early signs under Gatting he lost his job at the end of the season. Lots of work needed here.
Ross County - 4/10 - County will have to come through a playoff to secure a 8th season in the SPL. This was always going to be a impossible season after loosing there star midfielder.
Hamilton - 5/10 - The only SPL side to loose a relegation playoff were very unlucky to loose there SPL status. Never out of the fight at any stage to go out on goal difference is a huge shame. Queen of the South will take there spot.

Towards the end of my time at Celtic i wondered if Paco was going to turn out to be a bust. Almost a goal a game later i think we've seen otherwise

Only Henrik Larsson and Kris Boyd have scored more during a single season.
Young Player of the year
Jan Zeman
Jan burst into the side this season with lots of goals and assists. Might he have done enough to take the left wing position from last years winner Niko Spoljaric?
Manager of the Year
Darran Donald
for the 5th time in 6 years i take my trophy home although i wouldnt have been angry had Locke won it with Hearts.
