Sir Alex Ferguson: The Career.

January 2018

AIN'T NO STOPPING US NOW!

3-0 v Hearts (h)

4-0 v Dunfermline (a)

4-1 v Partick Thistle (a) - Scottish Cup 4th Rnd

1-1 v Celtic (a)

3-0 v Dundee Utd

We opened up a huge 11 point lead at the top of the SPL. Only a massive implosion can stop us now surely. The lead could even have been largely as we were very unlucky not to beat Celtic as well. The Scottish Cup ad Europa League are just round the corner as well. Hopefully we can ****** a league and cup double.

On a side note, several English Premier League managers lost their jobs, including Tottenham and Everton. I was strongly linked with all clubs and even had to deny interest in them at press conferences. Thankfully the English clubs are noticing me. Should be among the favourites the next time the Utd job comes up.

CAN FERGIE'S DONS BE CAUGHT??

5-1 v Hamilton (a)

3-1 v St Johnstone (h) - Scottish Cup 5th Rnd

1-0 v St Johnstone (h)

4-0 v Steau (a) - Europa League 1st Knockout Rnd 1st Leg

1-2 v Hibs (a)

Even despite the defeat to Hibs, who appear to be a bogey team for us, we stretched our lead to 12 points. Progress in the Scottish Cup and a 4-0 first leg win over Steau sets us up for progress in the cups.

BRAVE DONS BOW OUT!

4-2 v Steau (h) - Europa League First Knockout Rnd 2nd Led (AGG:8-2)

4-0 v Raith (h)

4-1 v Hamilton (a) - Scottish Cup Qtr Final

1-1 v Rapid Bucharest (a) - Europa League 2nd Knockout Rnd 1st Leg

4-3 v Rangers (a)

2-2 v Rapid Bucharest (h) - Europa League 2nd Knockout Rnd 2nd Leg (AGG: 3-3a)

3-1 v Kilmarnock

Our European adventure is over after an away goals defeat to Rapid Bucharest. Whilst our run was good and boosted our UEFA coefficient I;m still disapoointed as we beat Rapid in the group stages and felt confident when drawing them.

Anyway, we progressed to the semi-final of the Scottish Cup, which we won last year, and maintained our 12 point lead at the top. Challenging us now are Dunfermline (owned by a wealthy tycoon). Celtic have slipped to 3rd and Rangers are a distant 4th. Could this be the end of the Old Firm dominance??

The usual suspect. At least a goal a game including a hat-trick against Steau. Tottenham have expressed an interest already. I fear many more clubs will come calling in the summer.

Boosting my reputation further I hope.

ABERDEEN CROWNED CHAMPIONS!!

4-3 v Dunfermline (n) - Scottish Cup Semi Final

2-1 v St Johnstone (h)

For the first time since a young Alex Ferguson in 1985 Aberdeen have been crowned champions of Scotland, and with 4 games to spare! A truly magnificent achievement considering the financial clout of the Old Firm and Dunfermline, who were taken over by a tycoon and once offered me the job with a £12m transfer kitty. Our record signing was a £750,000 goalkeeper!

We also won a classic cup semi final to set up a chance of a double where we face Kilmarnock who knocked out Celtic in the other semi final. We go into that final as favourites.

A truly fantastic season capped off with a deserved victory in the Scottish Cup final to seal a fantastic double! We remained unbeaten in our final 4 league games even though I rested most of our starting XI. Bodes well for the future!

His best season yet (and I fear his last!) The big boys of England are sniffing again. Even raising his value to £7.25m has not deterred them. Any bids around that value will be hard to turn down.

Runner-up

Roberto Di Florio

A loan signing from Tottenham, AND WHAT A LOAN SIGNING! He and McAusland tore the SPL to shreds. Unfortunately it looks like I might lose both players this summer.

Our League win guarantees us a place in the group stages of the Champions League next year with the obvious financial benefits. We've already invested £5.5m in our training facilities so hopefully when the day comes that I leave Aberdeen for Manchester United the club will be in a position to remain the dominant force in Scotland.

Season Eight - 2018/19

Aberdeen

Our run in Europe last season and securing a domestic double saw us shoot up the FIFA club rankings. Hopefully we can attract a better standard of player and hold onto out more influential players.

Major Transfers

With an increased budget of £4m I thought about improving the weak points of the team, namely the defensive areas. However our plans were disrupted by the forced sale of two great players, Paul McAusland (£7.25m to WBA) and Muhamed Hasanbegovic (£4.9m to Sunderland).

Both players were top notch SPL players but they wanted to leave and over £12m for the two of them is great business considering Hasanbegovic was signed on a free and McAusland came through the youth ranks. Money will be invested in players and training facilities.

1-1 v Celtic (h)

An almost flawless start to the season, stopped only by a late Celtic equaliser in or final game. A not-so-convincing win in our opening group game is slightly worrying considering home to CSKA is probably our easiest fixture. We'll compete as best we can nonetheless and come out of it with more TV/prize money and a better reputation.

As we head into December we hold a 1 point lead over Rangers but with two games in hand we should extend that. Balancing the squad between the SPL and Champions League is proving difficult. A lot of tired players!

Champions League Group F

With 1 game remaining we know a victory in our last game will guarantee qualification. Only the small matter of beating AC Milan!! lol

A sensational 14 goals this period including a couple of hattricks. Hopefully his goals fire us to successive SPL titles.

Best story on here! Keep it up, only a matter of time before United come calling, it'd be great if you managed to win a European competition with Aberdeen before leaving for United!

Cheers mate. I'll start to add a brief update of how Man Utd are doing so followers can know how close/far I'm away from possibly getting the job
