Won the olypic games with Spain under 23.
7-1 win in the final. Great tactic

Best tactic in fm15 by a mile, hope a new updated version comes out

I tweaked this tactic a bit, but then I just plugged the standard in again.. great results..
I think this tactic just became better as time went.. needs no tweaking

Great to have a good 4-2-3-1 my fav formation :)

what tactic are u usingsxmiller1971

Hi, I mainly use the home tactic, even for away matches. I am finding that the agressive aproach to team talks does help.

I do use the away every now and then for really tough away games and as with like Barcelona at home for example.

Hope that helps.

Going to run a holiday save from the third game of the 2018 World Cup whilst I sleep, just for kicks. Will be interesting to see the simulated results in a few years time.

I use version 15.2.1 from post #433 and then use the tweaks from Macca72 post #444 read also post #459

I am unbeaten in all tournament for 26 matches now using Real M

Merry Christmas
soooo, is this tweak still work wonders ? or u guys just stick to the original version from Wibe ?

Right, reckon I've nearly nailed it.

Forget about home and away for the time being. The home tactic was such a brilliant base to work from, I thought again (after a couple of frustrating draws away from home).

So, tweaks from above in home tactic (B2B, AM and remove offside).

Then when you are at home change philosophy to Fluid.

I then thought, if i am confident of the win, regardless of home / away, keep it the same. For games that are now important (cup finals / semi finals / away games to rivals / title contenders / some home games against the very elite like barca / real etc) just change the philosophy to Structured.

This was on the basis that I want less creative freedom in these games, and follow the roles.

Since this tweak I have beaten Bayern away 3-0, Liverpool in the FA Cup Semi 3-1. Give it a blast.
By "structured", u mean rigid is it ?

I hope macca72 read this, or anyone know well enough

Just about to try this tactic with Arsenal on my first season. Do you do any pre match prep? Def Positioning, Att Positioning?

Edit: Also, could I tweak the Centre Mid's? I see they're both attacking I haven't used it yet but any possible tweaks for CM's. One more thing - do you do any mid-game team talks?

Pre-season, high team cohesion (gen. training), rest before/after match both ticked (bar all way to left) and match tactics (match prep.). During season, I think it's the same except gen. training is high balanced and match prep. is att. movement. Assuming "mid-game team talks" is referring to touchline team talks, I personally use '(passionately) concentrate' at the start of each game and again when I'm winning. If I'm losing/drawing, I'll use '(passionately) encourage'. Repeat this in the second-half and then make your final touchline team talk on 75 mins: '(passionately) tighten up' if you're winning or '(passionately) push forward' if you're chasing a win/draw. You can also use '(assertively)' but I personally use '(passionately)'. Hope this helps!

How do you guys find the away version? The home version works brilliant for me, but the away version for me is very inconsistent.

I can beat Chelsea away, only to lose and draw against teams like Leicester and Stoke in the following weeks. :(

Are there any tweaks I should be aware of? Or has the Wibe added it into the OP? I tried to read through the last few pages, but still pretty confused.

The following tweaks can be found on pgs. 43 & 44, posts #430, #441 & #444, I don't think they've been included in the OP. As for the away tactic's inconsistency, I've just holidayed 2.5 seasons using just the home tactic, will attach screenshots to different quote below. Hope this helps:

I do think you have almost nailed it though mate.

1 tweak I have looked at, often you find the AI getting in behind the 2 midfielders, I changed one to be a B2B and it seems more solid, just as he starts a bit deeper but still gets forward.

EDIT: Remove "offside trap" also helps, I don't think with a counter mentality you are ever high enough up to play offside.
Ok, have found much, much more consistency with the following tweaks. Wibe, see what you think.

Remove offside trap for both home and away.

Home tactic, change one of the CM(a) to a Box to box. Also change Shadow Striker to AM(a). You get less goals but more assists, and your AF(a) scores more.

Away tactic. Change one of the CM(s) to a DLP(s), I usually change whichever one I had changed to B2B in the home tactic. Change the other CM(s) to be a Box to box. Also change the Shadow Striker to to a AM(a).
Right, reckon I've nearly nailed it.

End of tweaks.

i have to agree with the guy who said that the away tactic has been shaky for him
i tend to get the results in home games, but away is really not consistent - against lower ranked teams as well

I've just holidayed 2.5 seasons using just the home tactic, screenshots are two quotes below.

what is the filiter files for players and staff?

You can find the player/staff filters on the OP, below the tactic download links.

Going to run a holiday save from the third game of the 2018 World Cup whilst I sleep, just for kicks. Will be interesting to see the simulated results in a few years time.

Results of holidaying 2.5 seasons using only home tactic. Away: P76, L28, D17, W31. Home: P73, L2, D9, W62. Obviously these results mean nothing, it was just an experiment whilst I was sleeping. No honours to mention except Community Shield winner and Champions League & Premier League runner-up in 2019 and Community Shield & FA Cup winner and Premier League 3rd place in 2020. Currently 7 pts. clear at the top of the 2020/2021 table after 26 games.

Read my 1st season review on pg. 52, post #511. I didn't use any tweaks so you can judge for yourself. 8-|

i read the whole thread yesterday, and i think there are some users who play with lower league club.. my suggestion is you try it, but follow all the instructions properly, i'm sure you'll get good results.. and you might consider using the mecca72 tweaks (posted in quotes above), it's good.. idk if it's better than the original (because i just recently use this tac), but the tweaks work for most ppl here

for what it's worth, I used the tweaked version for a month, had mixed results, switched to the home/away versions in the OP and went on a 2 month run that saw me go from relegation to 3rd (lower league in england).

I get the everyone-once-in-a-while 4-0 defeats, but my team is pretty poor for the league I'm in, so I'm not surprised or too upset about it.

Yeah the tactic got such a huge potential. But the defence just isnt there.
But yeah at home its dope. Usually 4-0 in the 20th minute.

I think this tactic should be played with a DM.. working on a DM tweak right now

That would be a good test.

My tweaks are still as I said earlier in the thread, I have however been experimenting with a few things. I wouldn't take these as certain as my team is now world beating.

The CM I changed to B2B I'm still striving for perfection. A CM(s) has probably worked the best so far.

The structured / fluid thing still works really well for me, but I've found myself changing between them at times home and away. You can see sometimes (particularly in away games) that you're dominating and are going to get done!

In these games I switch to fluid (or very fluid) for 10 mins and try and grab a goal. Sometimes changing up the AMC (depending on what formation the AI is using) can help, If they are using a DM and he's getting marked out of the game, I try and get the AM free from him to create something.

None of the above are certain tweaks, just things that have worked for me.
