Great story so far, i've downloaded the database too but where do I put it?

Hmm, good database, glad to see you seem to have noted my comment and adjusted your update to include "man of the month" - a nice little addition there to make it more interesting, However, you seem to have neglected the results a little in the process. I think that maybe this update is a little congested, as you've tried to fit a lot of things into one update as it's the first month of the season and there's a lot to comment on (pre-season feelings, transfers etc.) I'm trying not to criticise this too much, because it's a great story i just personally felt that in the last update it was a little too easy to miss out something like results, you maybe could have split it into two updates, as someone previously suggested. But, i can assure you that this story is getting plenty of attention and followers, so keep up the good work mate, still can't figure out this **** spaniard: "Remember... The ones you wish to save?". Loving the story mate, can you send me a message when you next update mate?

Yeah, I had to try and fit loads in without it being ridiculously long. Really not a fan of two updates, tbh.

Thanks for the contribution mate. Really awesome motivation to keep going.

Yeah i thought that might have been the case, oh well. Fair enough mate, your story, it's been largely very good. Just a thought, i know it takes a fair bit of effort, but when you get to Janurary, and/or the end of season something like this would be good to see (the second [January] part of the update:

I must admit when I read you were closing te arsenal one I was gutted, but this story is far better and very original, keep it up mate :)

La, La, La, La.

"LET'S ALL LAUGH AT TOTTENHAM!
LET'S ALL LAUGH AT TOTTENHAM!
LA LA LA LA!
LA LA LA LA!"

As I calmy sat in the dugout as the brilliant home crowed bellowed out, and I was really proud of my boys, my team. It was the 89th minute and we were heading through to the next round of the League Cup. But we hadn't scraped through. We were sailing at 3-0.

After the match, the lads were jubilant. And rightly so. They deserved to be. I had never been a fan of Spurs, after my loyal days at West Ham, and that made the victory all that sweeter.

The following morning, I performed my usual routine. Get up. ****, shower, shave. Although, I did feel adventurous, and therefore performed my business after my shave. What a devil I am.

I went down to check on the post, as usual. And picked up the usual "Remember" letter. Or what I expected to be the "Remember" letter. It had more words inside it this time.

"February 2011
April 2011
May 2012

One-by-One."

More than solid. That's what that month was. Almost a 100% record except for the draw with Southend, but I didn't mind that as Nile [Ranger] pulled out a stunner of a performance, netting himself two.

I'd actually had selection issues for the first time. The right wing was always troublesome, with Jose Baxter and Jordan Henderson both competing for it. And the centre of midfield had Bradden Inman and Fabian Delph fighting it out. This could only be good, right?

But it seemed the comepetition was too much for James Tomkins as he was replaced by the young 16-year old Lee Wilcox. He's handed in a transfer request, again. I've accepted, this time, and even though I really rate the lad, as a player; as a person, he isn't up to that standard.

There was also good news as I got calls from Stuart Pearce and Noel Blake as I had boys selected for both the U19s and U21s. Good to see that I had at least five in each squad. I'll aim for more in the future, but hey, we're just building.

I had a think today, about who the first member of my current squad will be to get an international cap. I've gone for Michael Mancienne. But he's going to have to work extremely hard, with the tough competition in both the right-back and centre-back roles.

I'd like to say I'm not nervous about the letter. But of course, I am. I'd grown bored of the same old letters, and this change was about as suprising as Stephen Hawking beating Usain Bolt in a 100m race.

Ah, sitting aloft the table. What a lovely place to be.

I'm glad to say I made the video myself this time. :)

Also, if you read this, please comment. Even it is just "I read that." I want to know how many followers I've got, so if everyone comments that has read it, I'll be able to tell. I'm starting to lose motivation, you see.

I lold'. Well done so far, good spelling makes it all the more sweeter :)

You can't quit without the spaniard coming to light!!! :P

Brilliant update as ever, the best story on this site right now.

This story is gr8. Could the spainard be your players whose contracts run out at those dates. as you are trying to save them by stopping them being england rejects.

T'riffic update, as usual. I must have checked this page about twenty times today waiting for the update! As for the Spaniard I'm hedging my bets, but I've a sneaky feeling it'll be Vicente Del Bosque. Looking forward to finding out who it is, but cannot wait for the next update. :)
