This is truly a brilliant idea and one of the best storys I've real for a very long while. Keep up the excellent work.

I think FM-Basers are now bored of reading the stories of the same normal teams over and over again, its time we used some creativity to make stories

mm id have to agree alcarez, finding myself enjoying this story, and mikes story too.

I think Stories set in the future would also be interesting, currently trying to holiday till 2025 and see what i think (gonna start unemployed heh).

Good job as always, this one is a particular!

The Waiting Game

The 20 days before the game against Burton frustrated the lads. They wanted to be playing football, and training ferociously hard, due to lack of matches, was playing on their minds.

There'd been a bust-up between the injured Victor Moses and former Manchester United winger Tom Cleverley. That one was sorted out fairly quickly, and those two are now bunking with each other for the rest of this year.

But on the field, there isn't much to talk about either. The fact that there was only two matches in the whole month underlines that one. It came at the worst time. Just more time to think about that Spanish man. I was considering telling someone, but who? Triesman? No, definately not.

Two wins meant we were firmly on top of the N-Power League Two and that we were in a very strong position. Even with the injuries we were geting, the quality of squad was always going to cover us. But it was nice to beat the rivals, Burton Albion.

I knew this season would be easy. As soon as I closed the deal to bring Jack Rodwell to St. George's Park, I knew. We'd soon be up to where we belong.

Lee Wilcox. I'd exhanged emails with his father, and it turns out he's played for his home-town club Stevanage since he was 10 years old. I'd offered him a trial which was due to take place on the 14th of December. I was looking forward to meeting him.

Good idea but are you not bored? you should be winning every game with that team lol. Are people like rodwell and wilshere etc not becoming unhappy at playing in league 2 and what wages are they all on?

Not bored, really. Obviously it'll get more fun as I progress up the leagues, but I had to make it League 2 for realism reasons.

Haven't got Wilshere, and nah, the guys are actually alright.

Anyone got any feedback? Any other things you'd like to see? I'll probably do more in-depth updates next season, I think.

I love this story Great idea and would like to see the results more in depth such as goalscoreers assists etc

Yeah, I'll be doing that next season when we're not just dominating every match.

just wait til the end of the season mate! thats when you'll struggle... everyone comes in for all your players and if you reject the offers your players become unhappy! It gets more difficult to say the least ;) Good luck though.. im currently winning lg 1 :D

It's a Happy Christmas for the Dragon Slayers
"December 2009; where's the time gone? It was over a year and a half ago since St. George FC were officially formed. And know we're fully flowing and looking brilliant. I've had multiple emails from various fans of my work, saying I'm doing a good job for England. I hope it all works, in the end.

As I collected the post from the front door, I heard a movement in the lounge. I always worked in my office, and I rarely used the lounge nowadays. The noise grew, a sort of rustling. What could it be?

I decided to walk into the lounge, cautiously, of course. This has nothing to do with the Spanish man does it? It can't do, he musn't be able to know where I live.

I poked my head around the grey, smooth arch by the stairs and had a look into the lounge. And then I saw it.

It was a ******* stuck under the sofa. I took a sigh of relief and walked over to the phone to call Pest Control. I'd always hated rats. At least it wasn't what I thought it was.

Overall, a superb month for us. 7 wins out of 7 had virtually guaranteed us a playoff place, at the very least. The squad was developing and the lads were developing into the players I knew they could become.

I'd got into contact with Mr. Wilcox and he'd had his trial. As I expected, he was phenomenal. When he trained with the first team, he didn't look out of place. Bare in mind, this kid is 15! We've now signed him for £250,000 from Stevenage and he's delighted.

My Player of the Month has got to be Tom Cleverley. He's been brilliant for us, throughout the season, but this month has been the cherry on top. With an average rating of just over 8.1 and 5 goals throughout the month, it's been his best yet.

Would love to see how these players develop when they've got enough play time and great training facilities (I'm assuming that your training facilities is 20).

Great idea and good story so far. Can't wait for your next update.

This is a really clever idea, it'd be so interesting to see a project like this in real life, I can't wait to see how far you can go with it. I love the realism you've injected, the use of graphics, the kits - and this shady business with the Spanish guy looks to be a real slow burner - nice Harchester-esque drama brewing in the background!

Good stuff.

Ah, Dream Team, the good old days.
