Great idea mate :) o and you should definitely play cleverley more often :D in my england save first season he's had 4 starts 4 goals from inside forward on the right ;)

Just an update on how im doing;

Another season down and another league won!! Tight at the top however this time winning on the last day of the season over Ipswich.. Worrying perhaps? Am i to succeed in the Championship struggling to win this league? A question to ponder over the summer break! A good run in the FA cup was promising, however, making it to the quarters(beating Sheff Utd 5 -0 , Cashstrapped Pompy 3 - 0 and Stoke 6 - 2 ) only to be stumped by a Tottenham drubbing. A second round exit in the League cup to Fulham wasn't too bad bad a 1st round JPT defeat to Doncaster was rather worrying to say the least! Anyway, a productive season for St George's Dragons under Reed. BRING ON THE CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

Really great story this is a great idea KUTGW. looking forward to finding out more about the spanish man.

Id be careful with Smalling if i were you don't play him too much or there will be a lot of interest in him and Triesman will accept offers for him. He just sold him on my save to inter for 6.25m.... he will be worth 2-3 times that by the time hes 23

Yeah, Smalling is my best player so he gets regular time with Tomkins usually partnering and Mancienne at right-back, and occasionally at centre-back.

Great Idea mate, Very inventive :D I'll be following. BTW who is your top scorer and how many goals?

At the end of January, it is Nile Ranger with 19 from 25.

Nice to know you'll be following. :)

Fantastic story mate, going to love seeing these guys in the premier league :D

Downloading the database and everything tonight, then i'll definately be playing it tommorow!

One question: How did you get those top quality players to league 2?! (Sorry if this has been asked already, if it has, don't answer: i'll find it xD) Im guessing you've set reputations very high..?

As always great story mate, but the hard part will come when u have to sell ur players when they reach the age of 23,just when they are entering their prime

Yeah, going to be tough, but I've got brilliant youngsters coming through all the time, so it should be alright.

Probably about an hour. Just need to sort some things out and then I'll do it.

Morale-a-thon

With the lads being as good as they are, and us being in League 2, we were always going to receive offers in this January Transfer Window. But I was flooded with emails, faxes and calls asking for the players. All rejected, of course.

The players' agents had been informed of the offers, as they came in, and of course were understandably unhappy when I denied them the chance to play at a higher division. "Patience." I told them; but it wasn't going to work on everyone.

The only signing of January was that of promising Stevenege left-back, and future England star Lee Wilcox. Ryan Nouble also head out on loan to Northampton.

"Look, lads. I created this club, not for me. Not for the fans, but for you guys. I want to give you a future, a great future. I want to make sure you don't end up like every other England reject. I want to save you guys from rejection and I am doing this because I truly believe that all of you can make the England team at some point in the future and I am helping you there."

I had sat the lads down for that team-talk on the 31st of the month, after two losses and two draws in our worst month to date. The fight had not been helpful in encouraging them, so I had to intervene.

We'd only conceded three goals in January, and yet we only got five points from five games. The defense was performing well; but the strike-force lacked that cutting edge when Nile Ranger wasn't about. He is the key.

I also got a call from Terry Venables, wondering if I've got a job for him in my backroom staff. He said he loves the idea of what we're doing and wants to be a big part of it. I've allowed him to become a coach, and along with Brian Eastick and Gary Lewin, the backroom staff is further improved upon.

Not long yet until we get one step closer to developing into a Premier League club. Not long yet until clubs fear us and our future greats. Not long yet until we taste silverware for the first time. And not long yet before these lads get their chance on the greatest stage of all, in the shirt that bares Three Lions.
