Ole, Ole, Ole!
Willcox to Henderson. Nice little pass from the young lad.
Henderson, sees the brilliant run from Delfounso.
Delfounso holds up well.
Laid back to Delph...
FABIAN DEEELLPH! YAAAA BEAUTYYYYY!
It'd been a brilliant night. The taste of champagne from the League Two trophy, rather unsanitary, I know, was sweeter than ever. The lads were singing and dancing and I could see how passionate they really were.
"Every single one of them was brilliant and they haven't faltered all season. It's been phenomenal to work with these lads over the course of the season and I am looking forward to taking them into the N-Power League 1, next year."
I watched my interview from after the Rotherham game after Fabian had netted our third of the game and handed us the trophy. That was one of the most brilliant moments in my career. In my life.
With the title firmly in our grasps, and temporarily in the club's trophy cabinet, I could let the guys who hadn't been playing regularly, have a go. And they still pull out quality results. It's really good to see the depth of our squad is so strong.
Mark Lawrenson and Alan Hansen were discussing our tactics. I laughed, as I took a sip of my Baileys, which sent a warm sensation down my throat. They were analysing us, and were getting the majority wrong!
I was probably the happiest man in the world at that moment and the tip of the iceberg was when I was rung by Fabio Capello, the man himself, congratulating how well I'd down and that he is a big fan of my idea. He wants to see us succeed. Who am I to let him down?
I've got one more update left this season, and then we're into Season 2.
