Cheers mate! Yeah Bridcutt is a surprise he could be playing for a top 4 club. Surprised he hasn't got his first cap yet. He has been called up by England 3 times and Scotland 2 times so don't know which nation he will play for.

“Decided to invest in youth Lawton and Robson are both going into the youth team and will be the future of the club. Couldn’t turn down Will Hughes for £2.5m which is a bargain and will go into the first team. Defoe is a great poacher although the transfer is low his wages are quite high, so hopefully he can add some goals. With Hughes coming I have four players in the AP role: Buckley, West, Forster-Caskey so had to sell Crofts who is great but nearing 30. The rest were not good enough.”

Season Summary
Our second season in the Premier League and we finished 6th. We got to the 4th round of the League cup, 5th round of the FA cup and the semi-final of the Euro cup. This season we have defied all the odds and finished in 6th place in our second season which is a fantastic achievement. Both domestic cups we didn’t do very well in this season but to be fair we had to play Chelsea and Man City so not that disappointed. In the Euro Cup we did fantastically well and reached the semi’s and were only 90 minutes away from reaching the final. We beat Schalke, Montpellier and got a home win against Barcelona which is an outstanding achievement considering we were playing Championship football not too long ago.

At the end of the season Man Utd (setting a new points total of 96) won the league; Chelsea, Arsenal and Man City make up the remaining Champions League places. Misery for Watford, Swansea and Burnley who were all relegated. They have been replaced by Blackburn, Wolves and Fulham who have come up from the Championship. Tottenham finished 5th but won the League Cup and Man City won the FA Cup. As Tottenham won the League Cup they will be playing in the Euro Cup alongside Liverpool (FA Cup runners up) and us who finished 6th. Another year in Europe looking forward to this.

Round Europe: PSG, FC Bayern, Ajax, Napoli, FCP and Barcelona won their leagues. Real Madrid beat Man City 2-1 in the Champions League. Chelsea beat Barcelona 2-1 in extra time of the Euro Cup.

New Season:
With the surprising finish in the league and Europa Cup decided to set these objectives:
Achieve a top 8 finish
Reach the Quarter final stage of the Europa Cup
Reach a semi-final of a domestic cup
Achieve 51% + possession in most games
Play youth players

Signings:
In:
Seydou Doumbia – free
Kyriakos Papadopoulos - £6m
James Milner – free
Robson - £2m

Out:
Gordon Greer – retired (now u18 coach)
Bruno – retired
Adrian – loan expired
Mackail-Smith – free
Jermaine Defoe - £500k

“Decided to sign some quality players this year rather than just youth which will hopefully push us up the table. Both Doumbia and Milner were available on freed and will add quality to the squad. Papadopoulos was a steel at £6m and will provide competition at center back and anchorman role. Robson is a young Brazilian regen who I signed a while ago but finally turned 18. I loaned him out with Inter the only club to take him. If he’s already getting into the Inter he has a bright future in Brighton. The transfers out were either not good enough or retired.”

Pre-season:
Oxford 1 v 1 Brighton
Leicester 0 v 0 Brighton

“Being in Europe again meant we had a short pre-season. But we played poorly in both games with Milner being the only shining light. Doumbia was particularly poor.”

West also got a surprise call up to the England squad and has 3 caps and 1 goal now.

sounds like a great story. How much detail did you go into when creating the player "you" in the game?

sounds like a great story. How much detail did you go into when creating the player "you" in the game?
Went into quite a lot of detail, I based it on the style of footballer I am: the Modric, Iniesta type player - not as good obviously! Went quite detailed with my details, attributes, preferred moves, positions. Didn't really bother with career plans or relationships. My current ability is quite low 90 I think, but I put my potential ability quite high like Messi standard. But finally got my first few caps for England so hopefully can stay there, but got a bit of competition from Will Hughes at club and international level!
